Montessori Childrens Center is an excellent daycare. The teachers are thoughtful, kind and understanding. Ive had two children at this center and they have received excellent care. My child was taught to use the potty, put his own shoes on and write his name, among many other things, we would have struggled to teach him as working parents. Its also very affordable, and the location was very convenient for us.

My two sons attended MCC. The quality of care is exceptional. The academic program is high quality and the teachers are dedicated to the the whole child -- academic, emotional and physical (i.e safety). The center director is approachable and professional and runs the school very well. You can expect consistent (solicited and unsolicited) feedback and work product completed by your child weekly. Thanks to the methods and preparation by his teachers, I felt my family had a true partnership to ensure the academic success and preparation for Kindergarten for my 5 y/o -- He is focused, strong at math, a reader and is performing at the top of his K class. My now 2 y/o was also blossoming at MCC -- he learned colors, numbers, how to play well with others, took an interest in puzzles and picked up a few Spanish words. There was not a day that passed that I worried about the quality of care or attention my little one received at MCC -- highly recommend from infants thru K!

I was very nervous when I was touring for the best match for my first born at the age of 2 in 2014. She had been only cared for by her grand mother, being the only child in the family was extremely pampered. At my very first visit, after meeting the owner/administrator I cancelled all my appointments at the other schools for the day. My mind was at ease. And the my stay there for the next 3 years only made me love the entire crew more. They took care of my child like their own. Loved her, took care of her, guided her and were firm with her when needed. For first two months she wouldnt leave her class teacher alone and she stayed back during her lunch break with my daughter until she got comfortable with other teachers. She was very shy, and wouldnt ask for help. Her teachers recognized that and encouraged her to challenge herself. Now just turning 5, she can add, subtract, multiply and divide (small number) and read. I can go on and on. I think anyone looking for a family oriented, clean and safe environment for their kids should opt for this place.

My family and I love this school!!! My son attended this school until this past fall when he started Kindergarten and his teachers can definitely tell the difference between him and his other peers in class. He is way ahead of the curve with his reading, writing and math skills. He shows confidence when taking on assignments in and out of the classroom. The staff from the Montessori Childrens Center went above and beyond to prepare my son for his educational future. My daughter is currently attending this school and we couldnt be happier with the progress she is making. She is also reading, writing and practicing math skill well beyond other children her age that we know who are in enrolled in other schools.I would, and have, highly recommended the Montessori Childrens Center to anyone I know with children or who are planning on having children. The teachers and their assistants are fantastic! They are always available anytime I have questions or want to talk about my childs progress. The administrative is superb! They are quick to respond anytime I have a request or need information from them.If you are looking for a dependable, caring and warm environment for your children, this is the place!

MCC is a great choice for your kiddos! The small classroom size is a major plus as the children really get to know each other well, this also promotes a great relationship between your child and their primary teacher. The building is dated and is need of some repairs - whenever it would rain there was a leak from our childs classroom ceiling.

Our children are 15 years apart, it was not a difficult decision to determine were our daughter would develop her learning. Our son had obtained great organizational and social skills from Montessori Children Center in Centreville and the longevity of maintaining some good staff members during this time from our son attendance and learning; only made the future look brighter for our daughter to follow in her big brother footsteps, but also made it more comfortable for us as parent with who we trusted to help mode our child’s education. Our daughter has surprised us on days with what she has learned, understanding healthy food choices of to eat, who she socializes with and continues to work on these skills when she comes home. On days away or on holidays; she will express the void of missing her educators. The class room teacher/directors provided recommendations to help prepare our children for the next level of classes and academic environments.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. I have three children(two girls and one boy) and each one of them attended MCC in Centreville from the time they turned 18 months until Kindergarten. I never had an issue. Everyone was extremely attentive and my children all had a huge educational advantage going into public school especially in reading! I highly recommend this center!

I toured several places for my infant daughter. Even though it was further from our home than other places we looked at, we decided on Montessori Childrens Center because of the small classroom size, diversity in the students and teachers, and the attentiveness of the director. I am so impressed that the director takes the time to know each of the children and their progress. My daughter is now 18 months and has been going here for more than a year. She has really flourished in the toddler classroom and in the last three month has learned a lot of new words, activities, and songs. They also have a really fun and educational summer program for the children. Im happy with our choice to send our daughter here and would encourage anyone looking for a reliable preschool to look at MCC.

Both my kids went to this Montessori for 4 years. The teachers are greatly committed and very loving. This is one school that closely follows Montessori methods, teaching kids not only academically advanced skills but also important life skills. They stay far away from rote memorization or abstraction. Rather the basics are taught using hands-on projects in subjects like Math, Science, Reading, Writing and Social studies and they lay a strong foundation for excelling at elementary school. They also have convenient, hot, fresh and nutritious meals included in their tuition. MCC has great summer activities that kids enjoy and look forward to. They now have after school program with transport provided for nearby Elementary schools. They team up with other vendors to bring-in after school activities like ballet, music, soccer etc to the school and working parents dont have to drive their kids around for such activities. The directors and staff conduct regular conferences with parents and let them come in to watch their kids anytime they wish to and are always around to provide constant feedback and advice. My kids still visit and have fond memories of MCC, its staff and their experiences.

Since starting at Montessori Children’s Center as a shy but precocious 4-year-old, my daughter has grown so much. Now 6, she has blossomed socially, made great strides in reading and math, and become more mature and self-sufficient.MCC’s teachers, including my daughter’s teachers Ms. Farhana and Ms. Elsa, do a great job of nurturing the whole child. I was drawn to the school because of its dedication to fostering a love of learning in its students using the Montessori method, but we stayed through kindergarten because of the quality of the instruction and staff. It’s not an understatement to say that MCC Centreville feels like our extended family and I would definitely recommend the school to anyone looking to instill a lifelong love of learning in their children.

We have been at MCC for 3 years now. My son has moved to elementary school and he was so well prepared from his time at Montessori Childrens Center. He was able to reach chapter books prior to kindergarten. My daughter is 3 and is still at MCC. The teachers are loving and kind and treat my kids like family. I love that they offer activities like ballet, soccer and art for the kids to explore. I highly recommend MCC.

It was so hard to find child care in northern Virginia, even though we started looking while only 4 months pregnant! Everyone already had a waitlist. I was thrilled to find that MCC, only a mile from my home, had exactly the care I was hoping that for and would be available when we needed it!My son started at only 3 months old, and I was glad to be allowed to spend the day with him and the teachers there before having to leave him alone. As a first time mom, I was grateful to his teachers (who had kids of their own) for advice and recommendations on creams, routines, and more!Even though there are separate infant and toddler rooms, at the end of the day when I pick up my son they have them all together in the great room. I know my son’s motor development benefitted from watching the slightly older babies run and play!I also love that it is a multi-lingual environment! On the days I got to hang around, I heard the teachers sing to the infants the names of colors in Spanish and English. I think that is so good for brain development! My favorite thing though was that every holiday the teachers used his hand or foot print in a craft!! I thought I’d have to wait a few more years to hang his art around my house, so these projects are so special to me!We are only leaving now because my job is taking us out of state. I wish my son could continue to grow at MCC, and take part in the extracurriculars and summer programs offered! We will certainly miss all his teachers who have become like family!

Our children have thrived while enrolled in this wonderful school. Two of our three children attended this school for four years and our only wish was that we had found MCC in time for our oldest child. Our childrens emotional and social development were nurtured through daily interactions with staff and classmates during group activities and hands on projects. Their manners were reinforced through meals and snacks as well as special activities such as tea time.As part of the academic curriculum, both of our children were able to read, write complete sentences, add, subtract and multiply before going to kindergarten. Our son even learned how to divide. They engaged in projects and conversations around the environment, geography, explorers, planets, space, as well as countries and cultures of the world. At each turn our childrens curiosity was encouraged and indulged. They were challenged in a way that allowed them to experience success but to reach just beyond their comfort zone.We cannot say enough good things about this school. Your child(ren) will be well educated and cared for at this school.

Our experience at Montessori Children’s Center in Centerville started off great, but slowly spiraled downward. The positives:– great space, though desperate for some updates;– fair price;– nice families enrolled. The negatives:- awful communications;- hands-off management;- too many teachers that spoke very little English;- outdated materials. Some major red flags and inevitably our reason for leaving:- our 14 month old son was slapped by a teacher right in front of us (reported to inspector and verified through investigation – see violation on county website);- although they advertised no technology, we frequently saw kids huddled around iPhones watching cartoons;- our daughter was fearful of the teachers after two years of attending the school, and started to shut down emotionally and stopped speaking at school (I can’t get her to be quiet most of the time at home!). She would beg me not to take her to school.- our son had a noticeable language delay from being in a primarily Spanish speaking environment – also, not as advertised;- Staff members were defensive rather than willing to discuss issues and possible solutions. My biggest regret is not pulling my children out sooner. We are now enrolled in a new school right down the road and the children are thriving. They run in and hug their teachers and say bye to me before I’ve even hung their coats up. They love it there!

Both our kids have done their preschool with Montessori Childrens Center. Both learned tremendously from their time at MCC. Ms. Fiaza, Ms. Shaheena, Ms. Amrit, and all the teachers are superb at creating an a rich curriculum and environment where kids learn skills necessary to get a step up as they get ready for elementary school. They have been fabulous at teaching the kids these skills, at nurturing their personalities, at helping them become independent and confident little people. We are very thankful for the personal interest, care, and effort shown by the Director, the teachers, and all the the staff towards our kids. Thank you!
