I am so grateful and Im pleased to announce that I will be taking my state boards soon, my experience at OMCC was a good one, I remember while I was in school all the negative people that kept saying that the school is all about money, no theyre not,, theyre all about preparing you for your test!! I am a thankful for the teachers and all the staff at OMCC,, especially Bob,,,He helped me get through a lot of things and kept me positive. So if you go to attend OMCC,try to avoid the negative people and remember to keep positive and that the school is there to help you. I hope one day I can return and go for my RN. I want to give a special thanks to Dr.Daisy,, thank you for all that you do for the students. I send many hugs to OMCC and all of the teachers and the staff members and especially doctor Daisy and Bob β€πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŒΉ

OMCC is fantastic! I completed my LPN and RN programs from this college and got my license on first attempt.Nursing school is challenging. It is not something that you can put minimal time into and succeed. I had to study a lot on my own. The teachers are very knowledgeable and I feel like they taught me well. I enjoyed my time here and will recommend this school to my friends.

As a military spouse moving from base to base, the transition to school can be a little intimidating, not to mention frustrating as hell. I appreciate all the encouragement and help OMCC admissions office and financial aid office have given me, I genuinely felt like they cared. Class was fast paced but I had a great teacher who went over everything in meticulous detail to make sure were ready to perform the required skills. Community day carry-in was very fun! I strongly recommend this school to anyone looking for a fast paced program with flexible schedule.

I have worked here for 7 years. We have many supportive faculty and our director is very supportive. Our office staff is great too! I love getting to know my LPN students. We are a smaller school with smaller classes. I try to go above and beyond to help my students. We have many successful students working in the community!

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I came here for phlebotomy and finished, Shonda was a great teacher, but this school as a whole is a mess. The Director of the program is all about a dollar and very careless in my opinion. The day we were supposed to get our sticks done, we were told to bring in food to offer to volunteers and they would provide the pizza. Well, the pizza never was delivered, no explanation, just was told that they got the days mixed up. No apology either! Also, on the last day were supposed to receive our certificates at a certain time, the director went to a class and made us wait until she was done instructing. The people who work in her office as well are very rude, they twist your questions around and have no type real answer! Would never recommend going here if you have to spend a lot of money and want a long term certificate or complete the RN program, you’ll be in a work of irritation. Bottom line, scratch this school off your list if you’re looking to attend somewhere. Not worth the money or time.

I’m so glad that I made the choice to do the Phlebotomy program at OMCC! My teacher/instructor was the best! She always made sure everyone as a group was on the same track and that we ALL understood anything she was teaching us. She is very passionate about her job and it definitely shows! I’m grateful for the education and memories made there.

I work full time so I appreciate the fast pace of the program and its flexibility. The teachers that I have had so far have been great and they really showed an interest in seeing that all their students obtained the necessary information to pass their course. There was never a time that one could reach out the instructor for questions. They also accepted my assignments turned in at a later date due to personal issues. I have recommend this school to others and plan to continue to do so!

04/2019 Very unorganized and unprofessional. We only went over 5 of the 25 skills needed to pass State board. If I didn’t have prior knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a STNA I would have been clueless. Material is presented poorly. Teacher rants about her personal life instead of the core information needed. Would not recommend! There are cheaper options with better results. Waste of $600!!!!

This school is horrible very unorganized no one addresses your concerns the director of the program is very unprofessional never returns email or calls the teachers don’t know how to teach or don’t know what they teaching I was in a class for 6 weeks before the teacher knew she was suppose to be teaching us leadership and we had to take a ATI on leadership even though our teacher didn’t teach us that the director of the program said just read the 75 page ati book you will be fine so basically your teaching your self for 29,000 dollars yes it’s a fast track program but don’t waste your time and money go to another school this one not worth it I’m already half way through the program so I’m gonna finish

Graduated from LPN program and passed my NCLEX in 2014. I feel this program prepared me well for my board as well as nursing career. Dr. Daisy is compassionate and never hesitates to help. Its an accelerated program so expect lots of studying. It wasnt easy but I enjoyed it. And yes, Im posting because I feel some of the other reviews are very unfair.

My name is Shonda and Ive been the Phlebotomy instructor at Ohio Medical Career Center for five years now. I love my job, I enjoy teaching at OMCC and seeing my students succeed. I am addressing a couple of the constructive criticisms that were given in a previous review about the most recent Phlebotomy class. In regards to the pizza situation mentioned, that was my mistake. I do and did apologize. I’m sorry that I didn’t make that clearer that it was my mistake. I forgot to remind our Director that it was Community Day. Because of this, she didn’t have time to order the pizza. For the last five years, our Director has donated pizza for every class out of her own pocket. We greatly appreciate her contribution to the success of the students because it does make a huge difference and she doesn’t have to do that. I feel awful that it reflected poorly on our Director making it seem like she didn’t care and made the students feel like they weren’t given the support they thought they would get. That was my mistake and one I will attempt not to make again. As for the wait time on the Certificates, we are expected to be in class until the standard release time because we have to get in all of our hours. The Director was teaching another class at the time, but she did give us the certificate before our scheduled class end time. It wasnt late at all.We do apologize for the confusions that made you feel about the school, the program, and the staff. We will take your criticism and strive to do a better job in the future.Thank you!

This is a good school and the teachers are very knowledgeable and caring. Its sad that some dont appreciate the education we receive. I graduated in 2013 and passed my board first try. You really have to study, dont expecting everything to fall into your lap. If youre reading the reviews, visit the college and see for yourself.

Terrible. Very dirty place, trash was never being taken out during our evening class which allowed for a lot of bugs to be flying around. Students from other programs would just walk on into our class and be rude and disrespectful. Our teacher was late and would occasionally allow her teenage daughter to come sit in the back of the class, which would be no issue if her daughter would sit and be quiet. However her daughter was extremely rude and extremely disrespectful to our class. All in all DO NOT GO HERE !!

Dont waste your time or money. None of the teachers are organized nor did they follow the handbook that has THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STATE TEST. Its a joke. Im very upset because I paid out pocket and weve barely gone over the essential skills which are pass or fail only. Just go through somewhere else. These people are clueless.

8/23/18. I Called up here wanting to speak to their financial aid dept. because I was potentially going to go here... The lady said I should call his cell phone to reach him. I asked if they had a company extension number as well, because I didnt want to just be using/being reliant on someones personal cell number. She said no because that isnt how their phone system operates. She gave me a Cincinnati cell phone number. I then ask well what is his full name. She says Bob rudely, then goes silent. I then say well okay does he have a last name. She says of course he has a last name ! I said okay what is it then because I asked for it. She didnt even want to tell me until after I asked twice. Very rude and shady. Go else where.
