My daughter has been practicing Karate at Villari’s for a little over a year. The moves are great. I can tell she is building her strep. However, learning about respect, self discipline and self control has been an added bonus. She is taught these principles at home and at school, but I would have never have thought to teach her the definitions of each and have her repeat them over and over. Putting the words in action and understanding why Has been eye opening for me and her.I also love that the children learn to be leaders at a young age and to be confident. The junior high age children and high schoolers are leading whole classes with confidence.

The longevity of this place speaks volumes. I took lessons at Villari’s in Enfield as a child over 30 years ago and they’re still there. In the exact same spot. The three-pronged approach helped me focus and be more calm as a kid and still helps guide me to this day. Though I haven’t taken classes there in ages I still wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I love taking my son here. The classes are structured and fun for the kids at the same time. I have a 5 yr old that goes there and they make sure all the kids feel welcome. The instructors are great. They have many options available so there is always something that should meet your needs. Go check them out. You will not be disappointed

Villaris Martial Arts Center has done so much for my nephews.(Aaron & Jack Carlin) They are incredibly skilled teachers and these two have grown and developed so much since they started. Not to mention how much more disciplined they are. Its amazing what they have learned since they started and how excited they are to keep learning.. as a part time care giver for them on their days off from school its a lot of fun .. theyve become so much more respectful and helpful at home and with their two other siblings. I have had one son attending for 8 months and he has loved going and it is a huge part of his week. The instructors are great with kids and really provide a great environment for them. I really like Villaris Martial Arts school of karate. Mr.S is an awesome instructor who teaches me front, back and thrust punches. Ive also learned front, back and side kicks so far. I also know some blocks to help defend myself. I really like when he picks students to help help lead the class. I love that Mr.S sees that I am working hard and gives me praises. We switched to Karate when team sports didn’t seem to suit my son’s personality. It’s the best decision we could have made. As an adult Ive trained at Villaris in Enfield for about 12 years now. The staff is excellent !! I had tried other karate centers and Villaris beats them all hands down ! The programs for children from Little Dragons, starting at around 4 years old and going thru high school are unsurpassed. It is the only place that I would recommend for professional martial arts training. The foundation of the martial arts training provided at Villars are based on respect, self discipline and self control. You should stop in and watch a class - youll be AMAZED !

This place is crazy good. Andrew the lead instructor and the rest of the instructors really care about the kids. The kids get to learn and have fun while having fun. And yes, sometimes I have to ask my 6-year-old daughter not to back kick her daddy. I recommend this place if youd like to get your children into karate.

Enrolling our children (ages 5 and 3.5) at Villaris has been one of the best decisions. Their program teaches children the 3 rules of karate (respect, self control and self discipline) but also promotes confidence. Our kids are always excited to attend class. The instructors are amazing. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The instructors take the time to make sure everyone is following along and help correct the children without making them feel like they are making a mistake. They really promote a positive attitude which makes for a great program! Villaris also does a lot of community events that kids enjoy being a part of.

During our vacation in Maine last week, an elderly lady approached us at our breakfast table to thank us for my son holding the door open for them as she and her husband entered the restaurant. The Adult class rocks!! I started when I was 45 years old, never to late to start! I look forward to every class, its so much fun and you make awesome friends and learn so much about the martial arts system. I have never been so fit and its a great stress reliever after work. My son is very athletic but wasnt too interested in the baseball, football or basketball programs our town offers. He signed up for an intro after school program in first grade through his elementary school and immediately loved karate. He joined the studio shortly thereafter and has been going for the past six years now. He enjoys going to class year round, which is a huge plus, and he has done well competing at the tournaments. When i started going to Villaris in 2008, i was not sure if i was going to enjoy it. But, after my first class i didnt just enjoy it, I loved it. You get a good hands-on education learning how to defend yourself. Also, it also teaches you important life lessons. You learn good respect, self control, and self discipline not only in for when you are at the dojo, but when you are at home or school or work. There are also two programs that helps you learn to become an instructor. The S.T.O.R.M (Student Team Of Role Models) and CIT (Certified Instructor Training). These programs not only teach you how to become an instructor, but i boosts your self confidence, especially in front of big groups and crowds. What i really enjoy about Villaris is the amazing people that I meet. I met some of my best friends at Villaris. So if you are a child or an adult looking to learn self defense and to boost your self confidence and make life long friends, i strongly recommend joining the Villaris community. you wont regret it.

I enrolled my daughter about a month ago and she absolutely loves it! The instructors are great with kids and very fair! I also enrolled myself into the adults class and i love it as well!

I have been doing Karate for 4 years, and I love it. I look forward to going to class everytime. Everybody is so nice and friendly. The instructors work really well with everybody, and are willing to help. You also meet lots of new people, who become some of your best friends. Ive been going to this school for over 8 years and looking back on that time i would not trade it for the world. every time i walk through the doors it feels like im at home. the staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. after every class i feel leaving re-energized and excited to come back to learn more. i highly recommend it to anyone who has ever thought of trying the martial arts. its the best school you will find.

The staff at Villaris Enfield are absolutely amazing! I have to tell you that I am not an athletic person at all, but the friendly and knowledgeable staff here make learning the martial arts extremely fun and engaging.I tried going to other fitness facilities a few times, and I was always nervous not knowing how to use the exercise equipment, intimidated by being with other people who were far more advanced than I was, and just outright bored doing the same tedious exercises over and over again.At Villaris, there is always something new and fun to lean, and the patient staff take you through each exercise step-by-step until you have mastered it.In a typical 60 minute session we will meditate, go through extensive stretching, calisthenics, improve balance and coordination, strengthen our core, practice self-defensive maneuvers, and strengthen our mental acuity. These sessions are the highlight of my week, and I always look forward to going back to the dojo!Finally, not only do you strengthen your mind and body, but you also build bonds with instructors and other students. Sure it feels awkward at first going to a new place where you do not know anyone, but I have been attending classes for two months now, and I feel like I am part of something greater than a gym. Going to Villaris feels like vising family.Seriously, if you are reading reviews about this place (especially really long-winded ones) you owe it to yourself to give it a try! I promise, you will not regret it!

My families martial arts experience began at Villaris over 3 years ago. I was looking for a place for my then 4 year old to be active, make friends and enforce the rules that we use at home. It has been one of the best decisions that we have ever made. After a year for my son I joined the program as well. Starting in the martial arts in your 30s is a unique experience, but the friendly and skilled staff at Villaris have been top notch. Thanks in part to the lessons learned here my son is constantly complimented in regard to his maturity and self control. Not to mention the physical benefits that we both receive. Dont be fooled by other programs in town, no one does it better than Villaris.

Our son started at Villaris when he was 8 years old. He didnt like soccer and thought karate would be cool. His dad and I liked both the fitness and the character-building aspects that we learned about upon visiting the studio. About 6 months after our son joined, my husband and I both joined as well! We love it. The fitness benefit is top-notch for all of us. Beyond that, however, is the emphasis on character; principles like respect, self-control, teamwork, fairness, self-discipline are all taught alongside the physical side of karate. Weve all found great friends there and enjoy our classes immensely. My son, now 10, is in the leadership program, and he is dedicated to earning his black belt .
