My grand kids go to school here . The staff is nice . I appreciate them.

This school has very light hearted teachers who enjoy having fun with the kids. The teachers explain subjects well and make an effort to help you understand them.

I used to go to that school for 4 years and it was lovely all the teachers were nice and kind hearted. The principal was amazing, but sadly she had left the same year I had so many of the new students couldnt experience such am amazing principal that I had.

I have to write a review after placing my child into Kindergarten at REL for the first semester of the school year, and then pulling her out mid way through to place her into another school. The differences were astonishing. REL is very militant and is not parent/teacher friendly. At least our experience was as such. We were not allowed to walk our children to class, or to the cafeteria to line up in the morning. There was a rule to drop them at the front door. My child was reprimanded for hopping in line and received a sad face for the day for doing so. I asked the teacher if she was talking, and the teacher replied, no. This small, tiny example, and many other rather significant instances led us to look elsewhere. We spoke to the principle on a couple accounts,... to no avail. We switched schools at the beginning of the 2nd semester to hear from her new kinder teacher that our child is definitely GT and we ought to have her tested. If you know anything about GT kids, they are outspoken, highly sensitive, messy, funny, and think outside the box. REL is an inside the box kind of school. I am very happy to report that our kiddo is flourishing, happy, and was rewarded a medal for being one of the top 5 readers in her class. Yay for YISD being an open district =)

I think rel washington is awesome l use to go there I got As and Bs every single time I got a report card
