This elementary school lacks the basic institutional structure needed to educate and facilitate the children, which reflects on the quality of management at this school. It has been my experience as a parent attending programs or events, that there is always some form of admission at these events. Moreover, these events are poorly organized. I express my argument based from experience. I have attended programs better organized and resourced than what is conducted at this school.I attended a play yesterday (6/8/18) evening, at the Lehigh Parkway elementary school. The management failed the kids last night. The whole process was disorganized from the start. Kids are not to blame and their individual performance was not the problem. As a parent sitting in the auditorium and observing the poorly executed process at the start, it was clear that the adults (tax paid salaries school administrative and other paid agents) did not give the program the same hard work time I experienced attending other successful programs. Disorganization was the fruit of labor that Lehigh Parkway elementary school served to parents last night. The school principle oversight on these programs should raise concerns. Myself and other parents sending their kids to this school expect the same allocation of time management, resources, and dedication from the people who collect tax-paid salaries for running or assisting in any job function for any school in any district. So, lets talk about what happened last night(6:00PM-800PM). Lehigh Parkway elementary school had the parents inside an auditorium where the temperature was over 79 *F with no centralized or commercial unit air-conditioning. There was a $2.00 admissions, but no information provided regarding where this collection was going to be allocated to. Im just saying, maybe taking the parents money and using it towards the schools energy finance would be a start. You know, so that parents and kids dont have to sit in the dead heat attending a paid program. While parents sit waiting for the program to begin, the principal and persons in charge of last nights program can be seen too buisy socializing with eachother off to the side. The last successful program I attended, Im certain that the program had several leaders go on stage and speak clearly addressing the parents with well organized direction and discussed the future achievements that are planned. The socializing between them was so bad, that they lost sight of the kids. At one point of the play, the kids where tossing around the mic, repeating, and reading the same verse/script. Where was the management? Off to the peripheral vision, management was too buisy socializing and it wasnt until 3/4 of the repeat/rewind play option that they realized the play was sounding like a broken record. Disorganization continued before one of the management took action and finally moved out from socializing and moved backstage to help the kids.I enjoyed watching the kids give their best performance, but was disheartened by how the adults running this program had not prepared these kids. I was not impressed with the outcome. Furthermore, it is unexceptable for any elementary school to opperate at the level Lehigh Parkway conducts itself. How are they resourcing the collections from events? Many other schools, institutions, and corporations can manage and allocate resources efficiently, where events such as plays or family picnics are free of cost. These institutions and corporations operate with higher quality management, because the people selected to manage and hold top positions are better organized.Leadership will be quick to jump on stage and speak about how they think their operations are a success. In that same manner, the leadership at Lehigh Parkway elementary school needs to relize the poor leadership that exists and make efforts to walk with the same excellence managed in many other schools across this nation. Lehigh Parkway leadership owes an apology to its kids and parents.
