Lisa is a great flight instructor. She is tough and holds a high standard. The equipment is meticulously maintained. She has a wealth of experience and knows what shes talking about. Im confident that my training at SRFC has put me well on the path of safe flying.

Lisa and Jim have a terrific flight school, at a very nice airport. The atmosphere at Caldwell is great, and Snake River has very nice planes. I’ve flown with both Lisa and Jim a couple times and it’s great to fly with instructors who really teach well and enjoy helping their students.

WD-40 For a Rusty PilotI came to Snake River Flying Club after 10 years of inactivity. I had some medical issues that made it difficult to maintain my 3rd class medical certificate. I am 69 years old and have been a private pilot since I was 18. I have significant flying experience. Flying is a perishable skill and after a 10 year break, I was rusty.I contacted Lisa at Snake River Flying Club and was immediately impressed with her no non sense direct approach. Lisa has broad experience in aviation and training. She is a stickler for safety, and detail. She is a good communicator and was able to focus in on the areas where I needed the most training.As an experienced pilot, I have had many instructors over the years. There are instructors that are just building time to move on the airlines, and then are aviation experts that love to teach. Lisa is in the latter class.Snake River Flying Club also owns their aircraft. They take an ownership interest in the maintenance and operation assuring safe and reliable aircraft.Snake River Flying Club and Lisa was the WD-40 I needed to remove the rust and get me flying again.

Its hard to describe what it is like to pull back on the yoke and gently lift the plane into the sky with you as the controller of the airplane carrying you wherever you tell it to go. If this is your dream, Snake River is the place to make it happen. Safety, knowledge and experience are here in spades. I recommend you take an introductory flight and interview Lisa and Jim before you pick a flight school. You wont be sorry that you did.

I cant recommend this school enough. Amazing instructors ! I did my Private license through here and am continuing my flight ratings.I have visited and interviewed almost every school in the treasure valley and this school is far superior. Lisa the owner really wants to see you succeed. She has thousands of flight hours and really knows her stuff! The prices are very reasonable and I have found hers to be actually cheaper. Snake River is a great learning and friendly atmosphere. she has multiple planes.. 152, 172s, 182, and a stinson. I cant recommend this place enough. Go take that discovery flight! you wont be disappointed!

I have been a pilot for 43 years. I recently purchased a high performance light sport aircraft and needed someone to teach me how to best fly it, and safely. Lisa had not flown this particular plane before either, but she has such vast experience and expertise for anything with wings that she learned to fly it like an expert in no time, and then set out to teach me. I have had a boatload of very good to excellent instructors over decades, but Lisa beats them all. I have never had someone as passionate, as remarkable, and as knowledgeable as her. She is an absolute perfectionist, and she will teach you to fly an airplane like you are Mozart writing a symphony. With her, you will learn to be the most precise and safest pilot that you can possibly be, and you will do this while having fun with a person who truly cares about your flying future, now and for many years to come. Bravo Lisa! I will never forget what you have done for me.

I had the amazing opportunity to take a pinch hitter course with a group of 7 other women. Lisa created an amazing program for us, and it was truly a wonderful experience!! All of the flying instructors, ground school instructors, and other instructors provided valuable knowledge, and made this experience so fun! Thank you for such an AMAZING time! Im already excited to continue learning more.

I NEVER write reviews - but in this case I do make an exception.The reason for that is that I need to say Thank you for the great time I had with Lisa this summer. Im a private pilot from Germany with an US-PPL and came to get my bi-annual done and go on some cross country flights.Not only that Lisa was doing a perfect job in getting me current in an incredible short amount of time (I have not been flying for more than 2 years) but she also did that in the most caring and hearty way I could imagine. While I would rate her German language proficiency rather 3 stars :-p, her flying skills and her knowledge on aviation are way above 5 stars. Needless to say that the planes are in perfect condition.You will not only get flying lessons with Lisa, but a teacher that makes the learning process fun - while teaching you every detail you need.Thank you, Lisa!

I just finished my instrument rating with Lisa and Cody and they are the real deal. I’m a 2500+ hour commercial pilot and needed to wrap up the IFR stuff and they took great care of me. Airplanes are in great shape, everyone is on time and PREPARED for just what you need to move forward. They have a genuine interest in getting you trained in a timely and cost effective manner. Highly recommended. Let’s be honest here, most schools suck real bad. These guys rock!!

Jim and Lisa Breuer are fabulous people who clearly have a love of aviation. They teach their select group of students to be the most responsible, thorough and well-prepared aviators in the skies. They are meticulous in the care of their three Cessnas and are at the forefront of the available flight technology. They raise the bar for the standard of excellence and inspire that in their students. Only the serious need apply though! They suffer no fools and do not accept sloppy, inconsiderate airmanship or poor bookwork, so be prepared to work hard! Its completely worth it if youre in it for the long haul.
