My (3yo) daughter has been thriving at Valley Christian Academy! The teachers and staff are dedicated to providing a Christ centered education through fun and meaningful classroom experiences. At VCA the children are assessed on their large and fine motor skills as well as other cognitive development, VCA offers a reading academy and they hold an annual school play that is absolutely adorable!!

My daughter is currently attending kindergarten at VCA. Whatever youre looking for in a good elementary school, this school has it. Academics are solid, I am amazed at how well her reading has improved and more importantly she is excited to show off her new literacy skills. The school focuses on a childs individual needs and level and has a great teacher to student ratio so each child has an opportunity to learn to the best of his or her ability. The school offers sports opportunities, before and after school care, basically everything youd want in a school. But more importantly to our family is that our daughter loves it.Have a positive school experience early on can set the stage for a childs entire education. It was more important to us because our daughter is on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum and we know how frustrating traditional school environments can be for students like her. She is excited to go to school every morning. She loves her friends and her teachers. And the great thing for me as a parent, I know the teachers love her back and really care about her, Im sending her to a school that celebrates her for who she is. Theyve worked hard with her to help her develop the social skills she needs to get a solid footing in school. If youre considering a private, Christian, education for your child, if you want a strong academic focus in a caring environment, I would highly recommend Valley Christian.

My daughter Lucy started at Rainbow of Friends in 2007. When she started Renee was teaching the school out of a small trailer on the side of the church. From the first moment I met Renee I knew that this was the school for my child. When I had my second child there was never a doubt in my mind on where he would go to preschool. I have watched Renee and her amazing staff grow and exceed over the last few years and am proud to say that my children and I were a part of that! I am so thankful for the school, Renee and everyone else involved...because my kiddos would not be where they are today without them!!

My children attended preschool here, and it was their first experience away from Mom. Staff made my kids feel so loved, which is worth more than anything to me. I love that the kids learn about love, and God, as well as work on academics. Price point is great too!

My son has been attending Rainbow of Friends for 2 months and he loves it! Everyone is so sweet and loving. He participates in the reading program. He is only three and wasnt reading at all when he started, he can now read words and knows most letter sounds in such a short time.. He loves reading and learning. Im blown away he is only three and can already read words and sound things out on his own. Couldnt be happier with our choice to send him here!

Ive had my two daughters go here. My oldest went when she was 5. We didnt have any issues with her there for the 4 months she was there. My 2 yr old went the next year and thats when my experience went from pleasant to uncomfortable. This was all over the course of 7 months. They became very money hungry. They would push for you to volunteer even if you were unsure if youd be able too, they never addressed my concerns and always pushed for their own agenda, and recently I was concerned for my daughters safety and well being at the school and they couldnt reassure me that their polices would ensure anything. That is where I draw the line. My daughter who I was trying to get a positive first experience at school, is now associating school with fear and pain. They even lost her at one point. I was expecting a lot more from a Christian school and was majorly let down. I wouldnt advice anyone to go here, very disappointing to say the least.

We have a whole story.....we started with VCA at the Restoration campus in Fountain last school year and immediately LOVED it. Our kid had some separation anxiety and this was definitely a match for him. They did a fantastic job of being intuitive to when our son should be placed in a new classroom to challenge him and really help him move forward. Fast forward some time and we moved out of that area, and subsequently finished out the school year and sadly said our goodbyes. Then it was time for pre-school. We went to an orientation for what was in our school district and left that evening feeling very disappointed in what we were told our child would be getting after experiencing the education at VCA (our kid knew his planets before he was 4, it was impressive!!).It just didn’t sit right with us, so days after we decided it was worth the drive and returned to VCA at Friendship. Our 4 year old has been in the reading program (SO worth it!) and can sound out words, is writing better, and is so eager to learn. He is excited about going to school, loves his teachers and absolutely adores the director Ms Renee. We are so very thankful for VCA and the care and education our son gets!

My daughter had a great experience here! Renee and all the teachers are great with the kids. My daughter is in first grade and still talks about going back to preschool to see Ms Renee and Ms Joanna and Ms Robin. I love how they offer the reading classes. So happy for Renee and all the teachers and staff at Rainbow of Friends for how much the school has grown. We will be moving soon so my other two wont be able to attend the school but I really wish I could send them there.

They lost my children and let two young girls leave the school with a different family and wander outside. When someone found them outside, they did not share that with the people inside or make any effort to reunify the family. They sent me room to room inside the school to try to find with little to no assistance. Safety is a serious concern at this school.

A Rainbow of Friends Preschool and Kindergarten is a wonderful, nurturing school. My daughter has attended this school for three years now. Ive had friends who are not even connected to the school comment on how advanced my daughter is with writing, reading, and her interaction skills. The school uses a direct teaching style that captures the attention of young students, and keeps them engaged in the learning process. The first few years are extremely crucial for children. If they do not have a solid foundation in preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade, the tendency to fall behind carries on through later years. I feel my daughter has a great start thanks to Renee and her staff at A Rainbow of Friends, and I have every confidence shell excel in the years to come.As for Renee, she is a very competent and professional teacher and director. If you can fault her in anything, its that she cares too much. She takes her job very seriously and cares deeply about the success and well being of not only her students, but her staff and parents as well. She has parent meetings and invites parents to attend several functions throughout the year. She has her teachers provide extensive feedback on each child during parent/teacher conferences. In fact, I was shocked at the amount of topics/learning points that each teacher was able to speak to regarding my daughters progress. I remember thinking, its amazing they have this much detail, and its only preschool. I was very impressed and was able to use the information provided to help my daughter with areas of opportunity at home. Renee lays out all her policies in the paperwork provided to the parents, and shes very helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have. And last, let me give you a critique that matters even more than mine... my daughters opinion. I ask her every day hows school going? She always says that its great. Shes enthusiastic about learning. She actually has gotten to a point where she wants to do her homework, which is amazing for any 5 year old. And I see her improvement and her pride in herself when she does a good job. Her confidence level has dramatically increased over the past few years. I am so proud of her and am so thrilled that she likes school and wants to learn. And she adores her teachers. She talks about Miss Renee and Miss Lisa all the time, and speaks very highly of them. At this age, learning the letters, reading, basic math skills, etc. are all extremely important, However, nurturing good behaviors, keeping a childs confidence high, and teaching them interpersonal skills are very important too. My daughter flourishes at A Rainbow of Friends, not only in academics, but in life skills and handling emotions, relationships, and learning about the world around her. My daughter is happy, shes learning to read extremely quickly, shes enthusiastic about it, shes learning how to interact with other kids and adults...what better way to know a school is excellent than the product itself? Id say my daughter is a very satisfied customer. :-)I write all of this from the heart. And I stand behind what I say about the school and about Renee, and I have proof to back it up - my daughters level of learning and her enthusiasm say it all. I highly recommend A Rainbow of Friends to any parent out there with young children.Jennifer Fernandez

My girls attended AROF for 2 years prior to attending VCS. The pre-school teachers are wonderful at prepared my girls for kindergarten. The kindergarten teachers have worked one-on-one with my girls. The reading program has also been a great program. My girls read fluently for a 6 year old, WOW. My girls are twins. We needed some speech therapy. They were doing it at home, but it was time to go to preschool. My at home therapist requested they use the therapist at the school. So, they are continually in speech class once a week. They have addressed every problem Ive had and have fixed it. All around I give Rene, and Every teacher and assistant at AROF and VCS a big THANK YOU. You all rock.
