When I first came to this school my first thought was this is such a good school! but when months and months passed it wasnt what i thought It was, first of all let me start with the bathrooms, every bathroom I went In is so gross i almost vomited, nobody flushes and they leave their mess there that no one will clean, second, their lunches they serve, its very small and its very gross, i had a hamburger and it was so disgusting, i have no words. Next the people here, a lot of the students are very disrespectful to the teacher and the students that are there (like me)they also get into a LOT of fights.I just think that the people here could do a MUCH better job taking care of the school and the students instead of ignoring it and getting the students suspended all the time. Coming from a student, I think you should take my advice.

Im a 7th grader and i give it 4/5 stars. Its pretty good. My 6th grade year was awesome! But they cut out most of the things I liked like the school store and the Halloween dance. I didnt go but I was looking forward to going this year. Also, I heard they cut out choir too. I wasnt in it, but I feel kind of bad about it. Over all its a great school. :D

Pulling our children out of Dearborn Public Schools because of the horrendous experience we have had at Smith. My husband & I both attended Smith back in the 90s & it has changed so much its unbelievable! Our child has been struggling throughout his time here and its no wonder why! The staff has little to no control over the student body. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING, unsanitary and unsupervised. The boys wad up dirty, wet paper towel And throw it all over the bathroom. My son was afraid to use the restroom during school for quite awhile. When we addressed the school about this issue they brushed it off and claimed that they dont have the resources to supervise the facilities and make a safe environment for our children. There are fights in the hallways, classrooms, lunchroom and bathrooms almost daily. Ever watch those jaw-dropping YouTube videos of kids disrespecting their teachers? This is an every day occurrence in this school. The staff has to spend so much time disciplining the students, its nearly impossible for learning to take place. There are so many distractions and problems in this zoo of a school, its a wonder that the kids learn anything at all. Keep in mind that all of the 5 star ratings come from students, not parents.. The opinions of the students are very different than those of adults. I feel sorry for the kids who are being robbed of a great junior high experience, who consider this an excellent school, with nothing to compare it to. VERY disappointed at what this school has become.

I love it there the fights can be a problem but if your not in then its ok. Kids may disrespectTeachers bit teachers handleIt and if your kid is scared to go to the bathroom thats not the schools problem I love the school teachers are great I have only encounters one bad teacher..

I love this school so much the teachers are super nice and respectful and you get a good education

This school is ok all it needs to do is get control of the respect other students give to Subs and work on Controlling Fighting. Kids will get in a fight and wont get Suspended, and the bathrooms are gross.

My cousins mom went here and my cousin is autistic so what happens is that my cousins mom could not believe her eyes. The principal was lazy, the bathrooms were, save me god, and when the autistic kids get detention they get a room the size of a closet, so while the kids who suffer nothing get a big room while the kids who do suffer autisum go in a closet sized room? From what I heard is that this is a really bad school.

My 3 years here have been amazing. hythem, its middle school. get used to it buddy.

The bathrooms in the school are disgusting they dont clean them good actually the dont clean them at all theres always paper towels on the floor there are always a fight in the hall and the teachers are very disrespectful .
