There was a woman having a diabetic episode and needed crackers and juice, the owners told her she couldn’t sit and eat her crackers and juice and told her to go outside they were so rude and nasty to the nurse who tried to help. It was my first and last time ever coming here,

Havent been to Sam Verly in a long time. Use to get my regular cut and shape up. Also had the stylist to do coloring in my hair. Have to stop in an see whats going on here. Always a good experience when I visited.

I felt like my family was cutting my hair even though its a college they really make u feel like you are home

Potential Students/Customers give them a try! Read belowUPDATE: I returned yesterday 8/24/19 but was told in order to receive service Id first need to comb out and wash my own hair (which is long & thick) bc their students were unable to do it. Thats odd I thought to myself. I explained to the owner that I had been there before and was serviced with no issues. Actually one of THEIR STUDENTS washed and combed my hair and the instructor twisted it. I was told that instructor was no longer there. Ok. Thats fine but this school has predominantly Afro Amer students Im sure it would be no problem. Also if a Latina and an Asian STUDENT at another school (a month prior!) had no issues with my hair texture then surely Afro Amer students shouldnt smh lol. I left disappointed. I still believe they offer great customer service especially at the front desk and they were still professional etc. However I wont return if due to my hair texture Id have to do half of the job myself lol. The owner needs to have more confidence in the ability of her students and expose them to different hair textures - not everyone has thin hair lol. Again very disappointed. I returned bc I trusted them to do a great job and for the customer service. Well at least the customer service was still good lol smh.4 MONTHS AGO: I visited for the first time. As I walked in I was greeted by one of the owners. His customer service was great. He made me feel welcomed. This shop has great customer service. My wait wasnt long. The student who washed my hair was personable, professional and did a thorough job. One of the owners did my twist. I was more than happy with the results! She was friendly and also made me feel welcomed. I was also able to witness first hand her integrity (which is not easily found). The overall vibe of the shop was professional, and everyone seemed to be serious about their craft. This business is reminiscent of how I imagine Black Wall Street may had been. I will be returning. Give them a try.

I wanted to Learn the business of Barbering. I wasnt expecting to get all the other knowledge I gained while there. I was able to Learn about business as well. Valuable lesson that you dont normally get in a school setting. You also get treated like family. So if youre looking for an environment where you can learn and get a lil tuff Love. This is the perfect place. Everytime I stop by. They still greet with the same Love.

Trimmers stolen on third day and old dirty, different ones were returned. I advised her and she got upset because I sent an email about it. Extremely unprofessional, their helper, curses in front of clients and constantly uses the n word. They are a delusional pair.

I wish they were up to date and had online credit when you miss school because it makes you stay longer Ive been here for 16/ 1/2 month it was uposeed to be 9months and theres a lot of problems in the college people stilling your tools sorry be in have to tell the truth
