I brought my granddaughter here and she enjoyed it so much. It was not only so much fun but very creative. The staff was so helpful and friendly. She cannot wait to enroll in classes. I highly recommend this to parents to give their children a great experience. Also it is a great idea for birthday parties.

I found this place thanks to a birthday party. Hands down the best one my kid has ever been to. The staff were super attentive and made the experience very fun for the children. I signed my son up for a session and we’ve been customers ever since. I definitely recommend the Messy Artist.

My kids love the classes! Unique station play, sensory bins and cool projects. The station play environment isnt just for fun, it enables kids to work on socialization, develop fine motor skills and an understanding of color as well. Drop in open play sessions are also a great way to experience all the sensory play TMA has to offer. Weve been going since my first son was 18 mos and he is 5 now!

We have taken art classes and have had a party here for our daughter and we love, love, love it! The teachers are very attentive and really engage with the children. They offer sensory art classes for younger students which are great for our little Hannah to build strength in her hands and learn about different colors. She also loves when the teacher tells a story at the end of class.She had an amazing time at her party as well and her friends really loved all the stations. Especially the sensory box filled with confetti paper! For the party, The Messy Artist let us choose from a list of activities and each child got to paint and bring home a project. An hour and a half seems like enough time for the kids to play, eat food and dessert. The best part about it is the staff sets up and cleans up everything so you dont have to do a thing! We are considering having Hannahs party here again. Thank you Messy Artist for everything!

They have a ton of classes - from sewing, crocheting to painting, knitting and jewelry making. They also cater to a range of skill levels, so whether youre a newbie or more advanced, youll find a class that matches your ability.I took the five week beginners knitting course, and I loved it. It was a bit pricey, but the teacher was incredibly experienced and I finished the five weeks with a great base knowledge and a finished product that I was pretty proud of. This place provides a great opportunity to learn something new, and have a good time doing it.

Had a great time at family paint night. My daughter had a blast being able to paint on her own and getting help if she needed from the teachers. She said she would give it a hundred star rating if she could and can’t wait to go back!

Perfect party spot where your kids have an enriching Art experience that you get to take home with you.The Messy Artist hosted 20 kids for our sons birthday party. From the moment we arrived the staff made our sons special event a memorable one.Our kids and their friends loved the variety of activities and getting their hands messy. Weve been back a handful of times and even did an adult drink and draw outing.I highly recommend you check it out for yourself and awaken the little artist in your child.

We had such a great time! This was our best party for our children! AMAZING facility and staff! I think the parents had more fun than the kids! The staff was wonderful with ALL of the children and we had a wide age range from 2-11!!! Organized, clean, energetic, respectful all while getting totally messy! We will be going back to take a class now! Thank you for a truly memorable day!

I had won a tricky tray $50 coupon for this place from a Down Syndrome event. The gift card coupon was in an envelope inside a picture frame therefore it doesn’t state their “agreement “ with the fundraiser committee. When I called to redeem the gift they stated that I cannot use it for a trial class ($25 each per child) since it states on the paper that it can only be used for a semester enrollment or party. If I had seen the paper (which I stated was inside a frame when it was raffled off) I would have never tried to win this bogus prize. The lady said I can use this $50 coupon only to pay for a $200+ enrollment classes or a $350+ party ... which means they didn’t really donated this for a child to actually use for a class but so they can lure you into paying more! That is such a gimmick and totally defeat the whole purpose of the donation. They told me I have to pay for the trial class instead of being able to use this coupon.. something I’m sure they can work around. They just lost 2 potential customers that could have enjoyed the class and actually enrolled bc they are trying to milk you as much as possible of money. I will be emailing the person that donated this “raffle prize”, mentioning this to the event committee, writing reviews on every possible sites and telling every mothers I know that there are better options out there.. warning people of how low and sneaky this place had shown. It’s so crazy that they won’t honor the amount on the coupon considering this was for a Down syndrome fundraising event.Review update:Received a response from management of this place. I understand that people book parties and enroll children to this place but I’m still not understanding why the recipient of the raffle prize for a Down Syndrome fundraiser cannot use the $50 coupon as they wish. What if they don’t have the $240+ or $350+ to have parties here or enroll but would like their child to experience the place in the form of a trial class? Or they live too far but wouldn’t mind the one time experience to enrich their child’s artistic inclinations? You can say that you make donations to fundraisers all the time but if your conditions have so much limitations then your “best intentions” are lost in the process. I will not be endorsing or ever coming to this place.. and will make sure to continue to share my experience with this facility to other moms both in person and online forums I belong to. This is the kind of underhanded schemes I detest from “children facilities” with conditions in “fine prints”. It’s $50! Just let a family use their coupon.Also, I tried to use this coupon way before the one year time expiration.

I am impressed with not only the content of what my children are being taught here but also at the organization. We have been going here for just a couple of classes and I can say that my children are learning in a super nice environment. The Messy Artist staff really pays attention to every detail!

The place is ok but wouldn’t suggest for Birthdays ... not enough time at all and staff rushes so much to get out.Didn’t even sing proper Happy Birthday to my daughter. Need at least 120 mins then 90 minutes.. not happy at all very disappointed

My one comment is that unless you are from the immediate area or review their website, which may not happen if you are simply going for a one time event, you cannot simply google them and use gps it as it will take you to an unknown location in whippany, NJ... highly annoying.... i cannot review as it took way too long for us to get there, and staff members dont answer the phone during events.if the address that comes up on google isnt the actual location, why do they get their mail in a separate place and have that the address that comes up first on google? I dont think I cant provide a favorable review, the hour I spent there with my children left absolutely no impression, good or bad....
