I am very happy to have found a school in Alaska that actually gives you hands on training. Aaron gives you first hand knowledge of the industry from top to bottom. He teaches you what to expect and how to react in real life nail salon scenarios. After taking my class here at Alaska Nail & Skin, I have full confidence that I will be prepared to go straight to work in a salon.Aaron is very experienced in both nails and teaching. He is very easy to get along with and easy to learn from. I have gotten a good amount of 1 on 1 time but he also gives you the space you need to practice and perfect the techniques he teaches without feeling rushed.I am doing continued education classes with him after my state board test to better help prepare me for a job at a salon. I would have probably had to do an apprenticeship for 2 years if I had not found this school. Well worth it to enter the industry with confidence!

Best decision I have made in a long time!The Owner/Instructor at Alaska Nail and Skin Academy is a treasure. He is very passionate about safety and the industry as a whole.Not only does he share his own expertise; but he provides demonstrations from other professionals in order to broaden horizons. He is always available (and willing) to answer questions.Unlike some other courses of education where you are placed in a corner and told to read a book, Aarons classes are a mixture of reading, lectures and hands-on learning.I truly believe he wants each and every student to succeed and excel; and he works to make it happen.

Im a former graduate of Alaska nail and Skin Academy. I completed my first course in October of 2017 and I came back a second time for the 250hrs course. There are so many wonderful things to say about this school & the instructor himself. I love the fact that we learn all things in the nail industry. The list goes on and on of what we were taught in school. Aaron is absolutely the best instructor Ive ever had!!! He genuinely wants to see all of his students succeed. He teaches us the school way according to the textbook but he also teaches us what to expect in the professional salon environment with the current trends and techniques allowing us to have the knowledge of both worlds so we are better prepared for the professional work environment. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone & everyone whos looking to start a career in Nails & Esthetics. And another thing, a school is school but by the time my course was complete my classmates and instructor became more family to me because of the positive atmosphere.
