My 3 year old got a severe virus on her throat on the first day here, and ended up in the hospital. She had a fever when I picked her up and they didn’t even tell me anything. She even threw up on our way home. I asked for a refund since she had only attended for 2 days and they just refused. I unenrolled my daughter to this place as I felt they didn’t care for my daughter at all.

I absolutely love this school! I have two children there, one is 5 (been with this school since she was 6 weeks old) & the other is 9 months old. My favorite feature is that I can log on to the watch the cameras throughout the day and check on my children. My children’s teachers are all so nice, and detailed about their days. I feel comfort in dropping my kids off and know they are being taken well care of. My oldest has learned so much from this school, and they well prepared her for kindergarten. She now attends before and after school and loves to ride the bus. I would recommend this school!

So glad I chose this place! They are so patient with my child as he adjusts to being in daycare instead of with daddy all day. They really care and teach them! I also love love love being able to see my child at any point during the day. It makes me feel so much better that I can see he’s safe! The staff is great and my child is really blooming! I could tell he’s learning my day 3 and he’s so excited and happy when I pick him up! Great place to trust your kids!

We love Kids R Kids. Our 4.5 year old loves to learn and constantly talks about her teachers. Each day her teachers greet her with a smile and a warm welcome. She has grown so much and I definitely feel she is ready for kindergarten. Our 1.5 year has developed so much as well. My main focus the first year was that she felt loved and was put on somewhat of a schedule. Kids R Kids has more than exceeded our expectations on these areas. Now that our 1.5 year old is getting older she is learning so much. The other day I was reading the word “Apple” and I noticed that our 1.5 year kept repeating a motion. Turns out she was signing “Apple.” This is a true testament to the teachers hard work and dedication.

Maybe since the staffing changed and the facility got a new director this facility has taken a turn for the worst. Please beware! The appearance is wonderful!!!! Very nicely put together I guess that deserves the one star. I appreciated the concern of some of the teachers there for support of my school age son especially....this was the ONLY reason I had contemplated not removing my children from this facility but after a very short phone call with the director I made my final decision to remove my children. There was a situation the children had explained to me about a teacher hitting a kid the staff was fired but then I also saw the review of the parent who’s 3yr old was pinched and slammed down in a chair and not much was done by the facility. NOT GOOD didn’t sit well with me at all! & it was on CAMERA!!! The directors tone as we had a conversation was very unpleasant and Sarcastic which in my opinion was very unnecessary. My children had been complaining (again school age children ) that they wanted to go to a different daycare and that the director wasn’t really nice as I would say she was she relayed messages that should have come to me personally through them and the front staff all accept maybe ONE lady was always unpleasant. I stopped going in after a while it was a very bad vibe for me. My kids are enrolled in a new daycare and absolutely loves it! Again if you want to go for appearance have at it but you will get tired of spending your hard earned money to deal with rude staff and an uneasy mind of your child’s safety for sure.

My son, now 4 years old, has been attending this school since he was an infant. We had him in several places prior to hearing about Kids R Kids. Moving him there was the best decision ever! The Directors, staff, Teachers...and my most favorite school chef (who used to be a teacher) are all very loving and genuinely care about the kiddos. They have always given my son lots of special attention and affection and he needs that! I leave there every morning knowing he is safe and will be well cared for. As a mom....it doesnt get any better than that!

I am disappointed with the amount of incidents that occurred in less than a month of my child starting at Kids R Kids. The first incident my child was bit on the ear, and it left a mark that was visible. The second incident he was scratched on the face, and left scares on his face. The third was him getting into a fire ant bed that left bites on his legs and his arms. It took a week for me to receive an incident report for the third incident after I had to remind them I never received one. When the third incident occurred we decided it would be best to withdraw him. When I requested for a withdraw form and turned it in no one reached out for explanations to why. The fourth incident he fell off a tricycle, and left a bruise around his right eye. To be able to see a bite mark, scratches, bruises, and fire ant bites says to me there is too much of a time lapse between when the incident occurs and the reaction to the incident. I am aware that teachers cannot see everything and occasionally there may be incidents, but this is too frequent and the fire ants could have been prevented.Along with my son being there for a month I noticed a change in his behavior. His confidence went down after the second incident occurred. He no longer wanted to walk into the classroom on his own. He would hold on to me in the mornings and refused to let go (at his prior daycare he never did that). When he would see any of his teachers he would run to me as if he was scared. When the teacher would follow up about any of the incidents she would just say he handled it like a big boy. Did not tell me the situation or what they were doing, but only told me what happened to him (i.e. he was scratched by one of the kids). My sons class had 22 kids (including my son) with what appeared as 3 teachers at all times if not 2 teachers. On and off camera there was a lack of supervision and controlled environment inside and outside. There seems to be a disconnect with the office and the teachers. I never met the director or assistant director nor do they make their selves known. You have multiple people that sit at the front desk, but do not know who they are or what their title is.I feel that I and my child were cheated out of an opportunity for my child to get good care and a early education. This whole experience has been disappointing and upsetting, and the amount of incidents that occurred is unacceptable and inexcusable. No child or parent should have to experience this. I do and will always have high expectations for any child care that takes care of my child or any child.

Kids R Kids is more than a daycare. We have been enrolled for the last five years and the staff has become family. The owners are great and are involved at every level. We have found that this facility is a great value and more than prepares our kids for kindergarten. Our oldest daughter is excelling in kindergarten due to her preparation by her teachers. Our youngest has just started the program and is already learning sign language and is enjoying music makers as part of her curriculum. There is always enough hugs and smiles to go around and the food is healthy (and good too)!

Kids R Kids in Arlington/Mansfield is amazing! Our preschooler and almost 2 year old have been going there since 2014. It was great before the ownership change, but I honestly am loving the new look along with the other changes. We were super excited our daughter started preK when they got the TSR grant! The majority of the staff has remained the same all 4 years (especially the good ones) and our kids love going every day. Anytime there is an issue the staff is efficient, caring, helpful and makes our kids as well as us feel better. Weve had our daughter on the receiving end of a biter, and our son being the biter. We felt both situations were handled well. Our son also got his hand stuck in the door and Erin, as well as all other staff members were extremely helpful! She had our son in her lap feeding him lunch when we got there. He was completely happy and calm after a traumatic event! My husband and I feel any staff that was unprofessional or unfriendly is no longer employed there. Our daughter was reading and writing at turning 4, and our son is talking in broken sentences, knows colors, and counts to 10 at 19 months. Ms. Kate is amazing with the infants, we love her! Ms. Lisa took extra special care of both of our kiddos. But 95% of the teachers throughout the last 4 years have been awesome. Our son has a special place in his heart for Ms. Giselle! :)Ms.Erin does a fantastic job running things and all of the front staff is friendly, has a good sense of humor, gets things done in a timely manner, and are very helpful when needed. We will stay as long as our kids need care!!

They looked at me like I was an alien...In 2.5 year olds group there was an absolute chaos ... kids started pinching and slapping my son who was sitting in a stroller buckled up when we had a quick tour ...I don’t know - not a good feeling about the place...

I have been at this facility for about a month or so. The building itself is amazing. I love the ideas of the curriculum, how the teachers are to interact with the children, the security, the chef, and just the overall package of how Kids R Kids is sold to you. I am a bit stand off-ish, about how the staff truly acts with the children and/or parents. I am only pleasantly greeted by a very select few of the staffs members I am able to meet. I am informed by my children daily on what they have learned and at least 3 out of 5 days a week my kids tell me they just played, napped, and ate. For anyone considering Kids R Kids, I would recommend that they thoroughly check this place out before investing any money or their children in here. Always ask questions and if it does not feel right then this is not the right place for you. Do not just hop at whatever gold is glittering like I did. My son is diagnosed with Mild Autism. He is high functioning and can communicate and does not require one on one full time attention. He has been to Kids Lodge and Childtime each of which we patient and loving and he made friends there. The only reason he didnt go back was they had transportation issues to and from his school. This was not the experience at Kids are kids, it took one day for them to kick my child out of the after school program. Autistic children and adults deal with transition differently, he had a bit of a meltdown when they needed him to get off the bus. Considering he is 5 and has Autism, we figured a place referred by Autism Speaks would understand that patience is a virtue and to maybe let him get through the first day before giving up on my child....but this did not happen. They gave us a refund and told us they werent equipped...although they are FAR more expensive and supposedly better than the two daycares he attended previously. The look on his face when we picked him up said it all. He was white as a ghost. If you have a non special needs child, Im sure this place is great...but if your child is special needs...please skip this place...they arent equipped.

It saddens me that it comes to a point where I have to write a negative review regarding this facility. I just want to start by saying that children are innocent; and when you’re away from your child, you expect your child’s providers along with other staff at school to keep them safe. I was let down on two occasions and both teachers accused of mistreating my child are still employed here at this facility. The first incident that occurred, my son had expressed to me at Sunday dinner that his teacher hurt his hand. I addressed the accusation with Erin (The Director) and also Tracy Payne (The owner) who advised me that they could not see their teacher doing such a thing. So to keep me pacified, they moved my son up to the next class and had that teacher apologize. Since there was no evidence, I let that incident go. The last incident that occurred, my son immediately told me after picking him up from daycare that his teacher pinched him (his words) and till this day that is his same story and has not changed a word! I again, reached out to the director who told me for the second time that she could not see her teacher doing such a thing. Not being satisfied with that answer, I then contacted the owner to see if we could set up an appointment to view the camera footage. I was told that I would have to come that same day because the video footage deletes itself after midnight (how ironic). So my husband and I go to the facility and the director (Erin) and the owner (Tracy) are there with the footage already pulled up to the appropriate time stamp being that my son was very detailed about the incident and timeframe in which it happened. As we watched the video, you can clearly see the teacher grab my son to forcefully put him in his chair and push the chair in and as this is happening you see my son instantly lean over to grab his side to rub the area while crying and talking as he explained to us he was telling the teacher “that wasn’t nice.” I also showed them a picture of what was left of the bruising he obtained from being pinched by his teacher. This video was very hard for us to watch and even brought tears to my eyes. After watching it a total of 5 times, I was advised by the director and owner that the video did raise a concern to them and that they would handle it first thing in the morning. My husband and I were under the impression that we were all on the same page before leaving this meeting! When I showed up the next morning to take my son to school the teacher was present. I pulled the owner (Tracy) to the side to see if there was any updates. She stated that she will be questioning her and other teacher that was present. I finally received a call around 1:15 pm, letting me know that she had spoken with the teacher, the teacher stated that she did not do such a thing. She felt that based off of the teacher coming into work and not being afraid to talk to her, that she believes her! She also made a statement that if she listened to every complaint a parent or child had, she would be left with no staff. At 3 years old all you know is that someone is “mean” to you if they’re doing things the child doesn’t like or making the child behave, but due to the fact my son did not express how mean his teacher was but that she pinched him is all the more reason for you to not go off what you can’t see a person doing. We can’t see people becoming mass murderers but it happens and we ignore the signs. I say that to say ALL the innocent deserves justice. How does my son get justice when it’s him (a 3 year old) against 3 adults? What’s the point in having cameras in your facility? Now it’s his word against theirs being that the video footage deletes itself after midnight. I have since gotten licensing involved which should have been done from the beginning by the director but wasn’t, and now I’m praying for justice for my son. Parents please protect your children and talk to them about school daily. You must know what is going on with them throughout the day, cameras couldn’t even protect my son.

Too many issues during the time our baby was there. My husband and I had several concerns during the time our little one was enrolled and decided to pull him out. Them having streaming cameras there gave us good insight on what went on. One of the things that concerned us was that the caregivers changed frequently in the rooms my baby was in. I found a few instances where a caregiver was heating my babys breastmilk to an extremely hot temperature which of course causes it to lose its nutrients. The only reason I discovered this is because I picked him up earlier than usual a few times. At first, thought maybe an accident but it happened every other time thereafter until I said something. I feel that if she didnt know, then others may not either and possibly had been done entire time, so that is a training issue. I had concerns that my baby did not get enough interaction from caregivers. Some would leave babies in beds, jumpers, or swings and sit in rockers and talk with each other. I also had to bring up concerns that workers were not abiding by their own no shoe policy or not having parents take off shoes in the infant rooms not or leaving them at the door. I brought this to the attention of directors and managers several times. One of the managers was one not adhering to the policy and for me, that was an issue because the no shoe policy was something we practiced at our home and was a top reason we chose Kids R Kids in order to minimize being exposed to the filth on bottoms of shoes and my concerns were disregarded for a while. I had to say something several times before change was made. Upon pick-ups in the afternoon, my little ones nose would be encrusted with dry mucous or running almost everyday. I even offered to bring extra wipes to make sure his nose was clean. It took a while for them to start cleaning his nose. I also noticed a disproportionately large amount of babies wearing helmets in infant rooms needed to correct the shapes of skulls. Ive visited and had my older son in daycares when he was young and never have I seen any let alone that many babies needing to wear helmets. Even my little one was developing a bit of flatness in the back of his head and my husband and I did NOT leave him on his back at home long periods of time to contribute to this. Ive watched my baby fall back and head hit the hard floor while a support pillow was around him. He laid there crying and I actually witnessed caregivers walk right over him as he cried from head pain and no doubt the uncomfortable arch caused by the pillow being behind his back. Someone should have been within arms reach with babies who were supported sitters. I had to actually call the daycare to ask them to pick my baby up off the floor before they did! Him falling back happened 3 times. This goes back to me seeing most workers talking with themselves throughout the day, leaving babies in cribs, and not engaging enough with them. I noted workers putting my baby at the time 4 months old in jumpers and the assisted sitting chairs. Both devices are not recommended for babies that age. I had to make mention of that and again, it seems that if they are in the business of caring for babies, they should be aware of age-appriopriate things. I had to have my babys pediatrician send them a letter inform them this was not developmentally appropriate for a 4 month old who was not yet sitting up on his own nor did he have good control at the time. I had to ask them to give him more tummy time and not just leave him in a pillow on the floor. Again, some workers we loved, but I feel most were not well trained in caring for infants and small children. So thats a management issue. My husband and I also didnt get good vibes from all the workers at the front desk so it made it hard for us to feel good about the people responsible for caring for our child. Ive seen the influx of recent generic posters raving about the faciilty but my review sites very specific instances. For me, that gives a clear picture of daily happenings there.

Many people told me I would not be happy with any daycare because I wanted to stay home with my child. We now have another child at KRK and there is no other daycare I could ever envision us using. Both children have learned so much and bonded with their teachers at KRK. The worst management ever. I was looking for care for my infant and as soon as i arrived at the door the management was rude there was no door bell so you are just waiting for someone to come to the door, but they dont instead they yell at you THE DOOR IS OPEN. Then when you enter there are three ladies at the desk and not one of them introduce themself to you and you have to tell them what you are there for, after that they tell you they dont have room for an infant that there is a waiting list and then you ask can you still tour the room and they tell you NO rude as can be thei reason behind that cause its naptime, which i understand but im pretty sure you have windows. They didnt explain nothing about the school and told me I can schedule a tour to come back between 7am-1130am. My 13 month old son has been going to KRK since he was 3 months old. The first few days dropping him off almost killed me but I am so glad I stuck it out! The staff here is AWESOME. They are so warm with the kiddos and know the ins and outs of each of them. I am lucky enough to be able to spend every lunch break visiting with my son at KRK. The lunch they provide the kids actually looks and smells good! I have never seen a teacher lose their composure with a child. They give hugs and kisses galore! There is some fun activity almost every day (and you get pictures!), and art projects every week! The rooms are kept clean and organized. The owners are awesome as well and know every child (and most parents!) by name. Most mornings, Mr. Bill greets everyone at the door while holding his cup of coffee. So the staff is what keeps us at KRK but the facility is what got us in the door initially. The cameras are awesome (especially since the upgrade recently!). As a worry-wart mom, the cameras provided me with a sense of accountability. I knew I couldnt watch 24/7 but knowing the teachers were aware that someone COULD be watching at anytime made me feel a whole lot better. The glass walls are nice too. At first I thought it may be a distraction but that hasnt been the case. In reality, it just increases the number of eyes that can see whats going on in the classroom. In order for something terrible to go unnoticed, all parents must not be watching the camera and all staff (including the teachers in the neighboring classrooms) would have to not see it, or turn a blind eye. Pretty low odds! The playgrounds are superior to any other daycare I toured and they even have a splash pad! The kids LOVE it.Being in the childcare industry has got to be tough. These people take care of hundreds of the most special little people and I, for one, think they do a bang up job. I am sure there will always be an unhappy parent or two (see previous poster) but keeping realistic expectations in mind, I cant see this place warranting anything less than full stars!

We have been a part of the Kids R Kids family for almost 7 years – I call it a family, because that is what it is, hands down. We have never felt the love and compassion for our girls at any other facility the way we do at KRK. My oldest started attending when she was almost a year, she is now 7 and my youngest has been there from 6 weeks of age, she just turned 5. The KRKs family is a unique one, one where the staff truly loves the kids, wants to teach them and help them grow. Having kids in daycare, I get asked many times where we send them – My answer remains the same – No reason to look any further than KRK’s.I struggle with the negative comments on this page as I find it hard to believe that there would ever be a lack of interaction from the teachers. At one point we thought about having a family member watch the girls, but decided it was worth the investment for our girls to have the daily interaction with teachers and friends. My oldest still has a few teachers there that she can’t wait to visit when special occasions rise and she rides along to pick up her sister. She also insists to inviting them to her birthday – she loves them and they will always hold a special place in her heart. I know this will hold true to my 5 year old that will be “graduating” next year.Ok, I know – enough with the touchy-feely stuff… KRK also prepared my daughter for Kindergarten, actually, she was ahead of the class. Same goes for my youngest, I can tell by the activities she’s bringing home and her current writing level that she too will be ahead of the game.KRK also includes all the extras in its tuition – something that is not the norm. for other daycares and KRK is still more cost effective all around. I find this important for a couple of reasons – it includes all the kids in each classroom not excluding those that can’t afford the extra cost for additional activities. Also, I think it’s important to have music, sign language, physical activities, etc. as a regular part of their curriculum. Speaking of extras – we cherish the yearly Christmas program, Thanksgiving feast and family nights, to mention a few.The owners, directors, staff and teachers take their jobs seriously, they are a team that is passionate about your kids and their growth.

Daughter attended KidsRKids (#54) Nov-Dec 2013. Classroom consisted of 18+ kids (18-24 mth). After two weeks we decided to withdraw our child due to the lack of teacher interaction, lack of teacher supervision, limited resources, multiple inaccurate daily sheets and behavior changes.Lack of teach interaction with kids: Based on our observation 77.3% of the time the kids played without any teacher interaction (Free Play, no structure). 15.7% of the time the kids were engaged in learning activities (cognitive, language, arts, etc.) with the teacher. 7% of the time the kids were engaged in physical activities (bubbles, dancing, jumping, etc) with teacher involvement.. .. Ex: 1) Teachers walked around picking up toys or sitting in the corner 2) Daughter takes drum to teacher. Teacher begins to play the drum & within a few seconds other kids surround the teacher & within seconds the teacher gets up and walk away.Lack of teacher supervision: Exp 1) Daughter walked around with one shoe for 4 hrs. Teacher said she put her shoe on the counter and forgot to put it back on. 2) Daughter sitting next to teacher and a boy continues to ride truck into her. 3) Lights off in room 2hrs past nap time. 4) Teachers would not remove kids sitting on top of bookcase. 5) Cameras are grainy but my daughter has a tell-tell sign when she cries. There was no consolement or attempt to get her involved in activities during her first few daysLimited recourses (18+ kids): With 18+ kids having one toy/tool creates an environment of pushing and aggression in order to get involved in the activities. (chaos). Exp: 1) Pulled out one crawl through tunnel for all 18+ kids. Just imagine 18+ kids trying to go through one entry point of a play tunnel.Multiple inaccurate daily sheets : You can’t rely on the information in your childs daily report sheet...Exp: 1) Sheet said she sleep from 11:30-2:18pm. I saw her awake at 1:23pm.. 2) 6 of 9 days had diaper changes spanning 4 +hrs without a change. 3) You can’t trust the photos you receive of your child. I received a picture of my child playing with bubbles. At the time the picture was taken we saw our daughter standing back as the kids pushed to get to the bubbles. She was not involved in this activity and the teachers didnt do anything to get her involved. However, based on the picture you would think she was having fun playing with bubbles.Behavior Changes : My child had biting & hitting incident reports written against her. Concerned so I visited her old daycare to determine her behavior there. The Director at previous daycare said they never had any bad behavioral issues with her. Contacted my Pediatrician and she says this occur sometimes because of lack of supervision from the teachers.Miscellaneous: Exp. 1) Daughter would not go to sleep. Teacher forced daughter down. Wrapped her arms in blanket and held the blanket so she couldnt get loose until she went to sleep. I quickly contacted the Director and she said I told the Teacher it was ok to do this, REALLY!!. I contacted my Pediatrician and she stated A child of 18 months should not be restricted and/or forced down to go to sleep. When I finally made the decision to withdraw my child I meet with the Director. I told her that I would like to share the data collected and review a few incidents. Nevertheless, she stopped me before I could even get to the data and said she was aware of the issue. At that point I had mixed emotion. I was shocked that she was too proud or thought she had such a great handle on things that she didnt need to review the information I had available. Stunned to the point where I didnt know where to proceed with the meeting. It was also disheartening because I was so impressed from the tour and it appears as if these problems were going on then. It seems has if they continue to sweep things under the rug and portray this image of higher learning which is not accurate........Wish goggle allowed more characters so I could elaborate.....
