If I could give this school 0 stars, I would. And if I can give any nursing advice: apply and go elsewhere, I would know, as I graduated from here. Here are some compelling reasons to look elsewhere: NCLEX pass rates for this school are dire. At 67% for one recent cohort (yikes). This school is also very very expensive, Platt is only private and nationally accredited (which means your credits will not transfer after you have started, look for REGIONAL accreditation schools like CU, Regis etc. Regional accreditation is the gold standard and transfers easily, national credits do not! Please Google and investigate the rate of student loans and the ability to repay them. Its bad, ranked top ten worst in the country! This school was ok when Holly was Dean. The new Dean has a joke of a PhD, cant do an ABG on the spot, and did not practice in the real nursing world for a reasonable period to be Dean of a nursing school. Thats when NCLEX rates plummeted, because of her. When some excellent and expert nursing teachers disagreed about appointing Jama to Dean, those teachers were fired. When Jama was my teacher, the answer key she graded everyone with was wrong, I was convinced of a correct answer (which we looked up together And I was correct! A math question which was clearly the right answer) and when I went in to talk to her about it to get credit back -she gave me full credit back and then told me not to tell my other classmates because she wasnt going to give everyone else credit back! (I told everyone of course). As you might have guessed, this school is highly political and many many students have to take classes over again, which fuels the idea that they dont care about you, youre just a number with a check.

The staff are dedicated and very knowledgeable! Their capacity is incredible for such a small college.

Koby Cox isnt a student, please see picture. The only college in the state where simulation isnt a learning experience but rather a pass or fail scenario. Failing equates to being forced to drop from your courses and retaking the courses again next qtr. Its all about money now that only a couple teachers who actually care are still around. Furthermore, when you fail the college will NOT explain the reasons via email or in writing. I have learned to not trust myself or anyone else as a result.
