I have had the incredible pleasure of learning to play the piano under the direction of Dr Julia K. She has been totally awesome, highly professional, remarkably talented, and ever so patient with me despite my many short-comings. I started to play the piano for the first time ever at 50 years of age, and I could never have had a better teacher. I refused to even try to read music right from the start, and she somehow managed to get my skill set way further along after just 2 years than I had ever dreamed would be possible. Thank you for such a great experience !

Jinny Lee is a wonderful teacher that takes time to really help you understand music theory and not just the act of playing piano. Ive had a wonderful experience with her the past few years and I would recommend to anyone over the age of 30 wanting to learn piano. She is patient, kind and fair.

We love Musicians in Motion! Weve had an guitar instructor coming to the house teaching my 10 year son for the past 5 years, and I recently started my other two boys on piano lessons. Weve had great results and love our teachers. Its so convenient to have Josh (our guitar instructor) come to our home - always dependable, always on time and works great with my son. The piano technique (Simple Music) has been wonderful, and although practicing in our home requires frequent reminders, my boys love to show off their skills on the keyboard.

One of my sons takes piano lessons with Tina/guitar with David, and the other takes voice lessons with Tina/ukulele with David. Both of these instructors have kept my boys interested and excited about music. The kids are learning a lot and having a great time along the way. I have been taking piano lessons here for about a year and the teachers are fabulous. I looked around at different teachers in charlotte for a while until I found Valarie. Its hard to find music teachers that can teach all levels, beginner and also advanced.

My son is learning piano from Musicians in Motion for six months and I have to admit that he has improved a lot over his piano skill. Thanks to Ms. Christy Wilson for her lessons. She is a dedicated teacher and takes care of her students very well. I also want to mention that music lesson at home from Musicians in Motion is a great idea as my son who is in 6th grade can save some time while taking the lesson at home. The cost of these private lesson is little high but it worth the value when you see the result.

My son had never played a musical instrument but was always messing around with his play guitar, keyboard and microphone - a budding rock star! So I reached out to Music In Motion and asked them for advice, he hadnt played anything professionally before. They suggested he start with the piano as a basis and at a later age he should start the guitar, but the piano would be an excellent start to learn the rudiments of music.At first my son was not attentive (hes 6, the attention span of a newt) but after about 3 lessons his interest was quelled by the teachers perseverance and patience with him and he slowly came round. My 6 year old daughter Izzy has been taking lessons with David Dorenfeld in Matthews. David is wonderful with her, and she absolutely loves her lessons with him. She wishes she could go everyday.
