My son attended children of America in Ellicott city for three months and we had a great experience,The teachers are very nice and made his first experience in a center very comfortable. In the beginning he would cry and I could see in the cameras that they would hug him and comfort him.He learned how to share with other kids and Adored his teachers.

My child has been going to Children Of America for three months and I am very pleased with the staff, management, curriculum and cleanliness of the center. The employees always greet us with a smile and are very enthusiastic about the day that lies ahead. I have noticed significant changes in my childs speech development since enrollment. Keep up the good work!!!

Our son has been at this center since he was 7 months old, and we have had a very positive experience. We have loved each of the teachers that he has had, and it was hard leaving one room to go to another-when he moved up in age. I know that he was in good hands, both in terms of care and education. Weekly themes are followed each week, depending upon the month, holidays, and current events. He has come home with so many creative experience, more than I could ever provide alone at home. There is an mobile app for ease of communication, but we have found that all the teachers and directors are available to talk at any time. Each day, we have pictures of what our son has learned and made at school and lengthy remarks about the daily schedule. We are even provided with questions and activities that we can do with our son to review at home.I love the facility and how there is ample room inside and outside. He loves to go to City Place when it is too cold outside-he asks for it all of the time. The outside play area is wonderful as well.Thank you to everyone who takes care of our child on a day-to-day basis.

We feel so lucky to have found a place for my daughter. Shes loved and well taken cared of by her teachers. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. My daughter started out at The Young school and didnt do well and was crying the whole time; but as soon as we switched to COA, it only took her a few days to warm up. No more feeling guilty when having to drop her off in the mornings. Thanks everyone at COA!

I love this daycare center. My 3.5-year old has been going here since she was 4 months old. I also have a baby in the infant room now and she gets a lot of TLC. My 3-year old is excited for school each day. Her teachers are loving and communicate well with our family. The director and assistant director genuinely care about the children.

Our children love it here. The teachers are great and keep the kids attention with different activities and crafts. Tadpoles app is great - we get pictures and daily report delivered to email and on app. Our daughter has learned so much in the preschool program. Highly recommend.

My daughter has been at COA for about 7 months now on the infant side and we have had a great experience. They are supportive, understanding, and encouraging her development. It’s nice to know that she has teachers who love seeing her grow develop like we do!

My daycare experience with Children of America has been very positive. My daughter loved going to COA and was sad when she had to leave to start kindergarten. However, she always looks forward to returning to see her favorite staff members and old friends when attending summer camp at the facility. The summer camp is an exceptional addition to the regular daycare program and always provides my daughter with fun summertime activities and age appropriate field trips.

My two children attended CoA for almost a year and we absolutely loved it. The staff proved attentive to my childrens needs, and communicated well with both my husband and myself. The facilities encourage fun and learning, and all of the rooms are very clean. I also particularly loved the camera monitoring system which allowed me to check in on my children at any time of the day. I would encourage this center to anyone considering part- or full-time daycare for their children.

Have my 4 year old twin daughters there. Couldnt be happier. They learn so much, and a great environment. Flexible hours too which helps with both parents working full time.

The best childcare!! very helpful, cooperative and nice management. the center is big, new, and clean. a lot of fun things for the kids to do and a lot more to learn. my son is in preschool 1 with Ms. Carla. she is the best, my son loves her. I had a bad experience with another childcare in the area and I was so happy to find a place for my son at COA, I really can see the difference. my son is learning a lot every day!! I really hope that they will consider driving to veterans elementary school next year because I really want to move my older one to COA for before and after care.

Our family absolutely LOVEs Children of America. The staff and teachers are caring, involved, and always make a point to let us know how our daughter is doing throughout the day. When we drop her off, shes all smiles and when we go to pick her up, shes always happy and looks like she thoroughly enjoys herself. We cant say enough how much we enjoy having our daughter at COA. Thank you for all of the work you do in keeping our baby girl happy and engaged!

We HATED this daycare from day 1. I regret putting my son through this experience. Heres why you should avoid this center:-CURSING: After dropping my son off in one of the infant rooms, I went back 10 minutes later to sneak a peek through the window to see if he wasnt crying anymore. Not only was he still crying, but I overheard the teachers cursing (F word, and H word)! After telling the director what happened, she said the teachers claimed they didnt. So I guess she was calling me a liar?-NO TLC: My son had just started and I was hoping they would offer a little TLC since he was brand new to the daycare scene. Instead, I see on the video surveillance that they left him sitting at the table, unstrapped, crying, no food/drink, and trying to get out from the seat. The teachers werent even sitting with him at the table, they were pretty much ignoring him. My mother saw this and decided to pick him up early; by the time she got there, he was still at the table crying, and she discovered he had a dirty diaper!-TURNOVER: The director left with no explanation on our first day. Tanya got promoted to director - shes nice, but isnt ever positive/confident when answering questions. A couple of teachers had put in their two weeks notice. Teachers seem to rotate frequently throughout the day. My son had to deal with about 5 teachers in one day.-YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR: We were lured in with the really attractive, low tuition. BIG MISTAKE!

We did not have a good experience at this daycare and find it over priced compared to others in the area.We were notified by one of our childrens teachers that a new teacher was smoking marijuana during her break during normal working hours. We were told that the new teacher was sometimes high when she was in the class. When we brought it to the directors attention they told us they would look into it but any follow up would be corporates decision. This included drug testing and termination of employment. The teacher still works there today. We requested a meeting with Joseph from corporate in regards to the teacher smoking marijuana incident and he told us that it was braught to his attention and that he would look into the matter but he did not do anything about it or fallow up with us on anything. The directors for this center are rude and unprofessional and are not truthful when you approach them regarding any concerns. One day as I was about to approach my younger daughters toddler class I saw one of the teachers grab another childs hand and dragged him from the door entrance. It was very upsetting to see. I asked her why did she did that. I told her that was wrong and I told her I hope to God she never did that to my daughter or any of the other kids. Many of the teachers are always on their phones during working hours. One day I overheard one of the teachers cursing and she didnt even realize I was standing behind her.The only One good thing I have to say about this place is you have the option of seeing your kids throughout the day from your cell phone or computer.

This Ellicott city location is horrible it looks like a very nice school inside and out but the staff up front is terrible and unprofessional the lady director wears pants that are literally dragging across the floor she doesnt seem to bright when she talks and I wont name names but the director is such a a bore and looks unhappy .oh and not to forget I once received a picture of the food being fed to my child and it literally looked like crap on a plate this place is obviously more concerned about making money rather then caring about the children and the staff you would think that a preschool would be more loving and appreciative but I guess not . The teachers on the other hand are very sweet my children love their rooms but The foundation has alot to do with it .Hopefully they work on the flaws

We really love this daycare! My son started there about a year ago when he was about 15 months old. When he started, he was not even walking consistently, but he has learned SO MUCH. From motor and fine motor skills to knowledge, I know that the staff at COA are doing their jobs with excellence. He is now in the Twos A classroom. His teachers are attentive and knowledgable. They plan engaging lessons which are well balanced with facts and fun. This week they learned about Martin Luther King Jr. When I go to pick him up, they are doing a variety of activities which encompass both play and learning. They change diapers frequently, they provide food (this is a MUST on this busy moms list), they communicate well (both in person and through the Tadpoles app), and they are creative educators. I am so happy to have found this SCHOOL for my son.A couple of months ago, my six month old daughter also started at COA. She is just a baby, but her teachers do an equally good job of teaching her. She gets to play with toys often. They have a variety of places for infants to hang-out, including swings, bouncy seats, assistive chairs, and mats on the floor. One of her favorite things seems to be to look in the mirror. They feed infants based on a three hour mark, unless told otherwise. I have directed them to feed her by hunger cues instead of the hour mark, and for the most part, this seems to be done. I am thankful to have FULL TRUST in the providers at this center. My only wish is that she would sleep a little bit more there, because she sleeps many more hours over the weekend. I imagine this is made slightly more difficult because she is surrounded by her peers and taking in every minute detail of the world around her.The staff is pretty large, but teachers mostly remain consistent, with floaters coming in to relieve the main teachers for breaks, as needed. I have gotten to know the main teachers that I see daily, and EVERYONE is friendly and kind. The center is clean and has wonderful features. The outdoor playground is a favorite of my son, and when it is too cold to go outside, they have an indoor play area called City Place. City Place even has a ball pit...another fav. There are a number of programs that come in that you can also be apart of including Soccer Shots and a music class (for additional fees). We also get two school pictures taken per year, once in the spring and once in the winter. One downside is a steep late fee ($20 per child if you are over 10 hours). Very sadly, I was charged $40 for being only three minutes late. It would be nice if this was calculated with a total number of hours for the week instead of for the day. Alternately, it would be nice if the fee corresponded to a number of minutes (like a dollar a minute?). It was quite a blow to pay $40 for only three minutes. I did not detract from the five star review despite this annoyance. After making that mistake one time, I will ensure I pick up within the ten hour mark from here on forward. And lets be honest, ten hours is a nice chunk of time, when a typical work day lasts about eight.

We LOVE COA, Ellicott City!!The facility is beautiful and bright and we are very pleased with the nutrition, physical activities, safety, and educational program. My children have all learned SO much socially and academically!! We love the tadpoles app that sends us pictures and video clips of the activities our children are engaged in while we are at work. However, the most important thing to us is the amazing staff at COA, Ellicott City. The love and care the have show all 3 of my children means so much to me! The staff are knowledgeable, caring, and hard working. We continue to be beyond appreciative of the amazing staff at COA, Ellicott City!! (every year since fall of 2011! :) Thank you!!!
