Bunger is hands down the single greatest surf and skate shop. The service was unbelievable, the owner is the nicest person I have ever met in my life. The wide selection of surf and skate goods went above my expectations and you will never find something better than Bunger! The only good thing in New York.

The original is still the best.

These people are very honest. I was planning to go to Fire Island to surf for the day, and they advised me not to go to Fire Island due to the sand bars not breaking these days, and provided me an even better spot that was more convenient to get to. Most locals would push you away from the best local spots, and I greatly appreciate their honesty. Charlie is a very cool guy. Their shop rents boards and wetsuits, and the boards are decent, not foam boards.

Cool stuff, Nice people, Fair Price. Been shopping there since the 70s. Also took my 12 year old son to there surf camps. It work out great. He learned fast. He is into surfing now and less video games!

I had an awful experience trying to buy a custom board here. The owners (brother and sister) were not honest, nor did they conduct business with in good faith. My full length story is on yelp. Im quite sure their good rep was established by their elders (parents) prior to their take over.Shop elsewhere

Terrible customer service/communication. Ordered a board custom from there. Told it would be ready in 6 weeks- it was ready in 12. The colors I requested were totally wrong when I finally got the board. And THEN, they decided to make me another one and sold the original. Told me the new one would be expedited from 6 weeks to 2 weeks. Well, they called me 3 months later! True story. I kid you not. And btw, I asked around, and it just so happens the same thing happened to two other people. The kicker was that they claimed they called me and I ignored them. I offered to show my cell phone records to prove they were not on the call log they dismissed me- I was done with them and didnt want the new board based on principle... They kept my deposit! Amazing.... Dont do business with these people. They dont deserve your money. They make generic boards. After looking around more after they took my deposit I noticed more inventive and beautifully custom designs elsewhere. NYC Surf in the west village being one place

I had Bunger’s repair my board in August 2011, was surprisingly disturbed on sloppy repair especially the owner and his repetitive remarks on “what’s wrong”. As a Californian, quality surf repair is normally a given..however, people like this should not be running a business. Be aware!

THEY ARE THIEVES THEY RIPPED PEOPLE OFF IN PUERTO RICO DOING THE SAME HERE IN BABYLON.AND THEY CANT EVEN GIVE A SURF REPORT
