I attended Mark Keppel High School back in the 70s. It is a great High School. All staff were truly caring towards all students needs. Although myself, I had 2 classes of P.E a day, not realizing this was going to hurt my goal of graduating in 1978. No councellers had called me in for a talk about My classes & the requirements for graduation. I should have been more aware of my choices & what classes I was leaving out of my curriculum as this did hurt me in the long run. The school is a Fantastic one & used to be a bomb shelter too. That made a person feel safe in their surroundings there for sure.

The administration at this school needs to make a bigger stance against bullying. In the recent class of new freshmen there have been various students that have already been relentlessly bullied by 3 sophomore girls, even going as far as physically assaulting one. Administration has done nothing. Restraining orders had to be filed against the awful girls, but yet they remain in school! The kids are going to school every day afraid for the well being because these girls are sending messages to their victims via a boy who is in cohorts with them. Some parents have decided to transfer their kids to other schools because administration has done nothing. Yet these miserable bullies remain! There should be NO TOLERANCE for BULLYING. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with this insensitive and incompetent administration at this school. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!

I never went to high school often, but i would always show up early to kick it with my homies and then go back for lunch to get the tuna roll. Even though it was seaweed and canned tuna. I also went at a time when the AC wouldnt work, so if i did go to school after lunch i would fall asleep.

Keppel is a good school, if it werent for the teachers that make rude comments to students and students who have absolutely no spirit, get some salad tips from arroyo high school . their salad is amazing

The new gym has a nice indoor basketball court and it has air conditioning.

Many bad teachers, only few thats really really good, but some of them are just not teaching, they doesnt give any homework or doesnt teach, dont send your kids there, San Gabriel high or Alhambra high will be a better choice, I dont know why they mark keppel rank higher, maybe because the clubs, but the teacher are just bad.
