My 4 year old daughter is having an amazing experience doing dance classes here! The staff is so warm and friendly and they really connect with the children. I appreciate the safety measures they have taken during the pandemic. We are excited to be a part of this academy!

I signed my three year old up for the paid two week trial, to make sure she enjoyed it enough to permanently enroll. She loved it so I inquired twice about going ahead with enrollment and tuition. Both times I was brushed off by the front desk woman and told the owner would contact me to get us enrolled. It’s been over a month and still haven’t received that call.

My daughter is new to the studio and joined the Muses (pre professional program) this past year. She takes ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, conditioning, and yoga classes. Heather provides amazing instruction and choreography in her classes. She takes the time to work with each student, addressing individual needs to ensure improvements in technique.Muses students have opportunities to experience the professional world: warm up classes & interaction with Heather’s professional ballet company, master classes, field trips, and opportunities to perform at various places. My 12 year old now has an idea of what a “dancer’s life” is all about.After dancing at another local studio for 9 years, my daughter finally appreciates the art and history of ballet as well as gaining improvements in technique and a realistic view of dance since she joined the Muses at Terpsicorps.

Wonderful instruction. Highly focused on technique. Our dancer has made tremendous improvements and has been selected for prestigious summer intensives after moving to this studio. Appreciate the individual attention and emphasis on dancer development.

Great studio for dancers of all ages. My daughter (now age 11) has improved greatly in her 2 years here and loves the studio, all her teachers and fellow dance students. We checked out all the dance studios in town when we moved here and we were very happy with the choice we made. Heather is an amazing choreographer and she brings in accomplished professionals all the time to teach her students. The Academy offers some of the best dance instruction in Asheville.

I love this studio and the teachers. Heather Maloys choreography makes me work in many different ways that I thought I could never do. She has pushed me to be a better person and dancer. I loved being able to preform her work on stage for the last 4 years and excited to do more!

As the parent of a shy preschooler dancer at Terpsicorps, I could not be happier. My son attends Boys Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet/Pre-Tap. He looks forward to classes all week long and has made huge leaps with his motor skills, in following directions, in this social skills, and of course, is learning the basics to get him ready for ballet and tap classes. We also attend Parents Nights Out at Terpsicorps. These events are well-staffed, well-run, and a lot of fun for the kids.

They do not control the size of classes and allow drop ins. That combined with the fact that they dont have sufficiently sized facilities for larger classes meant that we were attempting to have classes in overcrowded conditions. Not one of their rooms has a fixed bar. The classes were too large leaving me crushed into a corner the majority of the time. The instructor could not pay attention to anyone, really, because there are too many people. She would cherry pick a few favorites that she liked but the rest of us were just lost. I really tried to make it work but this just left me frustrated.

My daughter has been a part of the Muses of Terpsicorps for the past four years. In that time I have seen a tremendous amount of progress in her technique and her maturity as a dancer. Heather Maloy is willing to listen to her goals and create opportunities for her to achieve them. This includes allowing my daughter to perform her own choreography in the preprofessional showing at the end of year.
