Mitch was an excellent trainer! However, the tester and owner, Susan, was non-professional and hostile with communication during my daughter’s driving test. Taking the road exam is nerve racking for any person; probably one of the most stressful tests for a young person. My daughter suffers from anxiety which was explained to her during our phone conversations. During the exam she yelled at her creating additional stress. According to my daughter, she made several demeaning remarks about her trainer during the testing, making her feel uncomfortable and second guessing what she was taught. In general, no student will be the same or have the same circumstances, but all students regardless of their circumstances should be treated with respect. At the end of the exam, I was sitting in the parking lot and Susan did not even stop by to communicate with us. Unfortunately, due to severe tremors, as a result of Parkinson’s Disease, I have not been able to instruct my daughter for the past 4 years. I am stressing that all circumstances should be treated with respect. If during a test, a student is doing something dangerous, there’s a brake petal on the testers side and the right to stop the car. My recommendation is to call around for other companies before choosing an older one just because they have been in business a while. Pick a company where everyone employed has respect for others.

I had an absolutely amazing experience. This driver training school really is the best! They know how to make you feel comfortable and show you what it means to be a safe driver. They also go over anything that bothers you about your driving and help you improve. I’ve been learning to drive for a while and they made the process of taking my driver test straightforward and positive. I was able to get my license but this is a review about the way I felt throughout the entire session. I don’t write reviews often but this establishment is worth it! My teacher Cheryl was fantastic and I’ll never forget her kindness.

I would 100% recommend this program. My driving instructor was Ms. Lesia, and she made me feel comfortable because she was patient with me. I took my test and passed on the first try, and was able to get my license on the same day.

The class was very informative. At first I was like, 8hrs is a lot for a class but I went and saw why. I really learned a lot. Cheryl, my instructor was very nice. She gave me all the necessary tips I needed. She tried her best to keep me calm and comfortable on the road. Thanks Baldwin!

Where do I start ? Ms. Cheryl is the best driving teacher ever. She was very nice and taught me everything I needed to learn. She made me feel very comfortable behind the wheel. I can’t thank her enough because she has taught me how to be a defense drive and how to be safe. If I could give her 1 million stars on her rate I would. They are great! They will actually teach what you need to know and help you with areas that you may be weak on. The people there are very friendly and even demonstrate some procedures so you know what to do. Thanks to them I passed on my first try and got my license.

I learned a lot! And everything they teach is up to date on the driving laws in SC! Stuff I didnt even know and I have had my license since I was 15! Im 36yrs old currently! Good school! I recommend 100%

Both my boys took their drivers test through this company. They offered a discount for having a second child, which was unexpected but great! Susan did both my boys test. She made my boys feel as relaxed as possible, given the circumstances. After the test she also told us which DMVs were doing walk-ins so we could get their licenses that same day. I would definitely recommend Baldwin for drivers training or road tests. We will be taking our girls here when that time comes. Thank goodness, it is several years away. Keep up the great work!

The teaching was immaculate and Ms. Susan really helped me refine my driving skills. Youll learn a lot in the class and be very comfortable and relaxed when you go out driving. All of the office staff are very kind; so you are sending your child into good hands and a great environment.

My wife and I recently moved back to South Carolina and I was informed by the DMV that I would need to retake the Skills test. Unfortunately due to covid I was unable to get answers or even a test scheduled with the DMV. Finally I tried Bladwin and Susan walked me through exactly what I needed to do. She was kind truly cared about helping. With that being said, all of my children will be going to Bladwin and if possible learn from Susan. She was literally the only person who would help me, cannot say enough good things.

Even through Covid and the new sanitation requirements, Baldwin hit the nail on the head! Susan was my driving instructor and she was awesome! I felt safe through all of my lessons, as well as the full day class. I learned a lot, and their instructions were clear and concise. They called me before all of my lessons and I was even able to get in earlier than expected. Highly suggest!

I had a good experience with Baldwin, they were informative and patient. Incase you have any questions about anything whether it’s traffic laws, what will be on the test, etc. do not be afraid to ask. I had Ms. Susan, and she was very sweet as well as not awkward so you feel comfortable. She made sure I was prepared to pass.*make sure you are ready about 5 minutes before your driving time because you won’t get a call before they come.*

The classes were really helpful and I got my liscense the first time I took the test. TheTeachers are very helpful and kind, social, and very real. They dont sugarcoat it but, make sure that you understand it without making you want to run away. I love the program and would definitely reccomend to others!

The service offered was womderful wanted to book an appointment but they were filled a slot opened and I was called immediately. The instructor mitch was patient and explained everything to me so i could understand. I would recommend them to anyone. Trust me choose them you wont regret it.

My experience here was GREAT! I was soooo stressed about my test and super nervous but when I went and did my session and road test my nerves completely vanished. They made me feel so comfortable and confident and so I passed! I definitely recommend them!

Susan was wonderful for setting me up for a drivers test as a pandemic was surfacing and DMV was shutting down their road test services...even though DMV miscommunicated their requirements. Susan was very honest and helpful and and a great on the road instructor. I am very grateful!

My husband and I went to the Baldwin driving school for the point reduction class (assuming we needed the class due to our knowledge of the point system). The class started at 8am for 3 hours of the class we watched videos of gruesome drunk drivers, accidents, car wrecks, dead bodies and accident scenes. Upon finishing those videos we finally begin to dive into the point system and our reason for being there. Upon FINALLY being educated on the point system we realized we did not need the class, once realizing that I ask to speak to someone for at least HALF of a refund. The manager refused saying it was our responsibility to know how the point system work even though the instructor stated that many drivers are very confused and misguided on said system. Wouldn’t a small synopsis of the point system be given in the beginning of the class or before accepting funds from an individual on an already admittedly confusing system? The manager then cut me off as I tried to reason with her and give her a suggestion that maybe the point system should be briefly touched on in the beginning of the class versus videos of corpse and drunken drivers shown first. She told me the conversation was over and it was our decision to leave, upon her walking away she begin to ask if I was going to leave or stay and I motioned for my husband and at this point she started to get loud & belligerent stating that I’m disrupting class& that I’ve been out of class for 20 mins even though she had just come from out her office to speak to me and it hadn’t been more than 5 minute conversation, I was not loud or disrespectful I honestly just wanted to prove a point as well as receive some of our money back since we DROVE from Florence & the inconsiderate customer service in this company to WAIT UNTIL 3 hours to explain this “confusing point system” as stated by the instructor. She was disrespectful, stated that since we’ve been in the class for three hours ( BECAUSE THEY WAITED TO GIVE INFORMATION THAT SHOULDVE BEEN GIVEN IN THE BEGINNING OF THE CLASS INSTEAD OF WATCHING THREE HOURS OF VIDEOS WITH GRUESOME VIDEOS AND PHOTOS). I wasn’t going to write a review had she just apologized, however she decided to get loud at the end of the conversation even though I was respectful and trying to talk to my husband as we decide if we would stay or go. Very unprofessional manager and the business is in a home of a basement, little space with a good amount of people in the class as well as roaches coming from the vent. On top of that you get 30 minutes broken into 10 minute increments to and this includes 10 minutes for a lunch with no possibility of going out of class to get food unless you bring your lunch or pay 1 for a slice of pizza. Please educate yourself on the point system as they will not until 3 hours into the class- and then put the responsibility on you and say that since you have the booklet you definitely can’t get a refund or an apology.

Miss Cheryl is awesome! She understands im not from here and I have a lot of questions but she always make things clear and easy for me to understand. I was nervous and it was a relief that my instructor was really calm and communicates effectively. I’m so thankful she was my instructor! Thank you Miss Cheryl and Baldwin Driving!

Updated review! I GOT MY LICENSE TODAY!!!!!!!!! After having some severe driving fear, I was terrified, but my teacher at Baldwin made me feel confident and capable while still being stern and informative. Shes encouraging and with her I went from terrified every time I get behind the wheel to no longer afraid but still respectful of the level of responsibility that driving is. I am so happy that Ive had the opportunity to go to Baldwin and I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

My driving instructor Mrs. Leisa was amazing. She’s very nice and patient and I can’t wait to finish my classes. However, one of the receptionist ladies is very rude. I talked to her on the phone on two separate occasions and she was very sarcastic and obnoxious during both encounters.

Do not go here. They only put on a show to get you in. Very rude. The manager herself hung up in my face twice. Very unprofessional. They also do not tell you they do not do refunds. If life happens and anything comes up they keep your money. No reschedule. No class entry. I would not recommend. I did not cancel after my appointment, something came up and I was late to my appointment. About 20 minutes. I was told on the phone they were still setting up the class but yet I was unable to attend a class I paid $80 for. I then got upset when she refused to refund my money, then I began cursing and yelling. Regardless, it is unprofessional to hang up in someone’s face after you took their money.

They are awesome I recommend them, I just got finish with my 8hrs in class it was long but it was worth it I learned a lot. I can’t wait tell my first lesson with Mitch.

Great facility. Got my lisense fast and easy. The instructors were nice and friendly, and my driver trainer, was funny, nice and helpful as well as professional. The 8 hour course, though, was a drag and somewhat repetitive. I would definitly recommened this to any of my friends.
