We transferred to Barnett mid year and so far it has been the best choice I have made for my son. The counselor Mrs. Garcia is the absolute best. She has a heart of compassion and truly loves what she does. My son has never been so happy about school. Thank you Barnett Junior High!

As a previous student to this school, I really only give it 2 stars because of the way things were. Absolutely no connection to the principle or the vice principle, along with leading kids along (not the type in a relationship) with a special gift, was really just them using you as arm candy for the schools reputation. I was accepted to Arlington Collegiate, and my special gift was simply them showing off the students that got accepted. Not only that, but this school is quite... bad. Numerous fight break out, and the attitude in general is bad.The academics are quite bad as well. I didnt learn anything in my Algebra 1 class. I will say, however, that some teachers truly do want the best for the students.But there is favoritism. When I wore a dress to school, the bottom was just barely above the knee. A teacher, who wasnt even my teacher, commented with this, I know someone told you something about that dress. Now, Im not a type of person who regularly wears dresses. In fact, the only reason I did was because I had an interview for the school I currently go to. The teacher had remarked it in a very sarcastic and snotty voice. Other female students have worn _shorter dresses_, ones that were up to their thighs, however, I was stopped?I believe that is completely unacceptable.If you wish your student to not go through horrid things, then I suggest not sending them to this school.

Barnett is under the strict hold of the principal currently teaching there. In some cases, this is good. But in many ways, this is very bad. Most teachers dont have a say in the way students are handled. When I attended Barnett in my first year the school started every day with music and the decisions that were made by the teachers were very helpful. After all they dint want to leave any students behind. Then in my second year, the music stopped and it was like the teachers no longer had control in the classrooms. We were no longer able to leave our advisorys to make up work and make up tests. We werent even able to use the bathroom. All in All Barnetts atmosphere has decreased dramatically over the years and I fear that it is getting worse in years to come.

I had to use the restroom and the student teacher said I had to wait for the teacher to come back and she NEVER DID!!! I sat in the class with afull bladder for the enitre class and when she came back there was only 5 minutes left and we have a stupid policy saying we cant leave with inly ten minutes left and class and I just had to pee.

Some of the kids are ok, but others act like overprivileged brats and tell you your so rude so I hope that’s only a small amount of students.#hopeit’sbetterAlso most are those mic squeakers in video games

Its tolerable, the preceptors are greatest just the students, they arent handled immensely well, there are many altercates too

Great school getting ready to go there 4 7th grade my older sister just left the school to go to 9th grade she said every thing about it is amazing as long as u know how to hold ur tongue can wait to start bear camp next week though will definitely miss mrMiller ms mahan and ms roe bye guys 😊😊😊😊

The only reason as a attending student to this school I am not that Best here if you are not in any sort of drama or have done something that has got you in trouble then your pretty much a sitting duck kids who attend here are rough always willing to get into a fight being disrespectful to the teachers and as a 7th some 8th graders look like theyve been held back once or twice Im not that tall so am picked on there is always someone in trouble an a little side note some teachers dont even care about some of the students education to even bother so all in all if you want your child to get an education the right way dont send them here

Its a good school i hate that I have to leave it this summer Im in 7th grade and I am going to my dads for 8th
