This center is very good about notifying parents of illnesses in the center without violating the HIPPA rights of the children. Staff cannot disclose medical information to other parents...even if it is just a rash. Once a center gets a confirmed case of an illness, then they have to let all the parents know.

I love this place and my kids do too! I did two pop up tours without calling first and the vibe was everything. I had toured three other daycares and I was not really feeling the love and the prices were a bit steep. At Discovery Point, they treat your children like family. With new management came an even better feel. Mrs. Felicia is amazing. She was my childs teacher when I first met her and she was so loving and stern at the same time and it was exactly what my child neded. Now shes the Director and it fits her very well. My other sons teacher Ms. Brittany is super sweet and he absolutely loves her. She always goes the extra mile. The whole staff just goes above and beyond and I can truly say I am happy our family chose this daycare. I have a lot of gifts to buy for Christmas!! My family appreciates you all.

I came to this daycare after I pulled my children out of Peachtree Academy (another nightmare) after only one month due to high turnover and my daughter catching a strep throat and viral infection the same week. I asked the owner Sherry about the centers policy on sick children during my tour because I dont believe in my children making other children sick and I expect the daycare center to enforce their sick policy to prevent my children from getting sick. Last week, after over a year of enrollment, my daughter complained of her foot itching a night. The next morning she had a blister in the corner of her mouth. Later that day, blisters on her palm and the bottom of her feet. I immediately knew it was Hand Foot Mouth Disease and took her to the doctor the next day to confirm; it was. My son showed no sign of the disease and I dropped him off that morning and notified the teachers there that I was taking her to get confirmation they immediately confirmed my suspicion by stating 2 other students had rashes.After returning to pick up my son I stopped to speak with the owner to inform her about the disease. She admitted to having knowledge of the other two kids with rashes and said, Well know that youve confirmed it I can post signs letting the other parents know and I hope your son doesnt get it. I was completely done.I also mentioned yo her that I personally witnessed just days prior to the outbreak that my daughter was yelled at by an assistant (the owners niece) who didnt see me standing near the door waiting to pick my daughter up. Ms. Sherry looked concerned not shocked.The only upside to this day care is that I loved my childrens teachers. Ms. T, Ms. Brittany (who left), Ms. Carla, and Ms. Dior at the front desk were the best. This center needs to be investigated because there are other allegations from reliable sources saying that they serve the children spoiled milk and add chocolate syrup to it, some teachers spank the children in the bathroom. All of the good teachers are leaving and because they have been disrespected by the owners husband, underpaid and overworked.Protect your children, go elsewhere.

I enjoy working at discovery point the staff is family to each other and to the kids they up and beyond to meet the kids need and have a well communication with the parents we love making the kids happy here at discovery point keep up the good work team
