Ever since my first day on 7/22/2020 my experience about this school was excellent. Every school office staff member were very helpful and courteous . Every question I asked they went the extra mile to answer it. Specially all the teachers at the school yard Emmanuel, Manuel Fuentes, Hector they were very patient with me on my first week that I started to study and practice the exterior and interior of the trucks. I definitely will recommend my friends and family to be apart of this trucking school.

I’ve had a very bad experience with this school, DO NOT COME to this school to get your Bus passenger endorsement license! take your money somewhere else where they care about your education and help you finish getting your license. I was stuck here for 6 months since October of 2020 everything went good and smooth until the bus started having an air brake knob problem the first 2 months that had to be fixed. The school would fix it but it would keep braking down (the school purchased a bus with no air brakes system installed). Anyways the schools service was the same cycle with it being the lack of communication with the office assistants and the bus breaking down every time and not being able to finish my program with no sight of finishing. The training yard only has one passenger endorsement bus versus the dozen of trucks of class A there would be tight space to practice. In my opinion the school doesn’t care about the bus program at all they have no intention of making sure the bus was good to go they would delay fixing the problem, they pay more attention to their class A trucks because of this experience I’ve had im suing the school of what it put me through and for my money back to pay a school that will actually help me get my license. THINK TWICE BEFORE ATTENDING HERE !!

I am a recent graduate from Toro and finished the DMV on 8/5/20. I am very happy that I chose Toro as my school. My experience there was nothing but GOOD. The office staff have always been very nice & respectful. Always willing to work with me with payments and scheduling. Working full time during the day and trying to attend school, theyve always worked it out to not interfere with work. Thank you Ms. Maria, Ms. Lupita & Mr. Jesse for always being so helpful & understanding. Being at the yard was always good. Yes the training trucks are a lil old, but ive personally seen students bang up & crash these trucks. LOL. So its understandable. The instructors have always been very helpful in doing there best to help me learn. My questions were always answered & problems were always solved. Kelvin, Gustavo & Emmanual, thanks, you guys are awesome! When it came time to go to the DMV, Emmanual was on the sidelines hootin & hollerin & cheering us on. It felt good seeing how much they care. And after seeing other students from other schools who looked no where ready to be at the DMV and failing, it made me feel lucky, happy & very proud to have chosen Toro as my school. We had 2 students there that day, and we both passed on our 1st time there. So to all of you with the Toro Family. I cant thank you enough. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are trying to save money like I did do youre research first. Training you get 5min at a time hands on with no instructor helping you.second there equipment is old you try to practice your air brakes inspection and you cant properly do so because the trucks in the yard dont turn on. They have two newer trucks and you cant practice on them either.I just recently had my DMV appointment and both (new trucks) broke down on site couldnt even take my test. So people do your research first.

I would have given a zero or half of a star. Do not waste your time at this school. Unprofessional, their scheduling is awful for you to actually attend the classes at the yard. Instead of being there for a month or two, you’ll be at this school for much longer. Instructors are really good, but the office is awful. Quick to take your hard earned money, but slower than molasses to get you where you need to be in getting your CDL. Look elsewhere..

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I waisted mine and Im screwed. Its been a long time since I started here and still dont have my lisence. The instructors arent patient, they burly try to teach you once and dont bother asking twice cause youll probably have to pay them to get them in the mood to help you again. The trucks dont really work that well theyre from like 2 generations ago and aside from them not working they swap you turns with someone else right away so there isnt time to at least get used to them. You basically teach yourself there and by the time its your turn again its time for you to go home cause everyone leaves around 9 pm. My advice is to not waste your money here, you have a better chance elsewhere.

The truck you will test on at the DMV breaks all the time, and will cause you to fail and return another day to re-test. Review №61

Ill give them one star simply because i did get my license. My experience here was pretty bad, but there was good. Pros: guaranteed getting the license depending on how long it takes to teach YOURSELF, payment plans, flexible scheduling. Cons: beat up equipment, some of the instructors are rude and get annoyed when you ask for help and dont have patience to spend time helping you. Another pitfall is the actual practice time for example if you have 5 classes which should be a total of 5 hours you only get 15 minutes per hour of practice which in total equals 1 hour and 15 minutes for those 5 hours of wait time, the pre trip seemed good at the school but not that great to use at the dmv. The driving part is the worst you literally only get 5 to 7 minutes of drive time per class, again if your schedule says 5 classes which should be 5 hours your only getting 25 minutes of driving for the day. I had to pay and get private lessons outside of school to feel comfortable, which cost me about 400 dollars, and the school doesnt take you on the freeway either, keep in mind that at the dmv you will be on the freeway. What can you really learn in 5 minutes thats so pathethic in my opinion. When i did get to the dmv part i felt so nervous and unprepared. They are so disorganized at that school they literally gave me a week to prepare and only gave me 3 classes a day, thats nothing when you have an inspection, skills, and road test to take. What i thought was really stupid was the fact that once you pass your skills in the yard you get an inspection test, then you go to the street afterwards and during all of that time your not given practice on the skills until after you pass your final inspection, and are ready to go to dmv. They have two dmv trucks a white one and a red one which i thought were both cool but the white one is better, but most likely youll take the red truck, but back to what i was saying, they dont let you practice your pre trip or skills on the dmv trucks and you wont know which truck your gonna test in until the day of the dmv. I thought that was really stupid as well that i had to take a test in a truck that i wasnt used to backing up or doing a pre trip on i really dont know how i passed. I passsed on my 3rd try which for me was really embarassing because i knew that i didnt really learn much and had i been taught better and received proper instruction i would have at least passed on my 2nd try, but no excuses i own up to my failures regardless. In conclusion i heard things about this school before i went there and still gave it the benefit of the doubt but it turned out far worse than i could ever imagine. I left this school with my head up high tho because i knew that i had earned that license and that i had got all of the credit for my accomplishment, the only person i could really thank in the end was god. I started out going twice a week and towards the end i went monday through saturday and worked a full time job in the afternoon. It was a really stressful and exhausting 6 months but despite all of the odds i still did it and no one can ever take that away from me. P.S if you call werner enterprises and you tell them you went to Toro they will not hire you. if you dont beleieve me call them youself, the lady on the phone told me that i needed a refreshers course or that i needed to go to an accreditted school or work somewhere for at least a month before i tried applying again...
