The school experience at the Grove Community School is more than perfect always under the Montessori perspective which it is the essence! The school feels like your house, inside and outside, right in the middle of the forest. The staff is not only very professional but so kind and nice, you feel that you are leaving your kids in such a good hands. The academic part gives space for kids to develop under their own speed, assuring the minimums, but leaving space to grow if the kid shows potential and motivation. And the proof, my kid loves being at the school, no more to say, even during hard times they have managed making everyone to keep going promoting some sort of normality in a safe environment. I am really grateful to have found this school and I think that my kid would remind the experience of being part of this community during all his life.

The Grove is a community for our whole family. Our children are loved and secure, they thrive and learn so much including grace and courtesy and are confident with older and younger children. It was the best choice we could make for our family. There is feedback on schedules and activities from the headmaster and our children’s teacher every week and the opportunity for observation in the classroom- so much transparency and we know exactly what is going on and what to expect. We have been very fortunate to be a part of the Grove community since it was established in 2019 and highly recommend the school if you are looking for the best Montessori education in the Houston area. The teachers are kind and loving and provide a safe and warm environment for children to thrive. They understand that all children are unique and work tirelessly to ensure each child grows into their best self. Our little one loves to be in nature and the school is nestled on a beautiful property where education extends beyond the four walls of the classroom and into the outdoors. The Grove has created a school and a community of people that is truly remarkable.

Our family is so thankful to have this environment in our children’s forming. They benefit from a whole community of teachers, parents, peers in mixed aged classes. They see the importance of fostering and nurturing connection with others AND they see it modeled everywhere. Learning is truly hands on. They are problem solving, playing, and strengthening their social skills with gentle guidance from teachers and peers. Our children astound us daily with what they have learned.

The Grove is an outstanding school.When we moved from inside the loop In Houston to the suburbs in the summer of 2020 ( amidst the pandemic) I did a thorough search for an equivalent to the amazing daycare where our then infant at the time attended. The Grove was by far and large the best. Our son started there when he was 18 months old, and the school has been amazing for his development. That’s thanks to the experienced, loving and dedicated truly Montessori teachers. The facilities are lovely and I really appreciate the effort the staff puts into providing so much exposure to nature ( I love the chickens).The teachers in The Toddler room, and the director always go above and beyond to address any concerns big or small that we may have, and are very helpful in every way they can. Although at the beginning I was nervous about sending my young toddler to a school and not to a daycare ( you have to bring your diapers and food, and there are no cameras where you can monitor your child’s every move as I used to!) I have to say it is worth it and it has been a very valuable experience for the whole family. I feel more involved by packing his food and I have learned to give him more independence too.He has learned so much there, not only his numbers, colors, and a whole myriad of things he surprises me with everyday, but also the social, nurturing empathetic aspect that the Montessori philosophy emphasizes. Best School Experience! Our two boys ages 4 & 6 started at The Grove Community School in August, 2019. The teachers and the environment could not be more perfect for our kids! Chris Gillaspie the Head of the school has created a phenomenal learning and nurturing environment. We, as parents are so happy that we found this place. (In all honesty - we use the term Magical often to describe it - if we were kids again, this would be the school wed want to attend!). Our kids have been learning at a custom pace that challenges them. They also have Soccer Shots and Private Music lessons as part of their week. The founder of the school is a strong proponent of the Montessori system and a very passionate and highly experienced educator. Additionally, he is surrounded by like-minded staff who I believe are themselves equally passionate educators. I love the Grove and the teachers. They truly care about the children. I have not been able to find a school for my 2 year old daughter that I have felt comfortable with until now. They have a big focus on outdoor time which is great as well and the area is really nice and peaceful.

I just got my acceptance letter to A&M and it couldn’t have been done without the help and encouragement from these teachers. Mr. Chris is the most compassionate mentor and pushes his students to reach their absolute potential! I love these teachers and the amazing community they created!

The Grove is an amazing school created by people with a passion for teaching Montessori! It is located in a beautiful forest like setting which allows the students to experience nature up close. The Grove offers small classes which enables the pupils to explore and learn. I highly recommend The Grove for their wonderful Montessori expertise!

Marisol Camacho is an excellent teacher who brings her experience as a Montessori parent and a highly trained guide to this wonderful new Montessori school. Her love of children, her professionalism and her vivacious personality combine to provide an excellent learning environment for students 3-6 years old. Most of all, its her deep respect for how the Montessori method can impact the life of a child that propels her toward creating a prepared environment thats beautiful and engaging.

There are not enough wonderful words to say about the teachers, The Grove and Mr. Chris!! We have a 5 year old and a 2nd grader at The Grove. They absolutely love going to school and talk our ears off each day about what they did at school. Our boys are learning school lessons but also great life and nature lessons. I have personally worked side by side with each of the teachers here as well as the owner/head of the school. This is a school that is superior to the schools in the surrounding areas. The relationship based, Montessori approach to teaching is integrated in every moment of the child’s school day. Each activity, even including lunch and recess, are planned and serve a purpose in the child’s learning process. I can’t say enough good things about this school and the people who are there! I wish I went to a school like this growing up!
