Did the engineering academy here, love it. Start it freshman year or you cant get in. unless thats changed. Did ROTC also, fun time made friends but youll move on after HS.

School is so overcrowded and cliquey. The teachers dont care about whether we learn or not. I cant talk to a teacher one-on-one. Its way to hard. The faculty is the worst with paperwork. The principles and counselors are rude and mean. The hall monitors give out referrals like its candy. McNeil is not the school I recommend.

Very overcrowded and disorganized. Principle is very rude to parents and students and has no desire to improve the campus. Lots of bullying and no plans to stop it. My boys were bullied by four football players at freshman orientation. They couldnt even go to their assigned lockers because of these bullies.Administrators and teachers arent focused on academics, too busy catering to football players and cheerleaders. If you or your child arent one, the campus has nothing to offer. We are transferring our boys to another school.

I personally think this school has its problems just like any other school.Since my son attends this school and finishing high school this up coming year Iam glad cause its been some trying moments for my son. What I have noticed at this school They do a lot of cover up so you want find out the truth what booster club is all about. If I had to do it over again my son will be some where else

I might be a little old now but I went to Mcneil High School, and for the high schools in Round Rock - i think this one is your best bet.

Ryan KellyMy Review of McNeil High schoolMy experience at McNeil high school was a great experience until 1 event occurred my senior year. This all happened when, the man, the myth, the legend John Yonker left McNeil for a better paying job. Mr. Yonker leaving caused wars to break out and a complete rebellion and civil war from the teachers in a hungry thirst for the power of the McNeil throne. McNeil split up into 2 major factions at the start of the war. The B wing C wing and athletics formed an alliance that we called the McNeil Union. The A wing, D wing and band formed the southern McNeil confederate alliance. Other teachers not in either alliance were used as mercenaries and supply posts for the union and confederate. A raging battle of flying pencils, instruments, and footballs broke out through all the halls. Early in the War the Union was able to break through the confederate lines and take control of the cafeteria, limiting confederate rations to almost nothing. The confederate struck back by taking control of the bus lanes and exits to Mcneil. The McNeil union was led by a brilliant commander named Coach Glenn Roberts and his top 2 generals were Generals Chris Cotten and General Emily Jensen. The Mcneil Confederate alliance was led by Commander Walter Lee, and his 2 generals were Ancelet and Dimiceli. The war finally came to an end when general Glenn Roberts of the McNeil Union sent a guerrilla squad out to be commander Walter Lees classroom was. The guerrillas held a permanent marker up to his tie and forced him to surrender. The war was fought for a tiring 4 months, and many grades and GPAs were lost throughout the war. The legend of the great McNeil civil war will be told and retold for generations to come.OVERALL RATING: 4/5

Principle lets the attendance officer run the school. They do not care about your childrens education. I will be looking for another school.

The only reason I keep attending classes is because I hope that the teacher will finally give in and we can watch 50 Shades of Grey in film class.
