My girls are 7 and 4 and just started at Shim’s a few months ago but they love it. They always have a smile on their face when they go there. Master George and Oscar are great instructors with great experience and patience (especially with my little one, who is easily distracted... and a handful). All students appear love going there and the range is great from the youngsters starting out to the older kids who are competing at national levels and have a real passion for it. I highly recommend Shim’s to anyone!

Theyre amazing. Everyone is very attentive to the children. Children learn about respect and how to follow rules. I have my son registered for the second consecutive year on the aftercare program and he loves it. He gets his homework done, as well Taekwondo classes and some supervised fun physical activities.

My son has been going to Shims Academy for a few years now. Hes in the after school program there and he loves it! It has taught him so much. The instructors & staff are truly amazing with the kids.

This academy helped my daughter grow so much, not only academically, but also with coping to be away from me. She has also learn to be discipline. Masters are very responsible and respectful. Now, my brother also attends to the academy and he is also learning a lot. I have also refer my friend and she has told me that she really likes how her sone is learning.

Shim has been a wonderful and safe place for my children to come and complete their homework while engaging in Martial Arts.

This is a great school. I, an adult, have benefited greatly from the knowledge of the instructors. Since January 2016, Ive lost about 30lbs and it has been greatly in part because of my training with Master Vin and other great instructors. All instructors and other students have been amazing to me and my growth, not only as a beginner martial artist, but as a human in general.Ive been privileged to see the instructors working with kids and, frankly, I cant see why these kids wont grow up to be great, responsible and respectable adults, mainly because of the training and discipline the receive from Master Alfaro, who is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and his instructors.What Ive learned from them is something that i will have, and cherish, for the rest of my life.Thank you, Shims Martial Arts Academy.

My kids have been going here for the last 3 years and they love everything about it. The instructors really care about the kids and making sure they do good both in school and taekwondo. My sons have represented Shims in Taekwondo tornament in the States and will be at the Nationals as well.

All the masters and instructors are without a doubt the best. What they have accomplished over many decades is inmensurable.

A great school run by Master Alfaro who is a disciplined and a strong instructor. He commands authority and the children and adults respect him. This TKD is about community and offers so much more than just your traditional martial arts classes. The facility is good and very large. The instructors are well trained and patient.

This school has been such a positive help in my families loves. They show compassion and care while building strong foundations in each and every one of their students. When there is room for improvement they let their students know and when they see improvement they praise the child in knowing they are doing better. I feel they have a no child left behind act because I have yet to see Sir Oscar, Sir Hazari, Sir Alex or any other instructor ever give up on any child. This location is more than just a tae kwon do learning center this is our second home and we couldnt be more blessed to say so.

Excellent Olympic Sparring TKD program running in SMAA school !!! My daughter has been able to achieve so much training in their Invictus Sport TKD program. During 2.5 years in this school, she has fought to be a current Junior AAU USA Team member, former cadet USA Team member, she won US Open 2016, Canada Open 2015-16, and many many more local and regional tournaments. Nothing could be possible w/out her Master coaches Richard DeGeorge and Oscar Alfaro, as well as her teammates support. If your child is a black belt and wants to achieve something competitively, Invictus Sport TKD is the place to be!
