My son has been attending Montessori of Calabasas for about six months now. He is in the 2 year old program and absolutely loves it. Since attending the school he has improved on both his speaking ability and overall comprehension. When I pick him up after school he does not want to leave and is eager to show me all of the new projects he is working on. I sometimes feel so embarrassed.....he likes school better than home! Matching the experience for my son is the overall cleanliness of the facility and professional behavior of the staff. The director, Donna, does a wonderful job organizing the weekly routines for the children, as well as bringing in extra-curricular activities like musicians, storytellers, characters, and a variety of other shows. I would say the biggest plus for me is that I do not feel like this is just a daycare facility for my son, it is like a second home. My son is given individual attention according to his needs and I am always kept informed. He is spending up to 10 hours a day there at times and I feel very comfortable and confident that he is not only happy, but learning and laughing too.

My Son has been going here since he was 3 years old [hes 5 now] & probably the most intelligent & confident child I know. One thing about Montessori schools that I love so much is their willingness to throw tradition aside & really get in there with their students. A lot of parents are intimidated by this style of learning or are so caught up in whats normal that they dont see how beneficial this style of learning really is.

Montessori of Calabasas follows the principle of all Montessori schools, which is to put an emphasis on individual learning for every student. Free thinking is encouraged from an early age and from the infant classrooms on up thru first grade. Students may stay from 6:30am to 6pm every night, offering flexible scheduling and after-school care where independent research is encouraged throughout the day. Such complex and advanced skills as simple Spanish are taught each day in an enrichment activity, giving kids a huge head start on whats to come! Students from Montessori have even been proven to ask more provocative questions, turn in work on time more, and adapt to changing situations better later in life, proving that the personal time given really does make a difference.

Our infant daughter goes to Montesorri and has since she was 3 months old. We have loved every minute of our experience. The teachers are all wonderful and have such a caring attitude for the children. I highly recommend the school to others!

As the parent of older and younger Montessori educated children, I can offer a true review of what I consider to be a quality school. The education at M of C is tailored to the child, so if your child is advanced, they will expose her/him to the next level of academics. The teachers are approachable, professional, and deeply caring. It was after my initial interactions with the owners of this school, some time ago that my wife and I went into Montessori education ourselves. We value the confidence that Montessori instills in children. Teachers are at the core of the education and Calabasas has some of the best, with very low turnover. I highly recommend visiting the school and touring the facility. I would encourage you to drop in as time permits and speak to parents and teachers about their experience.

I would not recommend this place. I took my baby to this place after being convinced by the owner that this was the best. My experience, it was such a horrible experience. My baby was left in wet diapers every day, he had a diaper rash, that looked painful. He was always upset and tired all the time. The workers do not care. They have a poor attitude and always blame the parents for everything that goes wrong. they have poor excuses for when you ask questions. There were alot of other issues that I could talk about here but I would be here all day.Put it this way if you love your child and want the best for him or her, stay clear of this place.My baby is now in a much better daycare where he is taken care of and loved. No more diaper rash, he is much happier.From a concerned Mother

We have three children’s 6, 4 and 3. We pulled our 3yr old daughter out less than a year into the program. There are a number of reasons, very poor communication with parents (regarding anything about your child), very high attrition rate of staff/teachers, all these are concerns but once I saw a staff member publically shame a 2-3year old for soiling their underwear and changing them naked on the floor of the bathroom and forcing them into a diaper as punishment, I could not leave our child there for another day.I have tried looking up their license and owner information and am finding it almost impossible to find.Rather than the owner or a senior staff member reaching out, we were contacted by Donna a former employee “a friend of the owner and school” to mitigate the situation. Very bizarre.
