Worst most embarrassing hair cut I’ve ever had in my life and it was THE INSTRUCTOR! The student even reminded him that I didn’t want any off the top or sides. He says he’s gotta just blend something and this is why I was left with. I look down and the heels of hair on the floor and I don’t even have that much hair! I’m now $300 shorter so I could buy a wig. Nothing against the students. They were all kind and professional. The instructors hands smelled like cigarettes in my face and argued with everything. Would not recommend.

Austin’s beauty college is a great place to go for any beauty service! I got my hair colored by Cianna and eyelashes done by Jazzmen! Both ladies were absolutely amazing in every way! Very professional and extremely talented! I am very particular about my hair and lashes and let’s just say I was more than impressed and happy with the services that I received! If I could rate more than five stars I would! Also when I arrived at the salon I was not feeling good about myself and whenever I left I felt like 1 million bucks! I would recommend this salon to anyone!🤗⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shon did a fantastic job on my braids and was super fun to work with. Jessica did my cut and I don’t think I’ll ever go to another stylist of barber ever again. They are both so professional and funny. Highly recommend coming to see both of them.

Great customer service but nail and hair service is trash some people should not be on the floor until they utilize proper training on all hair type and use the correct product. Although the students that I had for my hair and one of my daughters hair did a great job. I understand its practice work but daaamn it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to mess my babies nails up.

Had a mom and daughter facial and it was such a great experience. My daughter is still talking about it. The technicians were great and made us feel relaxed. We will definitely be back.

Most stylists are awesome but the school as a whole is AWFUL. Friends with several stylists there and the things they go through is obscene. They are essential to the atmosphere. Hopefully the people in charge there make changes and appreciate the people there that are keeping their business going.

The girl that did my perm was great. I was her first perm and she was very attentive .the teacher was also great and paid close attention to everything

I got my hair done there a couple years back. They were nice until the comments about my hair came along. I went to get a relaxer the student that tried to do my hair was already intimidated told her it was fine. I think the instructor at the time fussed at her(since she was not able to finish the task, I hope shes still doing hair. The fact that 5 people were trying to do something that one person needed to do says a lot. I hope its better now though I will never go to any type of salon again after that experience.

Today is my Graduation day from APSU and it was a girls day. Got feet and hands and my hair cut. My girls got the same. We look Great thank you.

I got a essential facial here and it was definitely my biggest regret. They make you fill out a paper to to get to “ know your skin “ mean while I don’t even think they read it cause my face I completely broken out now! Tooooo many products on my face, I went to school to be a esthetician for a while for I for one know my face was not exfoliated long enough and I asked for her to extract my black heads! She did like 2 on my cheek and a little on my nose! Last time I got a facial here my face was flawless and they really took their time getting every little black head! Austin Beauty college is an excellent college, the instructors and staff are great they will work with you to prepare for state board. This school make sure that you are well prepared for your state board and becoming a future stylist. I would recommend anyone to go there. You will have a wonderful experience.

I called about 3 weeks ago inquiring about enrolling. The lady took my number and said she placed it on the instructor door. Stated she would see it and call me back. I NEVER heard a word back from anyone. I also filled out the online form and still....NOTHING.

I worked with Cianna and she was absolutely amazing!!! I absolutely love my hair and it’s just stage 1 of it!

Wonderful little beauty college! My daughter got a cut/ balayage and it turned out beautifully. The stylist Alyshia was very sweet, professional, and did an amazing job of blending the color and choosing the right color. Decided to go get my first hair cut after 4 years. I had been so scared to have it done because it always came out uneven or they would cut too much off, plus I have horrible scalp psoriasis which is so embarrassing, but the the girl who did my hair was super understanding and said dont worry about it and used the most amazing tea tree shampoo and let it sit for a minute while she massaged my scalp, and the cut of my hair is perfect. My hair came out so perfect. 10/10!!!!

II enjoyed attending Austin Beauty School, I took the night time course because it enable me to work during the day. The teachers were well prepared and I especially like to give a shout out to Mrs. Charlotte and Mr. B, I learned a lot from them. They assisted with preparation for the state board and the hands on with the customer was very helpful. They did ensure you did not mess up the customer hair. I do recommend anyone who wants to do cosmetology will benefit greatly by attending this school, you will be well on your way to a great career. The staff was great especially Mrs. Austin, always willing to work with you.

I went yesterday as a last ditch effort to save my hair after dying it myself because I was broke. Yes there was a little wait past my appointment time, but understand these girls are still students. Thy are learning and taking their time. These are good things. I was paired up with the young woman named Jay, I and her and the instructor both took their time to figure out what would be best for my hair. I was there for a good chunk of my day but let me tell you that my experience was incredible. Way better than any salon I had ever been to. It was good conversation lots of laughs and I ended up with salon quality hair for a fraction of the price. I dont regret going there at all, and Ill absolutely keep going.

I had a great student who was happy to be as adventurous as I was about my hair. She did a better than amazing job at lightening, toning, cutting and adding some vibrant highlights. Prices more than fair.

Wonderful place to pamper yourself on a budget! I’ve had two one hour facials with Mary and she is fantastic! Her service rivals any high priced spa! My skin is absolutely glowing! I’ll definitely be back!

I would definitely recommend an appointment... However, for me... I was able to call in and see if they were busy. I was a walk in and they got me as soon as I got there early. They are professional and they did a fantastic job on my hair. Ask for Mercedes! Shes pretty awesome and will be there until August 2017. I also got eyebrow waxing done. Absolutely loved the price and loved how everything turned out.

Im so glad there is a school teaching students how to become a professional hairdressers. So many schools lack proper education in able to service future stylist in their workforce. As a professional stylist, educator and a successful salon owner I depend on schools to staff my salon with future employees. Ive notice most of my employees who is most productive and well trained come from Austins beauty collage. If your looking to have a great Career in the beauty industry whether it be in hair or skin Austins Beauty Collage would be the place to go for your education and to be state board certified ready.

Had my first facial last night.they are super nice and takes there time when it comes to doing hair.the spa was great too.but this morning BROKE OUT!! everywhere on my face and my neck it feels super dry and it burns Im in tears extremely upset! And so so so disappointed in this.i had high hopes and hoping they do me right Ive been a loyal customer for years and now this happens .i will NEVER! Go there for a facial again!

I get my hair cut, styled, and colored I have never had a bad experience with my hair. I just read the bad reviews of others and do not understand why they feel that way. The school prides itself in caring about students and assuring they get a good education. It appears the ones who had a bad experience never stated the other side of the story. I realize all people are not going to like the same thing. Sorry for those who feel unsatisfied and pray they will stop and think.

Are you looking for a school whose all about sucking your money dry? Then this is the school for you! Especially if youre a VA student, then theyll love to sign you up! Im currently attending Austins and its awful. Please dont waste your money, please go to a place where they have instructors that care, because this isnt the place!

I went here for two pedicures, which the college generously gave out as gift certificates at military functions. Both times the equipment was sub-standard (non-functioning pedicure chairs). The ladies in each case took their time and didnt seem rushed, were conversational and comfortable to be with. My biggest complaint is the lack of oversight; I assumed that since they were in training, they would either be observed at some point, or I would be asked to review the service I received, but neither occurred, and while the pedicures I received were ok, they were not professional in quality as I normally receive in nail salons, and I dont see how the ladies could improve their skills if no one is reviewing or critiquing them. I do appreciate the colleges military support.

One of the worst experiences of my life. I was a student at Austins since October of 2013. After my husband got back from his tour overseas, I decided to go back and try the school AGAIN to see if any changes were made. No changes at all, in fact it was worse. The only good instructor there is Mr. Berry. The rest are rude and hateful towards clients and students. I was told on several occasions that it doesnt take a brain surgeon to do what I was doing. I felt like a student working for free for a salon. NOT A STUDENT BEING TAUGHT AT A SCHOOL!...Most of these positive reviews on here are from the owners family and the actual school instructors so they shouldnt even count. Since I chose to not finish and continue to waste my time there, the school received a nice check. If I could leave a negative Star, I would. Time and time again my hours were missing on my report card. Every single month something was wrong. I even got sent home for refusing to clock in when my contract told me to. I was told to clock in before and take a client because the teacher didnt want to help. The instructors attitudes are so insulting and going to school everyday there was like walking into a building full of poison.PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING HERE!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING I REPEAT ANYTHING!!!!! This was the worst experience i have ever had. I was just getting gel polish simple right? well when i got there the manager who was instructing the girls what to do had no idea what to do. I had gel polish already on and she had no clue how to get it off, so she had the student put acetone on band aids and put that on my hands for 30 minutes. only to find... SURPRISE it didnt come off. They didnt even have gel polish remover which takes 6 minutes. I was furious. my hands were so dehydrated. They only had 4 colors to pick from as well. once she realized my nails needed to be put in a bowl of acetone, the manager told the poor girl to put a COFFEE FILTER in a PLASTIC bowl because the coffee filter would keep the acetone from touching the plastic bowl and eating it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? i went to a nail salon down the road and they felt so bad for me and gave me a free hand treatment. my skin was peeling because of the acetone and band-aids. apparently it makes for a bad chemical reaction with the petroleum in band-aids and the acetone and sucks all of the moisture our of your fingers. so yeah long story short, DONT EVER GO HERE THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THESE ARE THE PEOPLE BEING RELEASED INTO THE WORLD.

The students at Austins give a great haircut. Their pedicures are great after a hard day at work also.

This is the WORST school to go to if you are using VA benefits. They have messed up time and time again and STILL have not gotten it fixed. What does it honestly take to get stuff done at this school? And all the positive reviews on here I am sure are being paid by the school. Like Charlotte Davis, she is on the staff there. The only teacher worth a grain of salt there was Mr. Berry, the rest just treat you like you are there only to be unpaid help. It was a terrible experience.

First time going to a beauty school so I didnt know what to quiet expect.I walked in on a Wednesday to have my hair highlighted and trimmed, the student seemed nervous and said she had not been on the floor long but explained the instructors helped them during the whole process . Which put me at ease. The instructor came over and asked what I wanted done and helped the girl find the colors she needed and then left her, which was surprising she didnt give her more help during the process. The student seemed to be kind of lost . She asked another student to get the teacher and when the teacher came back she was very rude to the student and myself . Me being the client I was not happy with the disrespect . I felt bad for the student also being spoke to so rudely . The student looked as if she was going to cry. After the color the student trimmed my hair and the color was great even curled it for me. I would say the instructors need more teaching and training on chair side mannors . I do not think I will be returning. Good luck to the young lady that did my hair it was beautiful

I have used Austins for many years. I have always been happy with the services. My wife was a student and we were happy with her experience.

I went to get a pedicure and it was the worst one Ive ever had! They need to do a much better job at training their students! I hardly got any dead skin scraped off because she spent about 10 seconds on each foot, no cuticles cut or worked on, a fast massage, no oils or lotions and a horrible paint job. The whole time she was saying I am so bad at painting nails! DO NOT GO HERE.

I received instructor training at Austins and was very pleased. The instructors were very patient and knowledgeable. I felt prepared to take the actual state exam.

This place Is atrocious DO NOT go there for school or for service.We wasted thousands of dollars for my wife to attend school and she got nothing out of it becausethey only teach you enough to do basic things so they can earn money of clients and you.DO NOT GO let them run out of business. Please do not go to this building for any form of education because you will not receive it. This school will take your money and leave you with no direction. I left early and still have not gotten a financial breakdown of my expenses to the tune of $11,000. Mrs. Austin took it upon herself to visit my new school and bad mouth me in person, lied and said my husband cursed her out when he has never had a conversation with her, and when asked about the truth it was not in her. They would lock the front doors during school hours and allowed very nice students to be disrespected by customers and staff to the point where parents had to have a heart to heart with the owner who by the way is dishonest and morally bankrupt. The school is currently being sued and will be facing other litigation in the future as per Mrs. Austin’s word. Please save yourself the heart ache. This defunct scam should be shut down and Mrs. Austin formally charged.
