Im so glad that I found this place while I lived in Michigan! It was among my fondest memories here. It caters to every level, which is hard to do for adults in a city that isnt huge. Yet they are so successful that the classes at any time are never empty, in fact usually quite full. As an adult I find the other fellow adult students not only come to enjoy taking dance classes, they surely do, but also making steady progress. And Christina herself is one of the funniest, most positive and savage woman alive. I am leaving this review because I hope you are also lucky like me to find this studio on Google map, just as I did four years ago. I lived in Ann Arbor when I visited this studio. Id say its worth at least 30 min travel, maybe more. I really miss this place!

If you are or used to be a professional dancer, or if you have never put on a leotard, Christina is the right teacher for you. If you think thats impossible, go try a class! Christinas great gift is in seeing each students potential and pushing them to just one step beyond. She is honest and tough; never mean. Many of her students have been with her over a decade, some two - a testament to her ability to make her classes right for each student.Christinas Adult Ballet is not just a dance studio, its a community of wonderful people. Join it! And oh yeah, you might get a workout too. :)

I love going to my dance classes at Christinas because they are very professional and friendly at the same time. Its doesnt matter if you are a beginner or a professional but at Christinas you feel comfortable

I could spend an hour writing about what a great teacher Christina is, and what brings me back there week after week; and year after year. But I know you dont want to read a novel, so Ill keep it short... I have been studying ballet forever and it is truly an addiction. Over the years I have taken thousands of classes. Ive studied from some of the best teachers and some of the best known teachers in the country. With that said, I would not hesitate to say that Christina is among the best. So why? She has a method of teaching that is creatively different from any other. I take the advanced class, but she offers all levels. Every two weeks Christina choreographs a new class. As with every teacher, there are always some combinations that you could probably do in your sleep, but thats where it ends. Mixed in with these are scores of combinations that youve never seen before; never seen anything like before. What intrigues me, is that over the twenty + years Ive been taking from her, she has not had two tendu exercises the same. Its really incredible. The next on the list, is her sense of artistry. There are always subtleties to her choreography. Whether its port de bras or head position, every combination is different, and is taught in such a way that you can learn those subtleties. So what I find is that in her class, is that its not just about learning the combinations, its about dancing. The last thing Id like to tell you about Christina is her wonderful personality. Although you may not always get the combinations, or dance the way her choreography should be danced, you are always treated like an equal, like a friend. That is just as important to me as how she teaches, and what she teaches. I spend three mornings, including Sunday, and one evening, Monday night, in her class every week. If I didnt have a full time job, Id take even more classes. I guaranty that Christinas class will meet your expectations. Try it just just once and youll see what Im talking about.
