We are so glad we found Harris Holt! We’d been looking for someplace for martial arts training for our children for some time. We’ve tried a few other places but it just didn’t feel right. Then Harris Holt was recommended by a friend and we have yet to be disappointed. Our children look forward to their class, they have more self confidence, they are learning about discipline and structure. The staff truly has an investment in each child to teach them to grow in self and ability.

My son had a free introduction and he loved it so much we signed up before we left! They are very good with kids and very helpful and flexible with classes and payments! He got a belt and uniform on his 1st day and he is so proud of it!

Literally the best experience and most dedicated teachers. I have 3 kids here ages 3-17 and I highly recommend! They dont just fluff it they TEACH! If its not done right they correct you and are super encouraging! My oldest does MMA and the program is great. Im a very honest reviewer and we LOVE this school!!!

My daughter has been going here for 2 weeks now and she loves it. The instructors are professional and teach very well so that kids of all ages understand. They make learning karate fun for kids, but most importantly teaching them discipline. Highly encouraged others to join.

Absolutely love this place. All of the instructors are great and the classes are ran really well. My daughter started here a little over 3 months ago at age 4 now 5. The classes help her learn to follow directions, discipline, listening and following directions, while still learning and having fun. I’m so glad we got her enrolled at Harris Holt. She is excited to show up to classes every week and learn something new. No class is ever the same.

I have a 6 year old with limited comprehension skills and the instructor was very patient and very understanding. He worked with Aiden and built his confidence on the first day by aiding him in breaking a board of wood. I strongly recommend this institution especially to dual working families.

Phenomenal gym with great staff. A very welcoming atmosphere that allows individuals to learn and progress in their martial art of choice.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the little ones in their first classes. At first reluctant, the adults and other kids made them feel welcome and included so they relaxed and had a lot of fun. They want to come back. They will.

My daughter is currently taking the karate class and the jiu jitsu class and is enjoying herself. Even though its only been about a month she enjoys going to her classes.

My 6 year old son has been attending Harris Holt martial arts for around 2 months now and I love the changes I have seen in him. They have not only taught him karate, but they are teaching him listening skills and discipline as well. One of the best days was when I was watching him practice his kata while at baseball practice (he loves it that much!). They have a great student/instructor ratio and that helps them truly pay attention to all the students, leaving no one behind. Definitely recommend 😊

After being in martial arts for over 20 years, weve been picky about getting our 6 year old son signed up at just the right place. We found it!

I am absolutely amazed at how well they did with my 3 (4 in a couple weeks) year old son!!! I was so proud watching him during his free trail and didn’t hesitate to pay for the full 6 months up front! Excited to see how well he progresses with an amazing sensei

Overall I really like this place but there are definitely pros and cons. This is from the perspective of a parent. My child is currently a student here.Pros: Everyone is really nice. The teachers are GREAT with the kids. They change things up for the kids. Lots of different times available so it is easy to work with your schedule.But here are the cons:Clear favoritism between the teachers and certain students. My son has been coming here for over a year... and they still dont know his name/ incorporate his name into class. There are 2, maybe 3 kids that the teachers will call by name and use for examples, etc. The favoritism hurts childrens feelings.Sometimes the previous class will run long...and then yours will run short. My son has sometimes had a 20 minute class instead of 30.Terrible terrible parking situation.Overall: 3/5. Really good place. My son loves it. I just have some issues as the parent.

As soon as I got there my first night, everyone was very friendly, inviting and accepting. Everyone is willing to help everyone learn, no one thinks they’re better than anyone. They’re all there to help each other be better! Some great fighters and champions there too!

Great place to take the kids.

Amazing group of senseis and the class was fun for my kids however my family is military and had to move a few months into the contract, i.e. 3 months and 400 miles ago and I am STILL fighting to get the contract ended even though they said we could end it easily as we were military.

My grandson just started and I think it will be the perfect place for him.

Since my first kickboxing class in July 2020 to now, I have felt welcomed and invested in as a person and as a fighter.

Love this school! They are definitely the best in town. I visited all the other places in the area and there’s no where else I’d want to have my kids and I learning. The instructors are patient and welcoming. Really easy to talk too and connect with. Harris Holt does a great job teaching the kids martial arts but they also teach the kids character development. Since they have started my kids have improved in listening and self confidence. They are even cleaning their room without being told! I can’t say enough good things about Harris Holt.

Great place for young kids to train in martial arts. They are teaching the kids correct technique, discipline, humility and how/when to appropriately use the techniques. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Our family loves Harris Holt Martial Arts!They have 2 start of the art facilities. Both buildings are always clean and all the staff is very helpful. They always have plenty of instructors on the floor to help with classes and make sure it’s the highest quality instruction taught. My wife and I did some research and checked out other schools and watched classes at all of them. Harris Holt was by far the best school. We watched classes at other schools with just 1-2 instructors teaching 15-20 kids. When we watched classes at Harris Holt there were 4-5 instructors going around helping teach and make sure students were listening and doing proper technique. Their professionalism and knowledge is superior to any other place in town. Highly recommended Harris Holt.

For those that are unsure about where to take your kids for martial arts. I searched for weeks, went by schools, called schools and talked to many different schools in the area. Harris Holt is amazing. They took the time to answer every question I had and have so much patience with the students. Even though i have to drive a bit to get there, it is well worth it. The kids love it and have shown so much progress in the last 6 months. Thank you Harris Holt.

I have two kids enrolled here and I wont hesitate to say that I have seen so many changes in both of them. They are both more active now and I seem them practicing their forms together rather than playing video games (exercise over video games is any parents dream).The instructors pay attention to each child and correct their form instead of just letting things go. My kids are 12 and 8 and the level of difficulty is definitely scaled to each age group in different classes.Harris Holt not only teaches karate, they teach discipline, respect and most of all that karate is for defense and not hurting others.I love seeing the kids progress through the belt level and the excitement and sense of accomplishment that you can feel from it. I might even start taking classes myself.Come visit. Let your kids watch a class and experience the fun the other kids are having. They even get to break a board in half!

I started with very little experience, so i was a little nervous, but after meeting everyone i felt really comfortable. I am military so trying to find a school that had a flexible schedule and program was hard, but Harris Holt is great. This is the first activity we have enrolled our daughter in and she has shown so much interest in between the classes. I feel she is going to achieve so much with this amazing academy! I am beyond grateful for the Senseis and how they instruct the younger (and all) classes.

I would give Harris Holt more than 5 stars if I could! All the staff there is professional and nice. But what I like most is they make you feel part of a family and part of something more than just another extracurricular activity. They have done wonders for my child who has ADHD. He is off his medicine now, listening and following directions and his grades have improved in school! This has been a life changing experience for him and our entire family. Great program! We have been attending here for a couple of years now. Organized and the focus for the kids is discipline and self control. A lot of different options available for all age groups.

Harris Holt has been an awesome place for our kids to learn Karate. The instructors are all wonderful and really take their time to help the students understand. Most important the kids are having fun while learning. This is truly the best Martial Arts school in town and would recommend it to anyone.

We are still being changed for after school payment but schools in Tennessee have been canceled for over an month. How do Harris Holt expect families to pay for an service we are not using and could use the money to pay for bills and provide for our families. When I tried to cancel or even ask for the payments to be postponed I was told No because we was under contract. I understand what a contract is but in the contract the serivces that was supposed to be provided after school pick up, after school snacks, and lessons isnt beikg provided.

Harris Holt Martial Arts is an awesome place. It has such a great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I took the Kickboxing and Womens Warrior class there and loved it. The instructors are knowledgeable and they try to give every one some one-on-one tips during the class so that they can get the most out of it. The owner, Blake, is one of the nicest guys you can meet. Everyone makes you feel welcome and does their best to help you out.
