My 5-year-old just finished a 10-lesson introduction to horse riding at Relational Riding, and we had an amazing experience. Her instructor, Christine, was amazing with young children, which is understandable because she was an elementary teacher as well as a great riding instructor. With Christine, my daughter not only learned good technique and safety but also had her love of horses fortified. Christine was patient, kind and attentive and even took extra time to let my daughter feed carrots and apples to all of the horses. It was a wonderful first exposure to riding for my daughter. Michelle is an amazing teacher, and the programs at RRA are very high quality! She fosters not only a love for riding, but also a general love of horses! There is so much opportunity to learn everything from riding, to care of the horses to learning to teach riding. We have so much fun no matter what we are doing on the farm!

We fell in love with RRA the first day we visited during a Spokane Park and Rec program that was held there. The instructors provided very focused individualized attention for the riders. We also loved the fact that the horses we were riding were rescues. Its a bit of a drive for us to get there so I really wasnt expecting that we would go out there much. Three years later my daughter rides at least twice a week. She is becoming a very skilled rider, and just relishing every moment of it!

Michelle is amazing and my kids have learned so much! It’s not just about riding horses, she also teaches them how to care for and look after the horse.
