We cant speak highly enough of this school. Our kid started at 2 and we saw incredible growth in their curiosity, ability to problem solve and overall enjoyment of learning. The environment is nurturing, the teachers are amazing and the other families are a joy to be around. In addition the hours fit perfectly for two busy working parents. Highly recommend this school!

Our daughter has attended RMS since shortly after it opened and is about to graduate to kindergarten as a well-prepared, thoughtful, empathetic, and curious 5-year old - all things to which we give credit to the incredible teachers and staff at RMS! They have shown patience and love at every step of her development and have instilled in her a love of learning rather than a goal-oriented outcome of learning. We will miss this school terribly and know that others will find it as wonderful an environment as we have.

Ravenswood Montessori School is the best school in the neighborhood! Our daughter attended RMS for about 1 year and we have been so happy. It’s an excellent school with warm & friendly staff. In the mornings we felt comfortable dropping off our daughter knowing that she was in a safe atmosphere. They have been very strict with COVID regularly announcing safety protocols for the children, staff and parents. RMS offers good structure is efficient and well-organized. Highly recommend!

The staff and teachers at RMS run a tight ship. Communication is outstanding and the facility is immaculate. I never had to worry about our sons wellbeing, even throughout the pandemic. We are so proud of the social, emotional, and educational progress our son has made through this program. We consider RMS to be part of our family.

My son started spent over 2 1/2 years at RMS, from the time he was 2 years old. Overall, we cannot speak highly enough about RMS, the staff, teachers, and all who help out at the school. Every single person that works there truly cares about the education, well-being, and safety of the students. It is very obvious they all care about the kids and never slack on giving the love and attention these little ones need. Even through the challenges of Covid, the staff never missed a beat and kept the students and teachers safety in mind. If youre in the neighborhood looking for a great place to send your child, Id recommend RMS as your first (and possibly only) stop. You really cant go wrong.

As a parent, you want to make sure you are making the right decisions when it comes childhood education and care. I am not perfect, I have made many mistakes, but I will always be proud of the decision to enroll our son at R.M.S. The teachers and staff not only take amazing care of the children but they create a community where parents feel safe and the kids thrive. I will always sing the praises of the amazing staff that was with my son from 2-5 years old. Thank you RMS for an amazing foundation for my family.

For three years, RMS created a caring, nurturing, and educational environment for our son. We could not have been more pleased with the attention they gave him and how prepared he was for kindergarten after attending RMS from age 2 through 5. A great educational experience from start to finish with the most involved, caring staff you could imagine.

We couldnt be happier with our experience at RMS. Our daughter absolutely loves being at school and she adores her teachers. It is such a warm and nurturing environment. My daughter learned so much academically, but RMS has also fosters creativity, curiosity, independence, and a deep love of learning. It is a very special school, and we will really miss it!!

RMS was an exceptional gift to our family during this Covid season. Our daughter transitioned from the infant-2 year old school after the initial stay at home order and she loved every minute she was there! She learned so much and talked regularly of the activities she did. Teachers were very communicate and easy to reach. The app that RMS uses keeps parents in the loop regarding all of their childs day.In regards to Covid safety, RMS is one of the programs with the most extensive safety/reopening plans that Ive seen when looking at other daycare/schools. While it seemed cumbersome at times, we always knew that they prioritized the health of their staff, children, and by extension families. Sadly, a recent move resulted in our daughter no longer being able to attend. We miss RMS dearly!

Our son attended RMS from 2-3.5 years of age. During this time we watched him flourish, and we are very grateful for the education and care that he received. Our son not only made many friends, but also grew close to his teachers and the staff at RMS. They’re all so friendly, supportive, and caring! The school itself is very clean and beautiful. The classrooms are spacious, and there is also a music room, activity room, and a wonderful playground outside. I truly don’t believe that we could’ve found a better place for our son. To say that we are thankful is an understatement!

My son attended RMS from age 2 until this week (he is 3.5 now). It was his (and our) first experience with daycare/preschool, and I really feel fortunate that it was with RMS. He has learned and grown so much since his first days. His language and independence skills are what have exploded the most.Things we loved: 1 -- it feels like school! Not somewhere you drop your kids off at to just be watched and kept alive. The facilities are super clean, they hold parent-teacher conferences and events like ice cream socials and Mothers Day teas. 2 -- Brightwheel! The school uses this app to update parents in real time and the photos/videos I see brighten my day. 3 -- The staff are excellent. I have never felt like anyone was unqualified or didnt like kids, which I see at other places.Disclaimer: little things I didnt like about RMS (not being allowed inside the classroom at dropoff and pickup) have nothing to do with the school itself, but the Montessori philosophy, which they take seriously and is not just pasted in their name for the hell of it. I adjusted to the little things, as the big things listed above far outweighed them. Great place, thanks RMS!

My son attended RMS and did very well at the school. The teachers and staff are amazing. The school is clean. The curriculum was engaging. Very convenient for parents, including curbside drop off in the morning. They also use the Brightwheel app so you can track your kids day (with photos and video too!). Nothing but good things to say. Best of luck, well miss RMS!

Weve been sending our 5-year-old to RMS for seven months (more or less since the school opened), and plan to send our 3-year-old there in the fall. We all -- parents and kids -- absolutely love it here. It is straight-up Montessori, from the philosophy to the daily structure to the education to the discipline, so I wont waste anyones time describing those elements you can easily research. Either youll love Montessori (and therefore will love RMS), or you should exclude RMS from your list. What makes RMS unique is the management, from whom all wonderful things flow. The experienced mother-son team of directors clearly want what is best for everyone, from the always-smiling and professional staff and teachers who miraculously never appear to be tired or in a bad mood (and yet theyre very human -- its a mystery); to the joyful, well behaved, and respectful children who receive loving and personal care and education; to the beautifully appointed and impeccably clean facility with every Montessori work and plaything you can imagine; all the way to the happy parents. I think were all waiting to find a flaw, but among the parents Ive spoken with, no ones found anything to complain about. Still, RMS is always coming up with new ways to grow and to improve everyones experience -- including a morning street-side drop-off, a fantastic app with multiple daily updates/photos, parent-teacher conferences (in preschool!!), and little parties for Mothers/Fathers Day, parent socials, etc. Its slightly more expensive than the daycare where we were before, but the experience isnt even comparable. I feel like were getting far more than were paying for.

My child came home saying Im nasty, Im a baby, and kept repeating it. I dont talk to my child using those words so I asked her where she heard it from? She said her teacher told her she is nasty and she is a baby when she had a poopy accident. Granted she is in the process of potty training, but she is only two and no one should be spoken to in that manner, let alone a teacher.
