Best driving school that I attended. I took adult driving lessons and I had John and Shannon as instructors. They are nice, friendly, kind and patient. Best experience ever! Sorry John for adding some grey hair 😂

Mr. Pitner is an exceptional driving instructor! I learned so many different things and he explained things in a way that made perfect sense! Before my driving lessons with him, I lacked the confidence I needed to be out on the road on my own. However, now I’ve gained the confidence I needed and I’m excited to get behind the wheel.This is definitely the best driving school. If you’re thinking about it, definitely try it out!

Im taking the private adult courses and my instructor was the kindest man ever! He gave me excellent tips to help me with my skills and the best part was how calm he was even if I made a mistake. I no longer feel nervous on the road. Im very comfortable and with a few more lessons Im well on my way to a license! Highly recommend 🤗

I had a great experience with them. The instructor is calm, knowledgeable and makes the lessons an experience to look forward to. He goes over techniques and best practices in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand manner.

I must say this was the best decision. I did not have to deal with the anxiety of teaching my son to drive, it get to practice with him.

Courteous and professional instructors. I tried to teach my son to drive but it was difficult to get him started. I used the techniques I used to teach my older son. I decided to call Pitner. My baby was driving after just the first lesson. They provided updates after each lesson and told my son what to work on for the next time. Final lesson they provided a summary and what we should continue to work on with him. Money well spent. Highly recommend.

Driving with Mr. Pitner was a wonderful experience. I was able to learn all the basics of driving in one lesson. He went over my weaknesses and worked with me to correct them. If you are not sure in certain techniques, He continues to go over that area until you get it. In critical moments, Helps you make decisions on your own when turning in traffic. Overall, I enjoyed working with Mr. Pitner and will highly recommended you come and give it a try!

Anxiety had me on the first day but thank God Mr. Pitner changed all that for me. He was very patient and explained everything I needed to know. I didnt know I could go on the road that early with such little experience but he made it happen. It boosted my confidence and now I look forward to all my classes with him. I must say if you are looking for a driving school with patient, professional and knowledgeable instructors, Pitner is the school to be!

Pitner is a very calm and knowledgeable learning experience. At first I was nervous but after 10 minutes I began to relax and not be so much in my head. Mr. Pitner is very reassuring and positive!

Excellent Teachers, Super helpful. I never knew how to drive before coming here. Now I can confidently get on and off the interstate, and drive on the surface streets, etc.

The preparatory class was informative. You didnt feel shamed if you didnt know the answer. Excellent instruction in class and driving.. When I was taking the driving course was not yelled at for any mistakes. Was reminded of right way to do things. After each session was asked if I had any questions and if I did they were answered. I would recommend this school for any who are nervous about driving or even if you need a refresher.

My 16 year old grandson just completed driving lessons with Pitner Driving School. His driving skills have improved considerably, as well as his confidence. I was given continuous progress reports. I now have a much better sense of what my grandson actually knows, which translates to a better peace of mind for me! It was an overall great experience.

My instructor was Shannon Sr.I took the adult private lessons.In 3 lessons I went from barely knowing how to steer and operate a gas pedal to confidently feeling as though I can do anything on any road, safely.In the beginning 15 or so minutes I was skeptical about the class as a whole. I felt it was moving much too slow and was worried that we may have made a mistake, however I could not have been more wrong. Mr. Pitner was only getting a feel for my skill and confidence as well as giving me time to get accustomed to the car. The moment that he felt I was capable and knew I was ready, I was on the road. Even so, he was always ready to brake or make quick adjustments to the wheel when I made mistakes.I think myself to be a somewhat anxious person, but between his jokes, thorough explanations, and BEAUTIFUL hand-drawn diagrams, what is normally a very nerve-wracking experience was made easy for me.Throughout his teaching, you really get a sense that you are working with a true professional and not just some guy with a car that has two brakes. Theres some things that only someone who has been doing this for years will think to explain to you.Dont expect a boring instructor, and you wont ever be able to get his visual metaphors out of your head. 10/10. Would recommend to anyone I know, and it was worth every penny.

Great experience !!! I signed up for adult driving lessons and was able to start the next day. I had very little road experience before but Mr. Pitner senior is an amazing instructor and artist as it turned out. We were able to accomplish all the major aspects of driving in 6 hours! He noticed and made sure I practiced the areas I was weak at and made even parallel parking easy. Overall, the lessons were informative, relaxed and fun. Thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Pitner Driving School. I appreciated my instructors emphasis on mastering the basics and breaking down situations like turns and lane changes in a simple manner. I would highly recommend this school for learners of all ages :).

Before I took the Pitner Driving School class I was a very uncomfortable driver and did not enjoy it. However, after completing the course, I now love to drive and am very comfortable at the wheel. Our daughter just finished the summer class of driving school. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for driving lessons for teens. The class and driving instructors did a fantastic job. They are very helpful and accommodating. She drove with Mr. Pitner and had the best time. They care about their students. Pitner Driving School is the best choice in Memphis or surrounding areas!

If I could give 10 stars I would! From first contact through final delivery the folks at Pitner Driving School epitomized the concept of excellent service delivery. They are customer focused and the quality of their instruction, both on the road and in the classroom was awesome. Three years from now they have earned my repeat business. What more can I say?

I took classes as an adult, a foreigner coming to US a couple of years ago. Shannon Jr. listened carefully to my requests, and couldnt have come up with a better instructor, Shannon Sr.!!! Shannon understood that I needed some time to get used with the car, speed (I used to get dizzy while driving with 20 miles an hour) and explained to me new rules every time we met for a lesson and practicing parking in different situations almost every day. It was worthy for me the fact that I work quite close to the driving school, so Shannon could come and pick me up from work. In a month (I think) I got my drivers license and a car! I am driving every day and I am getting better every day. Shannon, thank you for starting this school and for having so much patience with your students. I wish you all the best!

I had private adult driving lessons and my instructor was very knowledgeable and helped me out quite a bit. I think if it wasnt for my driving lessons then maybe I couldve ended up in an accident by now. After my lessons I felt very confident with driving and now I just take it a day at a time.

I took this class at a community center this summer to get some driving experience since my parents arent around much to teach me. I already had my permit, so the classroom part was mostly things I already knew; however, it was refreshing and Mr. Hubbert was an excellent teacher. I did not have an enjoyable experience with one of my driving instructors. He was an older man and he asked me if I got practice at home and I told him I didnt. He seemed frustrated about that but the whole reason I took this class was because I needed HIM to help me. He would yell at me a lot and critiqued me harshly on every little thing I did. It was obvious he was very uncomfortable with me driving and that made me feel uncomfortable, so I didnt drive so well with him. He had me pull over to a donut shop so he could get something to eat and I went inside with him and sat down with him so that we could talk about my driving and he told me to sit at another table away from him. I was upset about that but I did anyway. We got back to the car after he ate and I asked him what I can improve on and he just said, The stuff that were working on right now. He was really unclear and unhelpful. After another hour or so of me nervously driving and him acting like Im trying to kill him, we got back to the community center and he just ranted and ranted and ranted for 5 minutes straight about all the things I did wrong. I felt like I gained nothing from driving with him except that I should not be confident in myself on the road. Luckily I didnt drive with him any other days and my other instructors were very helpful and supportive. Overall, the class is great! I just got unlucky with my instructor.

It was amazing. My teacher Mr. brewer taught the clas very well. He kept the class interested.

Very good learning experience. My grandson really enjoyed his driving instructor and the driving sessions.

Both of my children have attended Pitner Driving school. My son has a hardship license, so he could drive at 15 to and from school. His back tires hydroplaned, and he steered the car into the curb instead of into oncoming traffic. He told me Mom, I credit Pitner Driving school for teaching me what to do when you lose control of your vehicle. I did exactly what they told me to do.. He took out a mailbox and a trashcan, but no one was hurt and there was minimal damage to his car. Highly recommend Pitner!!!

The only time I like school is when Im in driver ed. I love the way my teacher (Mr,Criswell ) taight me. He taught me some many rules and many safe way to avoid accident. His note is so easy to remember, either that or he do some much reviews that it some how got stuck to my brain, haha. He taught everything I need to know for the Pitner test. I actually took it today, I am confident that Ill probably make a grade of 95 or above, thanks to my amazing driver ed teacher, Mr,Creswell.

Most of my nieces took this course, they loved it!

Mr. Brewer was an engaging and accommodating teacher.
