We played a football game here at the schools field. Great field and easy to find. There are portable restrooms. There are metal bleachers and there in NO shade.

Ive been at Atlas High School for three years now, and its a great school. Anytime my teachers see me struggling, they take the time to help one-on-one . Teachers go out there way to develop a special bond with you. I have great bonds with my teachers that dont even teach me. Everyone is so kind. We are one big happy family. The teachers are very supportive and respectful.

Atlas High School is a community that is focused on the future of the students they serve. This includes students going to college AND preparing for the workforce. Personally, Atlas has changed my perspective on school. In the past, I did not care about my academics, but now, thanks to great teachers and a great environment, I feel fully prepared for the next step in my life.

My son who has been to many high achieving schools and fallen through the cracks. At Atlas he has excelled and show pride in what he does. he is also held accountable for his grades and his work, this has made him look at what he is doing and how he can achieve his goals

One of the worst schools to send your kids. My son was assaulted by another student and he did not retaliate. Was told by the principal Mrs. Divirees it was my sons fault and Nothing was done about it. Things only got worst for him after that because other kids were embolden by the schools inaction. We have since removed him. Good teachers in my opinion are few and far between. Just take a tour of the middle school and its obvious they are just limping that place along. The staff seemed more concerned with pushing a liberal agenda then educating my kid. Your kid would be better off in public school.

Love this school. My sons advisor took the time to get to know him and help him adjust to a new school. I like that I had instant contact with his advisor if I had any questions or concerns. Ms. Amedei was amazing. I do wish that the advisor followed them thru middles school and not just the school year.

The absolute LEAST diverse school that I am aware of; I have a 21-year old and 19-year old who both graduated from District 2 and I from District 11 but this is definitely a culture shock!!!!!!

The faculty at Atlas are willing to work with your scholar to ensure that their needs are met. I gladly pulled both of my sons out of public school to enroll them at Atlas.

Horrible, I went there 2 years ago in 7th grade and was constantly bullied by almost every student in my class. Only two teachers there really made me feel as if they cared about my education, Mr. Ramsey and Mr. Scott. Ramsey cared about learning but still wasnt an amazing teacher. Mr. Scott on the other hand always had a good mood and despite the class being in dissaray sometimes, he always had the ability to help students and make them enjoy learning math. For all the bad things about this school however, I only give it one star. Bullying as I mentioned before is a HUGE problem for anyone that even slightly has views that align with anything other than the far left. The school provided lunch is absolutely awful for the price of about $4, although it seems everyone else got it free as the cut off for family income is just too low for my family to have made at the time. The school is so small it makes me clostraphobic, and it is not very well maintained. The field is in pretty bad condition, and even though there is a police station right next door I cant help but feel unsafe from anything short of a school shooter. The uniform policy I feel is a bit strict, although not terrible, but the problem I have is that with the school being so small, they dont have space for a locker room, nor do they have athletic clothing, so 4 out of 5 days of the week you go to phys ed wearing a polo, khakis, and a belt; which is not at all comfortable. A LARGE majority(id say 90%) of the school has a mexican population, which in itself is not a bad thing, but because of my political beliefs was bullied, most mexican families being on the left. But just not very diverse, I didnt really fit in, which I know in this day in age is a very important thing in the average prepubescent teens life. 3/4ths of the kids spoke spanish when not in class so I didnt understand people well. And Finally, although it was challenging at points, I feel that the course work was pretty easy(with, and im not trying to be racist, a lot of the kids having lower iq scores) and dont let them fool you with their state test stats, they dont reflect the education of the students well, pretty much 65% of my homeroom class were C average students.

WOW, the lack of real concern and the fact they have no real structure that a parent can find a resolution to a problem is amazingly frustrating. I went because of a bulling issue with my son, another child actually threatened to cut my son, not only did they blow off my concern for the issue, they then decided that instead of dealing with the issue they would threaten me with arrest for trespassing if I was to come to their office. Oddly enough, this was all on the phone and at no time did I use vulgar words or threaten anyone with anything. So, in order to silence the issue they threaten to have parents arrested. Please if you like your child and you also would like to retain some kind of hope in the public school system, then I urge you not to send your child to this sorry excuse for a school. Sadly this is not the first incident, this just seemed like something other parents should know about.
