My son started in April. He is absolutely excited to go every week. As a parent I really appreciate the discipline and the balance it requires for the kids. It is also so much fun to watch the kids progress through the course. They keep the kids engaged with fun activities would definitely recommend for anyone.

My son is in the Tiny Tigers class, and we absolutely love this place! The instructors are amazing and so patient with all the little kids! They know exactly how to keep them engaged and improving every class. My son struggles with focusing and paying attention and some discipline, but I have noticed great improvements! Master Cruzado is amazing and very involved to make sure everyone gets the most out of every class! We 100% recommend!!!

Pros: Everyone is super nice. My child has fun. He says yes sir.Cons: I do wish there was more education on what he is learning. I think he should know how to use his lessons in real life. Example would be about strangers. I am not sure if he knows why he is doing things. I also dont understand the process of moving up the belt. I bought protective gear and Im not sure if he even really needed it.

My daughter has been a student of Master Cruzado’s for a year now. This has been an amazing experience for her as well as us as parents watching her develop and become more disciplined. Master Cruzado is great instructor and has a gift working with all the ages, especially the little kids (I don’t know how he does it sometimes…LOL).He keeps them engaged through each class, the development moving, advancement to the next level belt is not great lengths of time (if you are mastering the techniques), and also hosts great events for the kids outside of the normal weekly schedule (fun nights, amusement center gatherings, camps, etc.).Thank you Master Cruzado (and additional instructors) for creating an amazing fun and learning atmosphere at Canton CKD!

Cantonckd has been amazing for our son Elijah. When choosing a martial arts school for him we were extremely picky and wanted a place that was safe, comfortable for our child, instructors who were patient as well as talented. From the minute I spoke to Master Cruzado I knew we had found the right place. Our son is young (4 years old) with high functioning autism and ADHD and Master Cruzado didnt shy away from that at all. He is incredibly patient while remaining firm in his expectations and teachings. You can tell he was made for this and while I wish we could duplicate him, the staff he is training, he is instilling his very same model and structure with them and they are and will be great as well. Master Cruzado doesnt exclude any child from class and everyone is treated the same way despite any issue they may have or not have. It has been really exciting watching Elijah grow and practice around the house and excited about his time in class. We have told everyone about Cantonckd and could not recommend this martial arts school enough. It is the best and we are so incredibly fortunate its in Canton where we live as we were willing to travel outside of our city if it meant we were getting the best for our son. Thank you to this amazing team and most of all Master Cruzado for taking us on like his own family!

Great experience! Both of my boys seem to be very excited every time they walk through the door. It has helped with their discipline along with them understanding that they have to listen, work hard and pay attention to achieve their goals (belt colors). Choi Kwang Do (CKD) in general is a wonderful martial art that focuses on whole health of your body and mind. It is an amazing discipline that is appropriate for the entire family. Canton CKD is one of the best schools around. Jonathan Crusado (Master Crusado) is constantly working to ensure the best experience, training and discipline of all students. He is a master of the art and spends hours each day on his personal development. My son, Chandler, and I are both students of Master Crusado. Chandler (who is 12 and very reserved) has continued to gain confidence in himself and is comfortable to assist in class. He recently achieved his 1st degree black belt (a 3 year journey) and wants to open his own CKD school one day. He has stayed committed and focused on CKD even at his young age. It is the only sport that he has truly loved. I am 44 and just recently started my CKD journey. I watched Chandler in class and knew it was something I wanted to do. I love the program and instruction and prefer this exercise to most others that I have tried. The friendships gained are amazing. The support is wonderful. I cannot say enough about it. There are several parent/child members and it is such a special bond that is shared between the parent and the child.

When I first came to Choi Kwang Do about my two boys, I was a little nervous on how the boys would like it. I can proudly say over the last several months this program has helped my boys with their confidence in life, along with me finding new friends. I recommend this to everyone and anyone. I started training at CantonCKD when I was 8 years old. I had recently watched Kung Fu Panda and wanted to be able to punch and kick too! I am a former dancer, but when I started martial arts, I threw my ballet shoes away because I knew Choi was my calling. Coming into class and seeing my Choi Kwang Do family immediately puts a smile on my face: even on difficult days. Choi Kwang Do has improved many aspects of my life including the fact that my confidence has grown exponentially; I’m able to speak confidently and comfortably around people rather than hiding in a corner on my phone. I am now a 2nd degree black belt and part of our incredible instructor team. It has been six years since since Kung Fu Panda sealed my fate as a martial artist, and I can’t recommend Choi Kwang Do enough for learning confidence, perseverance and self-defense.

We seriously love Canton CKD!!! We came in when my son had just turned 3 and was having behavioral issues in school and at home. Master Cruzado and all the other instructors have had nothing but patience with his crazy wild little self and even brought back the Tiny Tigers program for him, which he seriously loves!!! Bryson’s behavior in class and at home have improved GREATLY throughout the last few months and we are starting to see an improvement in preschool too. I am truly very greatful we found Canton CKD I can’t wait to watch Bryson grow up in this school with all his new friends!!!!!

Choi Kwang Do Canton Martial Arts with Master Jonathan Cruzado has been part of our family for the last 7 years and counting. My oldest son Jacob started when he was four years old and my second son Matt started when he was 5 years old.
