Im a master barber in Montana down here for vacation and decided to go to the school for a haircut. Kyle did an amazing job. Still early in school but super thorough. The instructors were also very hands on. Great all the way around!
Great place to get a haircut. It takes a bit more time because they are learning but they are overseen by professional staff who always go over you before you are done. If youve got a bit more time, it is a great value.
The staff were great at teaching. Hands on approach and detail oriented with students and customers. Polite. Actually enjoy getting a haircut. Lol. Well whats left to cut.
Place is great!Kind and curtiousThe man Randy there is awesome
Awsome Aw was awsome....she took great care of me..nice personality and she groomed me well...she is da bomb
Willy did a awesome job
I am not sure about why any of those who left a negative review here but my first experience being here at Avaras Academy of Hair Design was awesome and very good with pricing. Paid only $8 for a very good haircut that would have costed me over double elsewhere at various other hair salons in the area. The staff was fun to talk with and the communication was good. I think i ran into the owner as i came in with my mother whom helped me get it. He seemed pretty nice and even noticed my eyebrows needed a trimming which even i did not notice before coming there and did not charge extra which was nice. Overall, i would definitely consider coming back here again and suggest to others who want a very good haircut at prices which will not hurt your wallet, to come down to Avaras Academy of Hair Design.
I am very happy with my haircut and my beard trim thank you that will be five stars
The first time I cut my hair here in early June the barber was called Rick. He cut my hair really well, and also trimmed and shaped my beard in a very good style. He works weekends as a waiter at Nacho Mamas in Canton, which is a really good place. I mean to give it a review but havent quite done it yet. Its a very good place for comfort food or just having a drink with friends.I was going to cut my hair again with him, but because of scheduling problems I wasnt able to come in when he was in. The second time I cut my hair here the last Saturday in July it was Amil who did both jobs. He gave me a different style haircut which I liked a lot, and also trimmed and shaped my beard in a different way which was also very good. He graduates now at the end of August and I hope he moves not too far away so I can follow him there cuz I really liked his style. Unfortunately that means that after my last haircut here at Avaras in late August with Amil they will lose me as a customer cuz Im going to go and continue getting my haircut and beard trimmed and shaped with him.I just found out from the owner Larry that most likely Amil will end up at a $40 minimum barber shop or salon. Right now I cannot afford that type of price so I will remain at Avaras, at least for the present moment.
Great work! Friendly and Professional!
Been going here since childhood
Cheep place for a regular haircut. I also bought a shirt from there.
Very good
I ve tried other places and was disappointed. Found the school gives excellent hair cuts at reasonable prices.
I only get my haircut hear. I live in Chesapeake Va about 10 miles north of North Carolina. I cant seem to find a better haircut.
My husband & son started coming here a few months ago & we love it definitely a great family oriented comfortable place also Im reading these reviews about Tina but shes so great shes helped my family alot since coming here the best people we will never go nowhere else thanks so much!!!
Great for the price! They are in training so its a win/win situation... and remember, it grows back. ;-) Been going for about 1.5 yrs. Nice people as well.
I absolutely LOVE this school. I have learned so much while attending, and taught so many different techniques when cutting hair, from Mr Larry, Mrs Tina, Mr Ashwin, Mrs Candace, and all the other instructors that have helped to shape my knowledge of hair cutting.I had the best experience there, and would recommend this school to anyone looking to take their life and career into their own hands, on their way to gaining true independence. Much love to you guys. Keep up the great work.
Always nice and professional
Love this place does anybody cut hair will pay
I went to school here and it was the absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had in a school setting. Completely unprofessional. The new owner(Larry) is allowing his significant other (Tina) to absolutely destroy a business that was once a fine establishment.Sincerely,Disappointed student
Definitely going back, The boys love it. Great job guys keep up the good work
I went with my husband but asked if they did designs. They did and I got a star shaved into the back of my head I love it!!
Tina is extremely rude and has no business being an instructor. While Larry is knowledgeable. He too is extremely rude, impatient, and tends to follow Tina’s trend of unprofessionalism towards students and clients alike, all while being in a “school” setting. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money there
Avaras academy is a large comfortable hair shop with all the tools & equipment to ensure u have everything to groom & style ur hair to ur satisfaction. Its a first class hair academy I would recommend to anyone who needs their hair style cut in comfortable environment.
Pleasant staff
They did a good job on my sons haircuts and for a great price.
Took an hour and 45 minutes for my daughter to get her haircut tonight..it wasnt anything extravagant that required that much time..hair cut looks fine for $12 but for $3 more I could have taken her somewhere else that would have done the same thing in 1/3 of the time
Cheap!!! Compare it anywhere else $25,40 Elsewhere. Here $8,15 😉😃
One of the best barber schools on the East Coast
THANKS FOR THE MESSAGE
My only choice for a haircut
Tina is so disrespectful. She is mean to clients as well as students. Please go else wher

Tina is rude and has an attitude
