Katie and I did our wedding lessons here and loved it. We cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed the whole process and everyone we worked with throughout our 10 lessons. We started off as clumsy and barely coordinated, but were able to create a wonderful dance together. Shannon, TJ, and Heather were also outstanding about helping us make actionable improvements during each lesson. I had a vision to start off dancing poorly with a slow song, and then have it transition to a faster song where we surprise our guests with a choreographed dance. They helped support this vision and made it even better than I ever intended. If youre thinking about doing dancing lessons for your wedding, make an appointment with them. You will quickly find out it how great of an idea it is.

I’m what some might call a diamond in the rough. A dancing diamond that is. I’ve been known to shut down a dance floor for a variety of reasons (both good and bad), but after attending a themed guest party at FADS and coming in for a private lesson I knew that dancing was going to become more than just a weekend hobby.I was lucky enough to be paired with the wonderful Valentina. As my instructor, she helped coax me out of my comfort zone and grow my confidence and passion for dance as well. She also went above and beyond by imparting me with transferable skills that can come in handy beyond the dancefloor. I can’t thank her enough for taking me along on this journey at a pace that was appropriate for me–no matter your skill level she will get you where you need to go in a way that makes you feel at ease and empowered. I believe a headstrong and fierce leader such as herself along with the rest of the amazing staff at Fred Astaire are consummate professionals.It has truly become a life-changing experience and life-long hobby–I can’t thank her enough for not only the dance lessons but life lessons! She cares and wants to pull the greatness out of each and every one of her students. It really makes you want to come back for more every day!

Great place for beginners to advanced dancers! The instructors are encouraging and fun!

Energetic people. Passionate about what they do, and willing to help you find your place in the ballroom dance world. Not to mention, huge ballroom, full time (certified) instructors, and practice parties (acting as training wheels) so you don’t have to go from your lesson straight to the real world!! If you’re interested in learning how to ballroom dance, I’d strongly suggest going somewhere where their priority is making you the best you can be!

Friends brought me to a guest party and after a few lessons I was hooked. Now I am close to two years of dancing. I have learned so much from my teaches--a new way to move and express myself. The students and staff at the studio are like family. Come join us!

The first 30 minutes of our night was great. Everyone was so nice, and really delightful! We signed up for a 2 class deal because we have never danced....EVER. We thought it would be great to go those couple of times and see how we felt and take it from there. 30 minutes in a man tries to sell us packages and we try to politely say we werent planning on signing up for something quite yet, we were under the impression we would get these 2 classes for $40 and can decide from there. We were essentially told we couldnt come back for the second class without signing up for a package and then kind of shoved out. It was really embarrassing. We felt shameful, like we had done something wrong. Our instructor was good to us the entire time, she never stopped being polite, but who I assume was the owner walked away and seemed very angry and irritated. I guess I get it, but I also dont. They shouldnt falsely advertise for a 2 class program that doesnt actually exist. We would have been more inclined to sign up for something had we not been harassed and made to feel worthless.

Some staff here was coercive. I understand using marketing as a hook to get new people in the door, but once my fiance and I attended the 30 minute private lesson, the coercion began. The trainer spent 15-20 minutes convincing us to spend a minimum of $1,000 to prepare for our First Dance. The packages went up from there! If we wanted to be You Tube Worthy we could spend $2,000. When it was clear we were not going to commit on the spot to the equivalent of cost we were spending for 30 guests to attend the reception on our big day, they sent in the manager.Vance told us we could buy one of the three packages or we could choose to embarrass ourselves doing what he termed as the High School Sway for our first dance. What a racket!!!
