Fun, interesting, smart teachers and staff. My family has been there 10 months. My kid loves it more than I could’ve imagined. It feels like I found a treasure. The head of school is incredible. The school-wide camping trip is a highlight. I trust the school on a core level because they have strong community involvement. They have the smartest kids I’ve ever met…and they are culturally aware on fundamental level.

I just wanted to share how grateful we are for Montessori Foundations of Chicago. MFC is the best thing that has happened for our family! Our son started in the infant room and is now one of the older students in his diverse, multi-age preschool class, and he is thriving. Besides the gorgeous new school building just a block away from the old location, the director (Ms. Betty) and staff have worked so hard to continue serving MFC students and families throughout this wild year. From customized home learning kits and preschool Zoom sessions during the spring 2020 shutdown to safely resuming in person classes following all the state protocols and even offering virtual parent engagement sessions, Ms. Betty and all the staff have truly gone above and beyond to keep this neighborhood gem shining. We really love how much his teacher and teachers assistants care about him and his development, and parent and family involvement is very high, which leads to a true sense of community. We have learned so much about how to be good parents, and our son has grown in so many ways and developed his independence. We feel lucky to be part of the MFC community and grateful that this incredibly high quality education is such an affordable option in the neighborhood.

I really like this daycare and I highly recommend it for parents who wants thier kids to grow up with confidence and independence, I barely trained there for 4 days for now and I am very amazed about the capacity of kids to do everything even in a very young age and the way the teachers deal with them and try to extract the best of those kids using multiple strategies that help the child to build his personality. To be honnest this is not a daycare but a second family for a child.

At an extremely reasonable price the education they provide is invaluable, for your kids and the adults. You wont find this kind of help anywhere else. Think beyond what you know, outside of your comfort zone and then youll understand how smart your kids really are and what they are doing and why. They brought out the best in my kids and continue to do so to others. The teachers, aids and director care about your kids as if they were their own. This is not daycare, so their expectations from you as a parent are high, as they should be, as you should be involved in their education. This place will always be with us.

My son has been here for 4+ years. He is now entering the elementary program. I credit much of his growth to the school. He loves going to school and learning. He reads well above his age and does so because he wants to, not because the school tells him he has to. The Montessori method has a way of building confidence in kids that makes them to genuinely want to succeed for themselves and the love of learning by expanding on a kids naturally curious mind. He brings this attitude not only in school but rather anything he does. At such a young age(3 y.o) not all kids are ready to do math or start reading for example, but the Montessori method allows kids to learn when they are ready rather than force them to start reading( or math etc) thus creating a distaste for it because its not their right time. The staff are trained in the Montessori method and know how to implement it the right way. We are proud to say our son goes to school there.

All my kids went to this daycare. I love the teachers here and also their Montessori philosophy. We just went to my friends kid birthday party last week and Im so proud of Claire when she being such an independent girl during the time at my friends house, Wesley too. They just did everything by themselves: eating, cleaning up,washing hands, peeing, putting on their own shoes.... They only 2 and 4 yrs old. My friends so surprised that they can be so independent at this age.Im the easiest mom even with three kids. I want to say thank you to all the teachers and Ms Beata for providing such a wonderful daycare. I will definitely recommend this daycare to everyone i know.

My husband and I are very happy with the care and education both our girls (ages 3 & 1) receive at MFC. They have both been students there since the age of 3 months. The love, attention, guidance and instruction they receive is fantastic. The staff there have not only been beneficial to our childrens growth, but has also helped me to become a more confident parent. I would recommend to anyone!

I have my daughter Lily Tinghili in this daycare for about three years. Within this three short years, she is a Montessori student. She is Kindergarten, but she is at the second grade level. I am busy mom like you. This is the perfect place to put your child. The school provides healthy food( I mean real food). Breakfast, lunch, and after noon snack you do not have to worry. You can have a peace of mind at work without worry about your child.

My children have been there over 3 years and I could not be happier. They are well advanced over their same aged friends that do not attend a Montessori School. The teachers are passionate and so is the school director and owner, who clearly cares about the childrens education at school and at home, by providing education events for parents as well. Love this school!!!!!!

This daycare is second to none!! We have been sending our daughter here since she was 6 weeks old and can not say enough good things about it. With the Montessori learning method she is extremely independent and yet very respectful to others. She was completely potty trained at 2 and able to dress herself because of her hard working compassionate teachers. She is now 3 and in the primary classroom. She knows all of her numbers, letters and is working on the sounds each letter makes. She can even sew on a button!!!! These are just a few of the amazing things she has learned here. The fact that she truly enjoys going to school, make us feel good dropping her off. On the weekends she will even say, I miss my teachers.Miss Betty, the director, truly knows children and has taught us so much. We plan to keep our daughter here through kindergarden and feel so lucky to have this quality of school located in our neighborhood.

I am proud to share I have worked in this prestigious school, Montessori Foundations of Chicago. MFC is not just a school but a home. 1 year of working with the beautiful Staff, Teachers, Families, and Children in MFC is enough for me to attest that MFC is a family of diverse, loving, respectful, thoughtful, kind, approachable, helpful, friendly, intelligent, funny and admirable wonderful people. The staff and teachers respect, support and help each other in different ways. MFC is 100% believer in Maria Montessori’s approach and religiously practices them. MFC works hard being there to help the child develop the love to learn at their own pace but most importantly guides in shaping their own character socially and emotionally to become RESPECTABLE, INDEPENDENT and RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. You want your child to learn to be independent and proactive through Maria Montessori’s methodologies with school work, life and their self, MFC is the best school for you! I am proud to share, my Primary 2 class is filled with children not just smart thinkers but caring boys and girls, solves their problems creatively but also plans and hosts fun parties! I highly recommend parents and teachers to be part of the MFC Family. The only reason I am flying away from this awesome family is to be with my new family, my husband. I am thankful for the wonderful, precious experiences and memories I have shared with MFC, staff, teachers, families and most especially the CHILDREN. If you think you are awesome, you belong in MFC. If you don’t, MFC will make you become one and feel awesome! Like one of my students sing everyday from the Lego Movie, “Everything is awesome... 🎶”

In response to the owner, I am quite baffled when reading the part of which you mention that trail candidates are thoroughly screened to see if they are appropriate to work with kids.I would like to know what kind of screening that would be according to you, because all I did was turn in a resume which didnt indicate any experience at all with children, and i didnt turn in or was requsted any references. I was only asked 5 questions about children more or less . This took place in a group interview,  which i think personally was not appropriate, because everyone was basically feeding off of other peoples responses.I did not see that as thorough screening.I witnessed a hazardous place where kids were emptying water from containers, and getting the floor soaking wet. A slippery bathroom where there was absolutely no concern with the kids running about. As for the fun outings that you proudly state, I saw kids with runny noses, coughing, and getting their clothes wet, because this place STRIVES ON INDEPENDENCY. I saw nonsense. One little boy was in between a cement pathway and a gate, and i went to take him out of their because it was dangerous. There was bits of broken glass, and one of the teachers stated to let him go. She said that they need to learn danger....I think that some teachers lack brain cells.I do not rely on pictures that are posted on Facebook, because they mean nothing. Some parents should take a day off, just to observe what this place is about. As for DCFS, I did make calls. Several calls. They stated that they were going to investigate, because the situation was not right.
