My son has been attending RMMA for 3 months now, and he loves the school. He loves his teachers Ms. Denise and Ms. Lynn. When we sit down for dinner he loves to talk about his teachers and his friends. All the staff at this school are focused on their students and their well being. I am so happy that we found this amazing school and that my son is so happy there.

We toured the school and totally fell in love with Ms Jade and Ms Nancy. We loved how cozy and loving the school is. It is a rare gem to find a school still willing to take the trouble of making real lunches from scratch. We didnt end up staying in Colorado Springs and so are missing out. This is truly a little haven for children youll be glad to be a part of.

We are so thankful for this school. Our daughter loves the science lessons and cant wait to tell me what she learned. I love that they also teach life skills. I walked in to see my daughter scraping her food and wash her dishes from lunch. Love this so much! Thank you teachers!!

I have never felt more at home than I was at this school. This school, the teachers, especially Ms. Nancy and Ms. Jade, have prepared me more then I could ever imagine. Going there, at first I thought maybe it wasnt good, but I now realize, having been there for 10 years, this is the best possible school. I miss all of you at RMMA sooo much. ALL of you. 😊 You all made me a better person, a better student. I will never forget what I learned, who taught me (MS. NANCY!! MS. JADE!!!), and the poeple I met along the way. Oh, and a note to Mr. Chris: NO ONE CAN BEAT YOUR COOKING. Keep making those awesome burritos, and spaghetti, and chili, and taco salad, and roll-ups, and mac n cheese, and...you get the idea. I love you all. Please remember that.A once-student, Meia.

Our son has been attending Rocky Mountain Montessori Academy since October 2019. We absolutely love this school and the teachers. The teachers are wonderful with the children and always keeps us update with his progress. We love knowing that our son is learning each and everyday. We definitely recommend this school to parents who do not want to go the traditional public school route.

My daughter has been going to Rocky Mountain Montessori for 7-8 months now and it has been a wonderful experience. We unsuccessfully tried several other daycare centers in town and were consistently met with unprepared and staff. Nancy, Crystal, and the other teachers are both warm and professional. I couldnt believe some of the things they were able to get my daughter to achieve independently. She has simply excelled since beginning her time out there and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I am astounded that the state has not shut this place down. This is the worst facility I have ever encountered in childcare. Truly, it is about the money here. Feel free to look at my yelp review. Basically, my kids were not being fed properly. Teachers were instructed to feed the children very small amount of food, to save on spending. one teacher said she would sneak food to the kids. I would have gladly brought food for my children. It was my 1st time putting my kids in childcare and I was told they just were not use to not snaking all day. My child also has a scar on his hand from when he went there 4 years ago. I still do not know what really happened, but was told he fell outside. On the top part of his had. Strange. I was told by 2 different teachers at the time of my kids attendance about Nancy’s character. She gives off a bad vibe, but I loved the teachers. They did not want to be apart of this place & im glad I got my kids out before something worse happened.

I dont understand the bad reviews, especially the one who based the school off of their website. How can you judge a place if you have never been there? The website isnt the best because the staff is more interested in interacting and educating the children than updating the website. My daughter is doing amazing here. She is excited to go to school and she comes home talking about all the things she has done. The staff treats us like family. The owner/director has always been friendly and flexible with us. She has even gone out of her way to help us. She has made me feel very comfortable leaving my daughter in her care. I just dont see where the bad reviews are coming from.I have two brothers who went here as children, and now my daughter is in the school. I would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Montessori to anyone looking for a true Montessori program.

Rocky Mountain Montessori is amazing! My 4 year old has learned so much since he has been attending (March 2016) and loves all the teachers. They serve home cooked healthy meals, promote active fun learning and each child is given individual attention. We made a great choice in sending our child to Rocky Mountain Montessori Academy. Giving a shout out to Ms. Nancy, Marsha and Jennifer, they are wonderful!

I really love this school.I am a Montessori professional for the past 39 years.I operated my Montessori school here in Colorado Springs for over 23 years. Rocky Mountain Montessori is one of the best run Montessori schools in town. The school is well equipped and The owner Director who also works with the elementary age children does a tremendous job. All staff members are very loving, caring and have many years of Montessori experience. Children are provided nutritious meals, prepared from scratch. The Owner Director makes sure she gives a personal touch .Never seen a school prepare veggie, fruit, cheese and cracker platters for all the children served family style. This is not the place for lazy teachers fudging around. and just doing it for a paycheck.Children are precious and require teachers who are dedicated and truly have love kindness.patience.and compassion .As a Montessori professional I highly recommend this school to all parents who are concerned about a really great academic program and also the safety of their children.Good luck and keep up the great work!!You are the very best in town.!!!!

This Montessori school has been great for our family. Weve been here for over 3 years and have been happy about every aspect of the program. The administrators and teachers treat us like family. When my child expresses he misses going to school on the weekends, I know he loves his school too!

I understand everyone has a right to their opinion. I observed the reviewer on her last day of attendance who claims Miss Nancy doesnt care about the children and was rude to her. I had the unfortunate experience of seeing/hearing the reviewer slam doors and yell about her unhappiness with this school when I was bringing my child into the school. Miss Nancy tried to talk with her about her concerns, but the reviewer just continued to yell. She finally left the building after telling Miss Nancy she was going to take her child out of the school. Later that morning the parent returned with her mother who continued yelling at Miss Nancy. Thankfully, the family finally left the building. My child receives great care and the entire school, including the kitchen, is always clean. Healthy and plentiful food is provided throughout the day. Ive visited during lunch and the children have plenty of time to eat as much as they choose. Ive seen leftovers every time Ive visited. Children get sick, thats a fact of life. The school sends home sick children. Children are exposed to germs everywhere, not just at childcare. Our family has always been treated respectfully by Miss Nancy and all the teachers. We wouldnt continue at this school if it wasnt the best environment for children and their families. We strongly recommend this school and childcare to anyone who desires a quality education and caring environment for their children and family.

I really dont know what to think about this place. We left because we felt their approach didnt work for our son or us. We initially saw some improvements in our sons behavior, and his preprimary teacher had a good amount of patience with him. However, he had potty training regression and was moved back into a class where I felt there was less tolerance for normal kid behavior. It got to the point where they wanted us to have our 3 yo evaluated for disabilities, but after having two therapists assess his behavior as appropriate for his age and hint that maybe they could pay less attention to bad behavior and more attention to good behavior, they never wanted to come back to the table and talk. This felt like they werent as much of the solution as I wouldve liked. Like other places weve been to, they get pidgeon holed into a one approach fits all mentality. When we met and asked for more information about why our kid might be acting a certain way, we were told they cantdiagnose anything, which is not what we were asking for. It felt like they were hinting very strongly there was a diagnosis and were unwilling to apply creative problem solving. This was different in his first class- that teacher did try different approaches with him. However, we were also told by two teachers that theyve never had a kid like ours and the director stated our kid was just defiant. I cant imagine what would make anyone think its appropriate to talk to parents like that. Certainly its possible to have honest conversations without being so insulting and obsolete. From everything I can tell from other parents and therapists, our kid might be a little stubborn, but he seems to be doing all the little threenager things other kids do. I wonder if they just werent used to kids who werent used to their system. Several times, my son didnt get on board with their lunch program- which is basically 6 steps (for kids who are 3 and under) before they can eat, and they assumed this was because he was picky or not hungry to the point he went several days without eating in a week. They were unwilling to consider he might need more familiarity with their system, which is unacceptable on so many levels. They said its natural consequences and hell get on board when hes hungry, whereas, to me, it felt like he was avoiding a stressful situation he didnt understand when it happened with so much regularity. On the other hand, I saw some very well behaved kids, and I believe this approach likely works very well for some families. I just thought Montessori was designed for the difficult kids, so I dont understand why every little thing with my kid was a report and conversation. It feels like Montessori that is tailored to the needs of the adults vs the needs of the kids imo.

When my daughter first started here I thought it was going to be great . I found that there was 2 good people there one being Danielle who is in toddler 1 and 3 and Crystal who has left the school recently. However Nancy the “director” is RUDE, NOT COMPASSIONATE, DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD AND IS UNSTABLE. No one likes her and if I could go back I wish I would have never enrolled my daughter to this school with a person so heartless as Nancy. She should not be around any children. My daughter has never been so sick and hungry since being at this school. I’ve read other parents reviews and it looks like they too had issues with their child being starving after school. It’s a dirty place and I don’t think their kitchen they “cook” in is up to state standards. The lady who made her comment doesn’t even know what happened with that situation so probably should keep your mouth shut “ Jenna” Also we are very happy we are gone too because my daughter was scared, hungry and hated that school the entire time. But clearly Jenna you don’t have problems with those issues. And you enjoy having your kid act like they are in a prison.

First of all, the one review on Yelp is a disgrace to this school. The school is fantastic and a true Montessori experience for your child. The teachers and director are wonderful and always willing to talk to you about how your child is doing. Every time I pick up my son hes happy! Hes done really well here and I cant say enough how wonderful this school is! I literally make a twenty minute drive there and a twenty minute drive back even though there are other options closer to my house because it is so great. Highly recommend checking it out!

This is a wonderful place with an excellent Montessori program for big land small children. The building is dated but very comfortable inside for the children. Our child used to struggle with separation anxiety but the staff handled it very well. Leaving your crying child is hard and it is important that they are left with caring, warm and nurturing people. The student to teacher ratio is excellent. The classrooms are quiet and organized and the children respectful and seem to enjoy their work. This place is an oasis compared to the every day chaos in a public school setting.

My son went here 3 days a week for one year at age 4. It was the first daycare he looked forward to. He is now in public elementary in D20 and has been well above benchmark from the start. I believe it has a lot to do with the education he received at RMMA last year. In kindergarten they want kids to know things like 9 out of 52 letters, sight words, and basic numbers. My son almost maxed out all of the evaluations from the start having scores like 51 out of 52 in most categories, well above benchmark. He is already past the kindergarten goals for the year and doing first grade work! My daughter in 3rd grade has struggled since Kindergarten and I with I had a program as good as this one for her at that age! Thank you RMMA! Im grateful my child entered public school extremely prepared mentally and emotionally! Highly recommend!

I had the worst experience a parent could possibly imagine with Rocky Mountain Montessori Academy; they withheld my son from me per his fathers instruction despite our current court enforced parenting plan. My son was enrolled without my knowledge, and when I finally found out where he was and went to pick him up, I learned that I was on the do-not-pick-up list and they refused to give me a reason why they were just going by Dads word instead of the court ordered parenting plan!?!?! The school had a copy of the order and yet refused to go by it, let me in the school, or even talk to me civilly about the situation. They lied to the police saying I did not show up for a scheduled tour; I had made 3 attempts to schedule a tour over 3 days with no returned phone calls. They accused me of being aggressive and harassing them when I was trying to explain the court orders to them, and get my son from their location when they displayed absolutely hostile behavior towards me. This was the most tragic experience I could ever imagine with a daycare; this school participated in the fathers manipulative control of my son against my rights as a mother. Dad succeeded in using our son as a tool in his emotional abuse but to have a private school aid him in his contempt of court is by far the last action I would ever imagine a daycare taking. Over the few days that this happened they refused to tell me if my son was there or not, completely ignored my attempts to set matters straight, and numerous times hung up on me.I have never witnessed or imagined such unprofessional and hostile behavior from any school or daycare of any sort.

They do not give any concern about the children just their money, as our kiddo came back with pink eye more than once, as well as diaper rash. He also declined in potty training and in learning such as his ABCs and numbers. This Montessori is unprofessional and disrespectful. They claimed to give us an invoice for months, when I have not received a single one. When I requested an invoice by verbal request, they were unable to produce it, but could recite a total from memory. After any amount of issue with the teachers here they forcibly dis-enrolled your child and proceeded to call the police to force you off the property rather than simply printing an invoice and having a discussion as adults.
