I am now a sophomore in high school and the 3 years at Basset Middle School were the best years of my life. Amazing experiences and the teachers really did help me out. Also I will never forget about being a hound and the people Ive met there!

I wouldnt say it is the best, it is a little older and near and older neighborhood. However, my son has really been enjoying all his classes and all of his teachers are really great and care about the students learning. I have been a little frustrated with his scheduled being changed. But, the bottom line for me, is knowing that my kid is learning and his teachers are there to teach, not just to collect a pay check. This is a really good school because of the teachers.

Not the best, I went here from 2015-2017 and the teachers are nice, I saw a couple of bad reviews that said teachers were horrible but they appeared to have changed that when I got there. Also in old reviews were perverted and sexist games that the students would do faculty would do nothing about it but when I went it here it was just pure good relationships! Its getting better definitely and theyre rebuilding so its good.

This is the most terrible school I’ve ever seen. My son goes here and he’s on an IEP and they DO NOT follow it no matter how much I have gone to the school and talked to the teachers principal etc. my son was pushed over by another older kid where his finger was broken and had to have 2 surgeries to repair it in the matter of 6 months. The school never reprimanded the child that hurt my son. The teachers do not care for the non Hispanic speaking children. My sons teachers speak Spanish in their classrooms and when he asks them to translate he gets told “he lives in El Paso he should know Spanish” these are just some of the horrible things that go on at this school. Bullying is tolerated there all they do is tell the kids to stop and leave the other kid alone. There’s no disciplinary action taken for bullying another kid. Do not enroll your child in this school.

This school is just awful. My daughter goes here and it has been the worse experience we have had with any school. We are military and Im seriously just thinking about home schooling her. She has been out of school for three weeks due to medical issues. I have been to the school 4 times, called several times, filled out forms just to request her school work so she doesnt get behind. We still havent gotten it. She talks about kids cussing all the time in class and talking about drugs and nothing is done. At this point I am having to contact the board of education to try to get them to get her school work. I would not recommend anybody send their kid to this school. If this is what El Paso ISD has to offer, they need to step up their game a lot more and put the students first!

I think, its a great school. There is rarely bullying. It is the parents that tell their children, hit back if anybody does anything to you. Then u have the parents. that dont supervise, make their children take responsibility, do their homework, and dont hang around kids that are trouble. Know, who u r children are hanging around at school, and u wont have any problems. All things change but some people dont. Teachers can only facilitate the learning process, kids need to know it is their responsibility to learn. Remember that old adage: You can lead a horse to drink water but you cant make it, drink it! Parent Involvement is needed at school. You dont quit involvement after elementary school.

Bassett is a hardworking school that will push you beyond the expectations of other schools. Teachers are always willing to help a student and provide them conmfort with their problems and go well beyond the requirements that theyre asked of. The education system is challenging for students but its to help them recall notes for upcoming tests and qyizzes at the end of the week. Moving on to the topic of violent fights, there has been only one on school campus during school hours and one after school hours also on school campus grounds. Bassett is a school that pushes the limits of education and isnt afraid to try something new. They have a hardworking staff and have determined volunteers that help out habitually.

I went because I had to from 2011-2013. I do admit 7th grade was not as bad as 8th, but they didnt challenge you. I had a horrible science teacher named Ms. Rocha, and I try to forget the terrible things she said to me, but I cant. The only nice thing about the school was that a lot of military children mainly go to this school or Ross. Hopefully its changed since then.

I love this school because I go there and I met so many people l never regret meeting so no one is calling this school bad or I will kick their ass.

I Currently Go To This School, This Is My First Year. And This School Is Horrible. The Kids Are Bad, Loud, They Cuss Around The Teachers And They Dont Say Anything. I Walked Into A Fight On Accident. People Fight A lot When The Teachers Arent Around. The Girls There Are Fast They Always Wear Tight Uniform Shirts And TIGHT skinny Jeans, They Talk About Disgusting Things About What They want To Do To Boys There. The Teachers Just Throw Work At You And Barely Explain It. Boys Always Hits On Girls and Grab On Them and The Girls Like It. The Only People That Think This School Is Cool Are The People Doing Does Things. Military Kids Like Me Get Targeted By The Other People, But So Far Nobody Had The Balls To Mess With Me Yet. THIS SCHOOL NEEDS JESUS.

The teachers they dont care about the students they are just plain mean. Seriously why do you have to wear uniforms its only red and white shirts and brown pants. The students always bully someone else this school hasnt even change. There are 8 classes and thats too much and the classes are too long and there so many books to carry and the lockers are too small.

I really like it because they have the best teachers ever and I think is old because my mom went there but is in really good conditions to be old.😍😄💜💜💜 I recommended 💪🏻👌👌🏻👊🏽✌🏾
