AFV is a Breath of Fresh Air! Normally any kind of lessons even pole or dance could be sterile & a chore. Though here, am not only learning every lesson but also leave feeling Refreshed, excited & a sense of accomplishment so its Bonus-Time. Hope its not wrong to say learning is fun, cause it is here. Annie values safety & teaching what the student wants to do. Much better than pre-structured classes for everyone. The studio is warm, decorated for dancing & very comfortable so after the door closes the rest of the world is shutout. Wow....where should I begin? Let me begin with Annie! She is so fun and outgoing. She keeps me laughing and makes this super fun. She is a great teacher because she caters to you specifically and she is very efficient with the time we spend together. I look forward to my classes with her. I booked a Sensual Soirée party for my best friends bachelorette party and we had a blast!no only did she carter the brides likes like I asked (like more burlesque dancing and music from Katy Perry), she also taught us a lot about burlesque as well. OMG!!! I need extra stars. Annie is PHENOMENAL!! I booked for a Bachelorette party and opted for the Chair Dance class. It was great (and great seems too simple of a word)!! Annie has a wonderful personality. She made it a point to learn all of our names, which is a rarity these days, and there were 10 of us. Learning something new can be very intimidating but Annie was very encouraging and she made us as feel like skilled dancers. I have gone to multiple exotic dance/pole classes in Charlotte over the years and this by far was the best experience EVER!! The routine was senual and sexy but easy to follow so we all will most certainly be putting our new exotic dance skills to work 😉. We will DEFINITELY be back. I just finished a 12 class package from Annie, and let me say, was it worth it. I was training for a competition, and wanted some quality, guided, hands on instruction and AFV Exotic Arts more than fit that bill. Annies professional, creative and artistically driven, and does an amazing job at bringing out the potential of her students.Over the span of the class package we were able to build a complete choreography for my competition, polish up technique on old moves as well as learning new moves, and my flexibility (always a weakness for me) shot throught the roof. And, thanks to core training each class, my abs and back are noticable stronger.With Charlotte being quite lacking in quality aerial arts instruction, any individual that is interested in learning pole, chair, or burlesqe should check out AFV. When I first signed up for classes with Annie of AFV Exotic Arts, I was simply looking for a physical transformation. Pole classes had been on my bucket list for quite some time, but I was always too intimidated to sign up for them.
